Two wives of the famed Jahazi Modern Taarab singer Mzee Yusuf the manager and leader of the Jahazi Modern Taarab troupe are not allowed to use Instagram. This is not just a mere reprimand as Mzee Yusuf has gone ahead to make it one of the grounds for a divorce.

The Taarab music maestro says that he had taken the actions following a conflict between his two wives on social media platforms and he had established their Instagram accounts to be the main cause. He himself is also leaving the account leaving only the groups account running for business purposes.

He revealed this while on an interview with Clouds FM TV saying the wives are under a warning not to get on Instagram secretly as that would be how they will earn their divorce. Whatever you think of the actions you cannot doubt the decisiveness of the old man.

Catherine Waithera Njogu was murdered in cold blood at her workplace in the Middle East by a monstrous compatriot.

The deceased hails from Ruiru in Kiambu County and was working in Dubai at Salja Mystery Marketing Company as an assistant administrator.

Ms Waithera was killed by a jilted wannabe lover Watson Njiiri who was later arrested by authorities in Dubai at his hideout.

Sources say the killer was in a ‘friend-zone’ relationship with the deceased before they broke up. Njiiri had reportedly resorted to use all means to woo Catherine back into his pouch but the deceased still rejected him. He stalked her on Facebook as he desperately tried to win her back.

The killer is said to have threatened to kill Catherine a month before he walked into her workplace and actually executed his threat.

But why didn’t Njiiri move on after he was dumped? Njiiri claimed that he had spent a lot of money to bring Waithera from Kenya to Dubai thus wanted a romantic relationship with her.

When Catherine refused to get him out of the friend-zone and make him the apple of her eyes, Njiiri felt betrayed and resorted to end her life.

Njiiri stormed into Catherine’s workplace on March 1st at around 4.30pm battered the 27-year-old lady before finally stabbing her to death.

Dubai police were led to Njiiri’s hideout by a witness. The coldhearted killer was arrested on Friday 4^th March at his friend’s house.

Bakari Tsuma Joto who was yesterday laid to rest at his Mkongani home in Kwale County. Nairobi Senator was there to pay his last respect!

Some two days ago, Sonko popped to claim he feared for his life after his bodyguard Bakari Tsuma Joto was shot dead by unknown assailants.

Sonko who attended the burial pledged to support the family of the deceased and all those who depended on the late Bakari Tsuma Joto.

“Since he was his family’s sole bread winner, I decided to give him a good send off and show him my last respect by catering for all the funeral costs including clearing all the bills at Nairobi Hospital (where he was at the ICU) amounting to Sh1.3m, I paid school fees up to class 8 and form 4 for all his dependants he left behind i.e his form 3 sister Mwanajuma joto at Waa girls secondary; his daughter Fatuma Joto a Class 7 pupil at St. Joseph Boarding School, Chuka and his son at Kasarani Academy. I also pledged to pay for their fees at the next level of education once they are through with primary and secondary education respectively. I also undertook to surrender to his family a title deed of a half acre plot I bought for each of my staff at Mlolongo in Syokimau once the subdivision process is completed. After the mourning period is over i will donate capital to both his widows so that they start doing income generating businesses.” Disclosed Sonko.

That is violence directed towards me by their spouses. Understandably, few men come out in the open to discuss and talk about their tribulations. This is why the recent report by an NGO coming in the aftermath of Moses Wetangula’s tribulations will come as a shocker.

According to the research conducted by Maendeleo ya Wanaume 18 Governors, 13 Senators, 95 MPs, and 346 MCAs are assaulted everyday by their wives.

Speaking to the Nation while releasing the findings, the the Chairman Nderitu Njoka said many even went to the desperate lengths of blaming their kids for the injuries saying they suffered them while playing with them. He blamed such behavior to the stigma suffered by the victims from society.

She lost her job, her grandma who brought her up got sick, she was diagnosed with a strange disease…things can’t any worse for the trend panelist.

Njambi Koikai was rushed to Nairobi hospital late February after her lungs collapsed.

Njambi today explained she was diagnosed with endometriosis, a condition brought about by extremely painful period cramps.

She explains the condition can move to different organs in the body and damage them; hers moved to the diaphragm and punctured it causing her lungs to collapse.

Njambi explains endometriosis can also spark other conditions such as infertility and cervical cancer. She urges women to get checked up in order to avoid these conditions.

