NTV’s Janet Kanini Ikua Gets Emotional After Learning Of The Unconditional Support Kenyans Have For Her As She Battles Stage 4 Lung Cancer

Cancer is without a doubt one the most debilitating diseases in the world. It attacks you from all angles; physically, psychologically and financially.

And as a human being fighting this disease you need all the help you can get and Kenyans are certainly coming through for NTV’s Janet Ikua. They are praying for her, praying with her and chipping in towards her medical fund. Overwhelmed by al the love and support, Janet took to social media and posted this:

I am speechless.

My mind is still trying to comprehend how thousands of people I have never met or spoken to can willingly, openly, honestly come forward and take a moment to pray for me and my family. This truly is fellowship; Standing In The Gap for your fellow man. I am actually thankful to be unwell if it means that thousands of prayers are being lifted to the heavens as we renew and strengthen our faith in God who is our Refuge, our Shield, our Fortress.

My secondary school classmates and I recently celebrated our 20 year high school reunion. They’re aware of my challenging medical journey over the past 6 months and have taken it upon themselves to assist us with our medical bills, seeing as this diagnosis was so unexpected. I want to confirm that they have started a legitimate Facebook page called Janet Kanini Ikua Medical Fund, organized a paybill number 895790 Account Janet Kanini Ikua, and shared an online payment youcaring.com website link that I’ve posted as follows https://www.youcaring.com/janet-kanini-ikua-447528…

They are using the hashtag ‪#‎IStandWithJanet‬ on social media so yes, these are legitimate efforts by people I know.

I want to thank them and all others who’ve offered this kind of support – may you never lack. And once again I’m rendered speechless at your concern and caring…….

At Only The Cost Of 10 Lagers, Ne-Yo’s Uganda Major Show Dwarfs His Kenyan Visit

When Ne-Yo landed in Kenya a couple of weeks ago as a guest for the Coke Studio to record a mega mash up with kenyan artistes, Kenya had the bragging rights. Well, not any longer Uganda now have the ultimate rights.

The multiple Grammy Award winner is set to perform a mega show in Uganda and there will be no ticket sales. This is unlike the scenario in Kenya where he only got to meet with the press and a select few individuals and spent much of the time at the Coke Studio.

On October 30, Ne-Yo will perform at the Lugogo Cricket Oval. The event will mark the climax of the Bell Lager promotion which has been done countrywide under PopNJam. All who wish to gain entrance will require to be 18 years and above and simply buy a Bell Lager, pop the crown and send the code that they find under the crown to 8464. Ten codes sent will guarantee the consumer a ticket to the Bell concert. Ne-Yo’s is expected to arrive with a big entourage, a 35-strong team, which will comprise band members, sound engineers and dancers, will be housed at Sheraton hotel, another partner for the show.

‘Fan’ Slams Janet Mbugua’s Pregnancy and Alleges That She Has ‘Sponsors’. Janet Then Teaches He a Lesson She Will Never Forget

Janet Mbugua has been abundantly praised and harshly criticized for flaunting her baby bump without a care.

Her critics’ grievances include; wearing ‘tight’ clothes and anchoring the news while pregnant. But Janet has proven time and time again that she is not the one to come for unless she has called for you. And one user named ladyshical must have missed the memo because she wrote this after Janet shared yet another baby bump picture: “This is becoming too much even if we cheered at first. Kindly Tell your sponsors to take a break and leave that belly for Ndichu not the whole world.”

To which one claire_fredrickwrote this in reply “ Hehe u kind a rude i think she is happy with the baby bump n proud too.”

ladyshical then replied to claire_fredrick with “It is good to celebrate but too much of something is poisonous. I wonder why we always fear telling the truth to this celebs at times.@officialjanetmbugua has been most disciplined gal but I don’t blame her i blame her sponsors for where she is headed.”

Disgruntled with the bubble-bursting comment annie.ed wrote “Very nice @officialjanetmbugua . @ladyshical the belly is hers, she can do whatever she likes with it. Live and let live.”

But ladyshical would just not stop and she pushed on, writing “Ha ha @annie.ed am not telling her to change but hope she gets my weird observation. She is a lovely gal .we adored her even before.she doesn’t have to start immulating the Kardashian.”

Maybe Janet was not online and couldn’t reply or the Kardashian comment got to her but Janet fired back with this “I don’t care for your opinion, you don’t have to follow me if you don’t like what you see! This is for men and women who celebrate transitions!”

janet_pg_f.jpg

phyly_nderitu then wrote this “Well said my dear…show your best..n it does not matter t who…i think @ladyshical is just jealous..dont even listen t her….i like your belly my dear”

Ladyshical then wrote “Ha ha you gals amaze me .jealousy for what #AskBiMswafari .I love you @officialjanetmbugua truth be told though it is always bitter.”

Below is the rest of the exchange that may or may have resulted to the ‘hater’ getting blocked:

officialjanetmbugua @ladyshical I can’t be jealous of someone who throws in the word ‘sponsor’ from nowhere. I’m also not saying you’re jealous, you just seem confused. I’d appreciate if you’d unfollow me, not a fan of haters on my timeline. Thanks!

ladyshical I will follow you @officialjanetmbugua without faking .I tell truth when need be and we also celebrate when need be ( Zechariah 8:16 ).no hate. 8

officialjanetmbugua @ladyshical The fact that you couldn’t just put it in another way, and has to mention sponsors, is hating. Learn about constructive criticism (Google it), and you’ll see the difference. Don’t quote the Bible if you’re going to say such things. You may not want to unfollow me so let me block you..

anneaphey @Ladyshical, SHAME on you for telling THE Janet Mbugua “tell your sponsors…. ati sponsors???” Did you confuse her for a janet you may know who only deals with sponsors? Incase you didn’t know, this is THE Janet mbugua. Google her achievements and shut it. @officialjanetmbugua, share every single bit of happiness with your fans. Don’t waste your busy time addresing some insignificant haters.

officialjanetmbugua @jeanneaphey I was like, ‘huh? Sponsors?’ Sometimes people need a reality check. She claims to be someone who supports what I do but I needed her to realize that she needs to check herself and stop confusing hate with constructive criticism.

Meet the Teen Who Fought Hard To Keep Alex Madaga Alive For 18 Hours (Photo)

About a week ago, as story broke that showed us just how badly off our health sector is.

Mr. Alex Madaga now known as the ‘ambulance’ patient was involved in a grave accident but was not able to get help despite visiting 4 hospitals. This was because some of the private hospitals turned him away as they had that ‘no money no admission’ kind of policy and others such as Kikuyu Hospital did not have an ICU, while Nairobi women’s ICU was fully occupied and the ICU at Kenyatta hospital was full.

The accident survivor was then forced to spend 18 hours in an ambulance waiting to be admitted and once he was admitted he ended up on life support with a blood clot in the brain.

His valiant fight for his life came to a sad end at 1.50pm on Friday after his heart gave away much to the heartache of many Kenyans who were praying and rooting for him.

And now it has emerged that Madaga’s valiant fight in the ambulance would not have been possible without the help of one teenager.

Brian Ochieng Odhiambo, a student at St John Ambulance who works for Swift Paramedics Ambulance services spent 18 hours in the ambulance taking care of Alex. And he shared details of the 18 hour ordeal with Nation Newspaper.

Brian Photo | Gerald Anderson | Nation Media Group

Brian reveals that Madaga could have survived saying that “He had been hit at the lower back of his head… He was stable and I knew he would survive if we got him to hospital for the critical care he required.”

Unfortunately due to the fact that he did not receive medical care speedily, Madaga passed away.

“I hope this incident is a wake-up call to the Ministry of Health over the state of health in the country” Brian told The Nation.

“It broke my heart when I heard he died. He would have survived.” he solemnly concluded.

“I Love Lungula ” Amina Abdi Confesses

Well, that’s not something you hear everyday especially from a woman.

Maybe because a large part of the female population fears judgment form the ever-scrutinizing and ever-critical society.

But Amina is not afraid of being judged for that statement and it certainly captures your attention to the important message she is trying to relay.

This week on her You Tube channel; Amina Abdi says that it’s about time she talked to her fans about sex because one, she loves sex and two there are some important messages she needs to pass on about coitus to the public.

In the candid clip, she talks about contraceptives, visiting a VCT and the right time to have sex. And I think it’s nice that she is talking so openly about sex because many kids nowadays are engaging in unprotected sex popularly referred to as ‘team raw’ completely unaware of the physical and psychological  implications of their act.

And kids need someone who they look up to such as a celebrity to advise them on the sex issue because Lord knows trying to teach a teenager is harder than rocket science.

The Tonny Chronicles:She Curved Me Because I Didn’t Have A Car… But She Wasn’t Ready For This.

“When it rains, it pours”, the past few weeks, my little house of cards has come crumbling to the ground; so has everything else. Everything seems to have suddenly decided to dance out of tune, like a drunk bloke at a beer party who never gets the moves right.

Let me tell you how it all started.