“The weight loss is real but I’m doing m best to eat as much as I can. Just done an interview for the health segment on one of our dailies. Well it’s International Women’s Day…I suffer from extremely painful period cramps which is a condition known as endometriosis. Now this endometriosis is dangerous. Especially in our 30’s…it moves to different organs of your body. Mine moved to my diaphragm and punctured it and then to my lungs hence the collapses ..now when you are on your menses…the endometriosis in other organs also bleeds. So in this case my lungs were having to deal with this bleeding and could not cope. There’s a girl whose ENDOMETRIOSIS moved to the brain and she gets epileptic seizures. This is a disease that is causing infertility, removal of the uterus and ovaries and also leads to ovarian and cervical cancer. This is where we are as women. We need to stand up and speak in order to get help. I won’t go further into all the procedures I have to undergo but many women are suffering in silence and we are being shamed. Do not shame a woman. Support her, respect her and care for her. Happy International Women’s Day to the women I call mum, mummy and my little sis and my other sisters out there. Bless your heart’s.” Wrote Njambi.

A few years ago, an Indian woman was gang–raped by four police officers after she went to try and secure the release of her husband from a police station .

Now  our country is still reeling in shock following some shocking incident where Daisy Karimi was raped repeatedly by some members of the Kenyan police.

Ms Karimi who gave birth through cesarean section after a rape ordeal found herself in the hands of souless  Administration Police officers who raped her at the Eastern PC’s headquarters back in 2012.

After the incident, she later relocated to Runyenjes  where she was kidnapped by some of her former rapists including one she simply referred to as ‘Woria’, they took her to a deserted house and the 3 of them descended on her,  raping her repeatedly.

As if the rape was not enough, one of them said that he would cut her before he proceeded to engrave his name ’Ouma’ on her stomach and legs with a knife.

So here I am ready to get my products priced, I notice a beautiful white lady behind me with her colored aka point 5 kids who keep jumping all over making joyful noise, I carry on with my business give my shopping to this amazing young lady at the till her name is Mary she was amazing, very polite and efficient.

After I pay for my shopping I quickly started sorting out my change, at that moment I noticed there wasn’t any person to help put the stuff in the plastic bags but heck, sometimes they ain’t there and I can do it by myself but this is what grossed the African in me, I had barely even picked a plastic bag when this young man comes over and starts packing the white ladies shopping and my shopping was way more than hers there is no way he couldn’t notice it and so I look at him and tell him politely, “this lady and I aren’t together”, because I assumed he thought she was my wife, and he looks at me and says “wee jisaidie nasaidia huyu muzungu” the Kenyan/Zambian/Zimbabwean in me just entered in Freedom fighter mode…..(For those who don’t know, I was raised in Capetown,South Africa at one point in my life and I attended a school where we were only 2 black kids and 2 colored kids in the entire school and even then I remember my encounter with racism, one Boer kid called Christopher asked me how my dad could afford a better car than his dad and my dad is black(I won’t tell you the make you might think I am bragging), I just remember thinking my dad pays the same fees as your dad whats wrong with you and yes I whooped the kid for saying that..

Now back to today when I heard that statement I immediately called his manager to express my dissatisfaction and asked if this is how they treat their customers? also because I am of color does it mean I wont get good service?..Mary (remember the till attendant) came over and told her manager she recognized my voice from radio at that point you should have seen the look on the managers face it changed faster than Duale against Waiguru, he immediately started apologizing, he has even offered me a 20K shopping voucher just to say sorry for the unfortunate incident I accepted his apology but I am thinking of whom to give the shopping voucher to.

My issue is do we really look down on our own skin color we treat each other badly because we are of color…That’s sheer nonsense we are all equal you can’t treat me less….”

Ugandans have been urged to boycott events and functions organized by Tubonga Naawe artists which comprises of heavyweights like Chameleone, Juliana Kanyomozi, Bebe Cool among others.

Tubonga Naawe artists; Bebe Cool, Jose Chameleone, King Saha, Juliana Kanyomozi, Iryn Namubiru and Rema Namakula etc comprised President Museveni’s reelection theme song dubbed ‘Tubonga Naawe’ which was praising the incumbent’s 30 year rule.

Ugandans have been bitter with these artists for aligning themselves with a dictator and as such the opposition, Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), called on citizens to boycott events and functions organized by President Museveni and his supporters including the Tubonga Naawe artists.

Bebe Cool reacted to FDC’s call saying he would still make money even if Ugandans boycotted his gigs. He penned a lengthy explanation giving details as to how he would ‘survive’:

Hahahahahaha,I hear boycott.

Let me be simple and clear,dynamics keep changing and that’s a result and nature and new technology.