I met Chloe at a corporate dinner a few months back and she stole my heart, all of it. She was the most perfect being you ever saw, seated there in all her glory at their company table clad in a burgundy cape, a little black dress beneath it and the reddest Givenchy pumps you ever saw, the most startling thing was her face, and her lips which stood out, her ox-blood lipstick commanding attention to her full lips.

I fell in love when she stood up to walk to the ladies, her hips swaying majestically as she walked the length of room with the swaying gait of a duck.

By  the time she came back from the ladies with a fresher coat of lipstick on, I had already made up my mind; armed with a little speech made in my mind I walked up to her.

“Hey miss, I beg your indulgence for a minute, can I talk to you outside?”

She looked at me as if trying to measure my worth; I looked pretty decent, brogues on my feet complemented by a charcoal gray Giambatista Valli suit. She smiled after 30 long seconds and stood up and walked outside, I was beyond excited as  I walked behind her, meekly, taking it all in, making up my little speech complete with flattering references from Shakespeare and Lord Tennyson.

After a short walk we got out side and stood near a cropped rose hedge, dinner would be served in exactly 15 minutes, that was enough time to execute my speech.

“Chloe ,I started, Colpo di fulmine. The thunderbolt, as Italians call it. When love strikes someone like lightning, so powerful and intense it can’t be denied. It’s beautiful and messy, cracking a chest open and spilling their soul out for the world to see. It turns a person inside out, and there’s no going back from it. Once the thunderbolt hits, your life isirrevocably changed….”  I finished coyly, quoting J.m Darhower’s Sempre

Those short minutes, we held hands and a bolt of electricity shot up my arm, if Chloe felt anything; she was doing a wonderful job of keeping it masked.

After Dinner, Chloe left with her colleagues with a promise that she would call me.

She called me the following day and set up a date later that evening at the ocean basket.  I showed up for date an hour late thanks to the traffic. Chloe did not give anything away, she was expressionless as I sat across her.

After dinner she began…

“Tonny, driving here can’t be that bad, I was here an hour earlier; what kind of a guy keeps a lady waiting “

“Chloe, I need to tell you something, I don’t have a car, I had to take a matatu here, and traffic was so bad that’s why I showed up late…”

“What? You don’t have a car and you wore a Giambatista valli the other day?” “What sort of a man shops Italian wears brogues and has no car?”

I couldn’t speak, here were my dreams spilling out from the little chest I had conjured. Chloe stood up, smirked and left.

When she got to the door, she turned and shouted:

“Buy a car, loser!”

Everyone turned and looked at me, I could see pity written all over their faces and in their bulbous eyes as I stood and made a walk of shame to the door tears welling up and stinging my eyes.

I made it to the door as Chloe whipped past in her car without even turning to look at me.  I made it home alright and slumped in bed. By the grace of God I caught some sleep and slept off my frustrations.

The morning after, I woke up to a missed call from a strange number, 0734111777.  I was not in the mood of entertaining strange calls after being curved.

As if on cue, the strange number called me again, the caller identified themselves as employees of Airtel Kenya before telling me that I had won a car!

I called it bluff and hanged up; I had heard enough of Kamiti inmates soliciting for money from people after such trickery and tomfoolery. I wasn’t about that life; before I even fixed my breakfast, Chloe called me; I looked at the phone the same way a person looks at their bully.

The next thing I knew was a message from Chloe:

“Hey hun, it is never that serious, pick my calls, I just saw your name all over the news, is it true that you won that expensive car??”

When Airtel called me later that afternoon with details of how to get my car, I was beyond myself with glee and elation!

I had joined Airtel Smartika competition harmlessly only to be surprised with a dream car when I really needed it! The good thing is that pretty anyone can participate in the competition, If you miss the car, you might win money, or other goodies! If you don’t, you will have tried and we all know what trying does.

As we speak, Chloe is slowly creeping back, this time though, I’m calling the shots, but most importantly, I will never be late for a date!

Here’s the catch, you can join the smartika competition too by clicking here

After His Release, a Bitter Mugo Wa Wairimu Laments About Life After The Rapist Doctor Case

Mugo Wa Wairimu was previously known to the public as a vocal opinionated blogger famed for his controversial statements.

But an expose by Citizen TV had him known as the quack doctor who was caught on camera sedating and raping his patient. After being in and out of court and cells, he was freed on October 5th on a Cash Bail of Kshs 5 Million

And he took to Facebook lamenting to his fans and friends about the rapist doctor accusations which he describes as water off a duck’s back.

“It’s Been The Bitterest Moment In My Life. I’m Almost Glad All That Happened.” he wrote before adding that “I’m Almost Glad All That Happened. A Great Crisis It Was But I’ve Turned It To A Great Opportunity…”

He then continues his rant with “I’ve Seen What Is Probably The Worst That A Man Can Go Through… I’ve Seen All Types Of Snakes And Pretenders Masquerading As Friends.

Artcaffé Accused Of Racism Once Again and the Complains Against the ‘Java’ Joints Are as Equally Unpalatable

Artcaffé and Java are some of the most popular joints in the country especially among the middle class. But the complaints leveled against the two establishments are becoming grim by the day. About two years ago, Artcaffé was accused of Racism and now they have been accused of the same vice once again.

Donald Kipkorir complained of racial profiling by waiters at Artcaffé Lavington Mall writing “Am at ArtCaffe Lavington Mall in a meeting with a CEO of one of the most strategic state corporations and observing racial profiling by waiters. When Black Africans come in, no one sits them down and the waiters take time to bring menus. When mzungus come in, waiters trip each other to show them where to sit and with menus in hand. I don’t know when Black waiters in Nairobi restaurants will understand that not all mzungus have more money than blacks … And for sure the mzungus in Kenya malls and restaurants can’t have more more than blacks in the same places. I have complained consistently against racial profiling. It is the height of stupidity to look down on black customers. ArtCaffes and similar restaurants ought to have change of attitude. At the end of the day, we are here to stay and the mzungus will exhaust their little savings and go back.”

While the complaints leveled against Java were much worse. From racial profiling to rude waiters to uncooked to cold food to vermin crawling all over the establishments, it seems you are better off eating in a kibanda.

Milderd Atty Owiso who runs the ‘Buyer Beware’ page on Facebook also wrote posted this about Java:

java3.jpg

But that’s not all, equally disgusted customers chipped in into the discussion, and some of the comments will leave you feeling nauseous

Classic 105’s Tina said that “That Kimathi street one hata kama you pay me what I can’t eat there!! What I went through I will never wish upon anyone.Ended up sick for 8 months”

While Cathryn Musyoka complained of food poisoning at TRM writing that “My son almost died cos of severe food poisoning from Java TRM!”

Apart from food poisoning, others such as Mideva Wanjala complained of vermin writing that “ need i mention the cockroaches roaming the Mama Ngina branch, from the sitting area to the cakes’ cabinet! And yes – diarrhoea!!!” while another user named Samora Siltu agreed to the cockroach story with this “Java Greenspan mall is worse…from huge roaches loitering on the table, they serve you cold food n their lemonade is over diluted

This Is What Willis Raburu Was Busted Doing (Video)

Willis Raburu is an affable if not comical journalist with a huge taste for the humorous and the hilarious. Back when he was doing Truthmeter, he would have fun busting up colleagues during their unguarded moments on camera.

Well he has just been served his fair share of his own medicine the none other than the solemn Hussein Mohammed. On the last segment of the Big Question news show, Willis Raburu was busted up pacing around the room, yawning and fretting about the struggles of his job. the hilarious video has had the reporter becoming a the object of funny memes topping even the preceding trends he was sharing. Here is that busted video;

Check Out The Obama Diss Track To Donald Trump That’s Trending

Obama has always been a charming different kind of president. His last term in office has even offered him more freedom since their is little bother from popularity ratings.

However, the candidature of Donald Trump has seen him on the receiving end of incessant attacks about his person and administration. Never one to walk away from a challenge the President of the US has responded and more than that someone has got his back and done a diss track to Donald Trump the man who finds fault at everything Kenyan. Alphacat, acting as Obama’s rap doppelganger has a done a rendition of Drake’s Diss to Meek Mill Back to Back and it is some work of genius full of POTUS’ mannerisms and tight punch lines it went viral. Here is the video with some canny lyrics;

Our condolences to Vera and may her Granny rest in peace.

The Five Foul Mouthed Public Figures In Kenya Who Abused Their Freedom Of Expression (No. 5 Will Surprise you)

Individuals on the public platform whether they like it or not are always held on a higher moral and ethical threshold than the other mortals.

Their position gives them influence real and perceived and regardless of how they attained the position they are expected to at least embrace decorum in their undertakings. However, it is proving to be the opposite with some individuals and this year has seen some unique lows.

Moses Kuria

The Mp has to be holding the record for most charges on account of hate speech. From tribal to individuals to religions, when on full throttle his ability to pour vitriol is unmatched on the political scene. His actions aside from landing him in the justice corridors have also seen him being banned on using his social media accounts at one time. He is currently embroiled in the Fixing saga thanks to his loose cannon character.