In simple mathematics,

20,000 people paying 20k ug sh for a concert is 400,000,000m.To organise such an event u need at least not less than 200m hence saving 200m for a nun TUBONGA NAWE artist.

And it’s an out door event that has no weather guarantee.

On the other hand

Let’s say 19000 boycott my concert,my organising budget will be half,I will go indoor n be sure about the weather and for an indoor event,b4 it starts,u already know whose coming, I will charge higher coz my musical status has both high end funs and low end funs,one table will go for 5m and I will only need to sell 100 tables each of 10 people sitting but 5m multiplied by 100 tables equals 500,000m. Minus expenses of 100m I save 400,000,000m.

I wish FDC put MATHS in their arguments, it will help them not see Uganda’s issues in fiction.

So my brothers n sisters who r talking about boycotting my concerts,I started Serena concerts 2 years ago and this is year three but am so sure that I will sell all the tables and even broadcast the event live for the whole country to see that u can’t put a good man down.

The boycott will also help the music industry to evolve to the next level where I want to only perform once or twice a year but make big money to last me thru out and this will increase the demand for any artist hence raise the pay for musicians in general after all people have been complaining that ugandan musicians perform everywhere all the time hence loss of value.

I also wish to remind my fellow Ugandans that u can’t say no to good music,when supporting us u didn’t do us no favor,u were consuming our good product,to make matters worse not even paying for it.

All tubonga nawe artists need to do is to go back to studio and record good music that’s it.

This post is meant to help u think again coz we are not only ready for the boycott but even to reassure you that we confidently practiced out political right as responsible citizens of uganda,and we still stand strong behind our president Yoweri kaguta Museveni and the NRM ideology.

Cases of domestic violence have been on the rise in Kenya and it’s still puzzling how victims can’t walk out of their relationships when their monster mates turn them to punching bags.

A horrendous case highlighted by Malvina Kiluta on the popular Facebook group, Kilimani Mums Nairobi Uncensored, has chilled Kenyans to the bone.

The screenshot of Malvina’s post has been doing rounds on social media.

“This is a friend flo wambui…finally the guy killed her last nite..” Malvina captioned a photo of her deceased friend whose face gave you a clue of what she had been going through.

Kenyans have been calling for the arrest of Flo Wambui’s killer. The deceased worked at Sizzling Hideout Guesthouse and Nile River Explorers Camp, according to her profile.

It’s not clear what transpired that fateful night but all in all, don’t stay in an abusive relationship. Your life is way too precious to be lost through the hands of people who are very close to you. Flo was a mother, now her kids don’t have a mom!

Last week the country woke up to yet another explosive dossier, that 400 million was apparently missing from the public coffers. This was money belonging to the youth fund stacked away in a savings account meant to uplift the lives of the many Kenyan youth struggling with poverty and unemployment.

K-Nel is known for eye-brow raising songs such as Vera Shindika, Bonga Mavi and Lupita Ninyonge. And in some of this records,-K-Nel has worked with Boston based Producer/Singer & Rapper Ghostboy and African-American singer Jae Rich.

There are just a whole lot mixed reactions regarding this party and this is what I think….just attend Sawa Sawa festival the next weekend. Sawa Sawa festival which is now in its 9^th edition will go down from the 16^th to 19^th March and as usual it promises to bring you all the action. The same will happen on the 17^th but now with all the stakeholders involved in an attempt to push the Arts in the country.

And now here is the fun part, there will be a VIP party going happening on the 18^th which will guarantee everyone goes home a star and I kid you not. Starting at 8 pm, it will be a star studded event with the likes of Amos and Josh, Gloria Muliro, Sarakasi All Trust scheduled to perform. Whether it is in obituaries, or advertising posters and public notices, many individuals have found themselves trending without n idea how or why. This seems to be case of one Lillian Lilly.

The pretty lass found herself over the weekend and today all over being used as the image of what promises to be the most ratchet as well as brazenly lewd party known to the general public in Kenya. The lady wasted no love for the organizers of the project and these were her sentiments.

They separately flew to Las Vegas for different purposes but there are dots which when joined show Diamond and Huddah Monroe met in the Gambling Capital of the World…..No, actually we think they might have been spending quality time together.

Diamond was in USA to perform at The Double Barrel in Las Vegas over the past weekend. Huddah Monroe was also in Sin City for a concert at SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. Their separate gigs were only a stone throw away from each other, along the Las Vegas Strip.

The two could possibly have met and spent quality time together. First thing first, Huddah and Diamond didn’t pose together for us to arrive at the conclusion they were together.