Aden Duale

Aden Duale the leader of majority in parliament can count his popularizing of ‘si ya mamako’ as one of his achievements. In full presence of the Deputy President and all cameras, he made every other loose cannon in the country look like a mere amateur when he infamously uttered, ‘Hii pesa si mamako bana’ and had even  his allies cringing.

Njoki  Chege

It is not out of design that she comes next to politicians on this list. Her specialty is abusing large sections of the populace and thanks to her Daily Nation platform she can reach all of them even when they would have ignored her. Such is her foul way of expression she could be warning about a real tragedy but manages to alienate and infuriate even would be supporters. Her recent tirade against fat women is still in its after shocks.

Robert Alai

For a man of his standing, Alai does have a penchant for getting petty and really uncouth and uncivil. From his personal feud with Esther Passaris to his rather crude reference of Ciku Muiruri’s breasts and the sweat in a broadcaster’s armpits,  Alai just loses it when in a personal dispute with an individual.

Mutahi Ngunyi

This is a surprise inclusion given his personal dignatas prior to the moment of madness (though nowadays they tend to come in plenty for him). While he has been at times controversial, and not afraid to take the unconventional opinion, he has always tried to maintain an aura of someone above the follies of politicians. Yet his Twitter rant against a whole tribe was more than just a slur. He is currently out on bail for hate charges and it is hard to imagine him regaining his standing in society.

Prezzo Proves That He Is Kenya’s King Mswati after He Flirts Outrageously with New Woman Whom He Fondly Calls ‘Cookie’

Prezzo’s love life is like a Kenyan Marathon runner, we just cannot keep up!

A few months ago, he was spotted flirting outrageously with a slender young lady (Michelle) who bears a striking resemblance to Huddah Monroe, and then he introduced a different woman, some model as his girlfriend.

So everyone thought that this was the girlfriend. But it seems things have changed he was spotted with Michelle on several occasions looking like a couple. He fondly calls Michelle his Cookie so maybe we should call him Lucious Lyon.

Toilet Rapist Finally Arrested After High School Girls Protested

Apparently a woman is raped every thirty minute in Kenya. Not my words, that’s according to a report by Nairobi Women Hospital.

Every 30 minute there is a lunatic somewhere in Kenya forcing himself into a woman. That’s not only sickening but it’s also worrying. Where will we hide our women? Is it time to introduce castration?

Anyhow, a form one student at Highridge Secondary School was allegedly raped by her Biology teacher who was shielded by the school Principal until all evidence was erased.

Hilary Okeyo is said to have ordered the girl to wait for him in the staffroom, a safe haven for him to execute his despicable act.

There were no teachers in the staffroom then. The Biology teacher followed the girl and upon arrival, he dragged her to the nearby staff toilet and did the unthinkable. Hilary then ordered the girl to clean herself once he was done.

The head teacher was informed of the rape incident on Thursday but she took the girl to the hospital on Saturday. And this was after students protested and chanted anti rape slogans.

So the evidence was washed away and the girl was taken to hospital after the 72 hour period elapsed. It will be a hard case to prove in court and God, hope he didn’t infect her.

American Rapper Offers To Raise 1.5 Million Kshs for the Families of the 147 Lives Snatched Away During the Garissa Massacre

At the break of dawn on 2nd April this year, armed gunmen stormed into Garissa University to begin a day-long siege of the campus. Later in the day, the siege came to a bloody end, with 147 lives mostly of students lost.

About 6 months after the attack, families of the victims came out in droves to ask the government for compensation but were sadly informed by a member of the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee that it would take time.

Saying that “Such cases are very complicated, with minimal chances of success. More so, if it succeeds it may not be the anticipated outcome. The Government cannot just sign off millions of shillings in compensation without a due legal process.”

Now a rapper from the U.S.A known as Trinidad James is looking to help the families of the victims by raising money through gofundme.com.

{youtube}Rbv0mGCVuck{/youtube}

He aims to raise about 147,000 Dollars which is about 1.5 Million shillings to go towards the Garissa victims’ families and will do a free concert in Kenya to raise more cash.

In addition, he organized a Pray For Kenya benefit concert that went down last week and the money collected will also go to the Gariissa victims’ families.

This Young College Girl Shocked Many By Dramatically Fighting The Mighty Military Alone! On Thika Road (Photos)

What do you do when your car has been hit by some other motorist from behind, having just recently owned a car myself, and slowly acquainted myself with Road Rules, you stop your car right where the accident happened, turn it off, lock the windows and walk out of the car to meet the guy who just hit you.

You DO NOT move your car an inch. You’ve gotta stay at the scene of crime,if I may call it that. And no matter what, you must never allow the other guy to move his car too. You must stay right where it happened…Doesn’t matter whether it’s in the middle of a mad Highway or at some crazy intersection.

Now,at around 4pm yesterday evening, some young woman, driving a blue Toyota Aqua, number plate withheld, was driving along Thika Road when she took a turn under the bridge found around the beginning of the Eastern Bypass.

Following her closely behind, was a gigantic Army Lorry, jungle green in color, with a super powerful body, huge powerful wheels and an imposing,if intimidating look.

The Army Lorry must have been in a hurry to quickly exit the road under the bridge and as they did so,they slightly knocked into the car in front of them… The blue car.

Realizing that they had hit the car,and crashed the rear lights, the driver of the Military lorry attempted to flee the scene and get away as quickly as possible. But not so fast.

Unintimidated by the sheer size of the lorry,or the powerful sound of its blazing engine,or the mere thought of the fearsome men in it,the driver of the little blue car drove fast and caught up with them, and just as they attempted to drive even faster and get away from her,she hit the accelerator hard, drove even faster and parked RIGHT INFRONT OF THE HUGE LORRY.

Everyone gasped. They had never seen that.

Quickly, the door opened and out came a little girl with a little body frame and little height. Unbowed, she walked right up to the Military men and told them to their face ‘You’ve HIT MY CAR! AND BROKEN MY LEFT REAR LIGHT! Now,get down and let’s deal with this!’

Drama ensued, traffic came to a standstill,a crowd quickly gathered and the girl was unmoved.

The Military guys, still shocked, wondered how such a little girl, with a little blue car could DARE block their way. And command them around.

Immediately, she whipped out her phone and started making endless phone calls.

The Men in Uniform didn’t have a choice. They had to OBEY the girl who stood next to their mighty truck and made sure they went nowhere.

‘Haka kasichana ni nani!? Kanabishana na serikali!? ‘ Crowds started wondering.

‘Gaka kairetu kai ke na ngoma! Ino ni thirikari karapambana nayo uguo!?’ people wondered in Kikuyu.

A man in uniform walked up to her and tried comforting her, sweet talking her and asking her to move her car. SHE REFUSED.

‘sawa, zima simu tuongee basi… ‘she was told. Again, she REFUSED.

SHE DEMANDED INSTANT COMPENSATION.

Nothing seemed to shake her,not the crowds, not the matatu drivers hooting incessantly, not the sight of the Army boys in full camouflage uniform and sturdy boots, not even the sight of the huge guns the military men were carrying.

She stood firm and stoop still, calling on her phone, standing right in front of the huge truck and shocking all who gathered. And throughout the whole madness, she didn’t remove her heart-shaped,rainbow sunglasses. She wore them through it all,and when even asked to remove them to enable the police to see her properly and communicate with her face to face, she still refused. Wow!

More officers came. And more. And more. Still,SHE REFUSED TO MOVE. Or be moved.

“Labda huyu ni msichana wa Mheshimiwa. Ama mtoto wa Governor… ‘ People whispered to themselves.

‘Sijawai ona mtu akiharakisha askari hivi! Huyu ni wa kwanza… ‘

‘Hi,can I get your photo!? ‘ I asked.’ I am from the Media….Can I take a photo of you?’

‘No.’

‘Wow! You’re courageous! I want to write about you…About this incident…’

‘No’

‘Fine. Can I get your number? Will call you when all this Madness is over ‘

‘No.’

I gave up and stepped aside.

‘Kamesemaje!?’ A friend asked.

I didn’t talk. I walked into my little car. Drove off. And haven’t forgotten what I saw. I probably never will.

After Sensationally Walking Out Of The Live Interview, Moses Kuria Makes A Comeback To The Big Question On Citizen In A Hot Interview

Gatundu Mp Moses Kuria has such great affinity for making news and last night must have topped it all up. You all remember when he pulled the now famous protest walk from the Citizen Studio on a live interview with Hussein Mohammed.

Well, last night he made the appearance coming in a few minutes late when the host and the other guest were already in. In fact, he even brought back the microphones he had taken with him last time. Well he was still in his aggressive and argumentative self but managed to bring his best behavior too citing his being Catholic and the impending Papal visit.

In the interview, Moses Kuria accepted as he has in rallies being part of a group that sourced false witnesses and paid them to give false witnesses. He took time to apologize to Kenyans though from the feedback there were few taken in by his remorse. The ‘Fixing’ debate seems set to be stuck with us for some time and it gets murkier the further details are revealed. It is a pity that both the PEV victims and the two accused in ICC were mere pawns in a larger game. Here is the video of the very hot interview

Here The New Jam Ratchet Colonel Mustafa Has Dropped After The Obscene Dodoma Singida That Sparked Uproar

Some four months ago, Colonel Mustafa was the talk of the town after he gave the nation the most lewd song after Blaqy’s ‘Money Maker’.

Mustafa irked many with ‘Dodoma Singida’; Nyota Ndogo couldn’t keep her frustrations with the rapper’s song to herself and she ultimately decided to roast him.

It seems the songstress’ public criticisms of the song hammered the message deep inside Mustafa’s brain. The rapper has ‘refrained’ from shooting indecent videos.

Mustafa has a new video dubbed ‘Panga Pangua’ and it’s not dirty. Yes there is a lady in a bikini but she’s not flaunting her body in a provocative way.

The ‘once ratchet’ rapper courted Brown Mauzo to drop the new jam. So how is the song, as in is it dope or is it whack??

Mhh! You be the judge. Watch it below;

K24’s ‘Bweta La Uhalifu’ Expose Shocks Kenyans To The Core And Here Are Some Reactions

Yesterday, K24 finally aired their highly rated expose ‘The Killer Gangs of Kisumu’ at 9.00pm and Bweta La Uhalifu: Wauwaji Sugu Wa Kisumu during the 7.00 P.M news bulletin.

The exposé sheds light on a unruly violent gang in Kisumu that commits the most atrocious crimes in wild abandon as the police turn a blind eye to their activities. The gang is said to be above the law and the only thing Kisumu residents can do is watch them conduct their malevolent activities in broad daylight.

The gangs are said to be funded by political figures and the bunch of hooligans have not only caused terror in the hearts of Kisumu residents but also caused unsettling in the stomachs and brains of many Kenyans.

NTV Reporter Involved In A Road Accident (Photo)

NTV sports reporter, Seth Olale, was greatly shaken by the incident that happened along Langata Road. Talk of those situations that make you think there are angels watching over you.

Tyre burst is one of the causes of road accidents and at time the results are tragic, depending on the speed one was driving in.

Seth Olale’s car veered off the road and made an instant 360 degree turn when his tyre burst while driving along Langata Road. The car stopped at the edge of a huge ditch.

The incident happened while the NTV reporter was approaching T-Mall Mbagathi roundabout. He was completely shaken even though he wasn’t hurt.

“Friends, about an hour ago, God saved me from what could have been a tragic accident. Rear Tyre burst abruptly along Langata rd while approaching T-Mall Mbagathi roundabout. Car veered off the road, made an instant 360 turn, and Miraculously stopped at the very edge of a huge ditch.” [sic]

The Top Five Celebrity Trends That Have Become Dominant This Year

The year is almost up, just two months to go that is if the El-Nino doesn’t choose to end it much faster. Over the year there have been a few consistent trends among the celebrity community that stood out either for their freshness or the effort placed in them by the celebrities.

The dominated the blogs and news pages and celeb after celeb joined in establishing a trend. Here are the top five trends of the year in no particular order.

1. Travelling Abroad REPEATEDLY

Before you tell me that this has always been happening, the stress here is on repeatedly and then by almost everyone in whatever facet of the industry. This year has been dominated with celebrities from comedians and musicians to disc jockeys and all major socialites making trip abroad with some doing it severally. A while back that used to be the preserve of the likes of Redsan and Wyre cause of the audience music. Now if an artiste ends a year without a trip outside even for an award or conference….

2. Weddings and/or Engagements

This has to be the year that has seen most celebrity and hyped marriages and engagement ceremonies. From This Is Ess internet breaking engagement to the long awaited Dennis Okari and Betty Kyalo wedding. The celebrities have really had us swooning with their romantic and idealistic marriages and the trend is set to continue with other Showbizz couples still coming through before the year ends.

3. Fashion Line/Clothing Shops

This is another trend that has become so huge this year. Even for celebrities who have had the fashion lines or cloth wear the advertisement, placement and promotional campaigns have just been a bit high this year. You would be forgiven to think owning a clothing shop or line is part of requirements of being an A list celebrity.

4. Riding/Owning a cyberboard

This is truly a new one in these shores and it is quickly becoming an obsession among our celebrities. From Jaguar’s ride abroad, creme`de la creme`to Huddah’s current obsession, the hover board mania is still set to rock this year and still spill over to the next one.

5. Get an initiative or foundation

Giving back to the community has become well embraced with the celebrity community that nearly everyone is either setting up a foundation or getting engaged in ambassadorships or initiatives.

Raila Instructs Lawyers To Sue Hospitals That Turned Away The Patient Who Died After Waiting In An Ambulance For 18 hours

Last Friday, the late Alex Madaga made headlines after several news outlets highlighted his misery in the hands of medical institutions.

The deceased was rushed to Kikuyu Mission Hospital after being knocked by a speeding car along Waiyaki Way on Monday the 5th. The hospital referred him to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for specialized treatment.

KNH refused to admit Alex on grounds that it did not have an ICU bed. The departed was then rushed to different hospitals but still they couldn’t admit him without a cash payment of Sh200,000.

He was taken back to KNH but he was not admitted until the evening of the following day after his lawyer cousin fought to have him taken in by the hospital. By then, Alex had already spent 18 hours in the ambulance fighting for his life.

The 37 year old Alex passed on three days after he was admitted at Kenyatta. Sources say he died at 1:50pm last Friday.

Former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, has since instructed his lawyers Anthony Oluoch and Mr Edwin Sifuna, to institute legal proceedings against hospitals for denying Alex emergency medical treatment.

Raila says every Kenyan is guaranteed by the constitution the highest attainable standard of health be it in a private or public health facilities.

The CORD leaders added he had instructed his lawyers to liaise with Mr. Madaga’s family to institute legal proceedings against the hospitals.

Kristoff Admits His Songs Lack Lyrically And Blames Shaffie For The Ruckus About Him and Sidika

Kristoff of the ‘Dandia kama Mathree’ is has been busy off late doing gigs courtesy of the countrywide hit song. The song while receiving massive airplay has largely been singled out to quality lack lyrical content as do several of his other songs.

Well, the ‘Mluhya from Busia’ has finally responded to that claim and many more others. In an interview with the Pulse magazine, he explains the reason behind such a move is the audience.

Kristoff argues that Nairobi standards cannot be used to produce hit songs and that he decided to focus on simple lyrics the common Mwananchi would relate to.He even says he decided to take cue from Jaguar and hence the content of his music and hence the success of Dandia. So he does accept that the lyrical content could be lacking.

Kristoff also took time to alleged relationship with Vera Sidika. This time he took a different angle from just denying it all and saying they are just good friends, Kristoff says it is Vera Sidika who fell for him and while they are cool he blames the whole circus and noise that emerged alleging their intimacy to Shaffie Weru and as he says, only God knows why.

Do Me I Do You: After KPLC Cuts Off City Hall Electricity, The County Clamps Stima Plaza Over Debt

KPLC and the Nairobi County government are two entities known very well for their penchant of harsh penalties and rogue enforcement tactics while being slow and undependable on service delivery.

Thus it was quite good and hilarious too to see them have a go at each over defaulted payments. KPLC fired the first shots last week when they disconnected power to City Hall over a 100 million bill. This is despite what the County treasury head Maurice Okere says are regular payments of 25 million monthly. Yesterday, City Hall returned the favor in a move that saw it set up a blockade of all Stima Plaza Gates in a 4 hour seize under the guard of police officers. The blockade ended only after negotiations involving the governor Evans Kidero, the County Finance Chief and KPLC Chairman ended. The Nairobi County government seeks 608 million from the power supplier a debt it says has been accruing since 2002. Here are the photos;

One of Kenya’s Hottest Celebrities and Habida’s Best friends explains Why She Is Still Single at 36

In Africa, once you hit 25, your parents keep asking when you are getting married and when they will get to see their grandkids.

The pressure increases as you grow older and Jane Mukami who is known to many as the ‘Fit Kenyan Girl’, a local fitness powerhouse/ blogger is no stranger to the ‘Utaoa Lini?’ questions and the pressure.

She admits that her well-meaning mum often asks her “Why are you not going out? You need to find a husband.”

jane.jpg

But society also mounts some pressure on her especially because she is 4 years shy of 40. Jane says that the reason she is not married yet is because she is super-busy and has not had the time to look for a husband. But she says that she never stress about things that are beyond her control, if she finds a husband well and good. She however admits that she likes the whole idea of having a family.“I do want kids, I want a family. Most people get surprised when I say I want kids and I get surprised that they are surprised I want kids” she divulges.

So what kind of man is suitable for her? “The type of man I want and need, unfortunately there are few Kenyan men who would mesh well with my lifestyle” she confesses before adding that she wants a man who likes to keep fit, eat healthy and is a teetotaler like her.

The King of Genge offered his wife a five star treat at Safari Park in an intimate moment that just had the two of them in a clearly reserved and cleared section given the solitude the pair had. Not one to wax poetical on matters of the heart, the King then posted this simple birthday message wish;

‘Happy Birthday my Rib may you live to blow a thousand candles’

I guess that much can do when this is the gesture (check out the photo below)
