She’s one of the most dangerously beautiful Kenyan women with a flair,aura and mien of the most aristocratic and sophisticated of women.
Despite having such a ravishing face and delicate smile,with luscious hair crowning her head like the Queen’s daughter,Esther has never been afraid of getting her hands dirty and entangling herself with murk and mud.
Born Esther Muthoni Passaris,this gorgeous piece of wonderment has become some sort of urban legend for the many complex ways she’s interlocked her life with the activities of the heart of Nairobi City.
The 51-year old mother of two,who prefers to refer to herself as a social entrepreneur,philanthropist and politician,has never been afraid of a fight and has never seemed to lose one,however messy or bloody it was.
Tenacious and brutal,Esther has survived many a duels most of which,these days,are played out on Twitter – one of her fondest avenues of venting and barking up the society.
As one of the most recognizable faces in Kenya,and one of the most famous business ladies,Esther is no different in character and temperament from most of Kenya’s most renowned and notorious business ladies,from the late Wambui Otieno to the current Othaya MP Mary Wambui (similarity in names totally uncanny).
But unlike her much older peers who mostly married into money or benefited from old money,Esther is mostly a self-made millionaire whose intransigence and sheer will has made her the name and powerful business force she is today.
Loathed and loved in equal measure and with tons of fervid detractors across social media,Esther has become some sort of legend for her knavish style,bare knuckle abrasiveness,roguery and Machiavellian business tactics.
Long before our usually-brainless City Council got around to lighting up the City – and erecting those ridiculous floodlights across the slums – Esther has already beaten them to it – by launching Adopt-A-Light,the vehicle through which she would become fabulously wealthy and also light up our roads and highways all at the same time.
Adopt-A-Light gave Esther the visibility and notoriety she obviously craved for and through it,she grew even bigger and bigger bagging herself great deals,landing her glorious sexy self many deep pocketed suitors and also finding herself as a viable candidate of elections,first in Embakasi and then across the City.
But like in all high-flying businesses,Adopt-A-Light did have it’s own fair share of drama and awry backlashes.
First,the many lawsuits that made her a perennial city litigant and then,the many unsavory liaisons with potential backers and sponsors of her pet project.
Soon,like all good Kenyan businesses go,Adopt-A-Light would be enmeshed in a Web of corruption and a severe lack of transparency with many accusations and counter-accusations been thrown around the breathtaking business lady.
The former Miss Kenya runners-up would soon enough find herself dating one of Kenya’s most notoriously private billionaires and when Pius Ngugi who owns Thika Coffee Mills and Kenya Nut Company broke off his engagement to her,she SUED him. And WON.
Not the first financial coup that Esther,ever the crafty little serpent,had pulled on her business – and romantic – associates.
On Twitter,Esther has made quite the name for herself for the combative way in which she tackles sensitive topics and mostly,how she takes the war to her detractors,unflinching,unafraid and unshaken.
Like Martha Karua before her,Esther has balls of steel and a heart that’s indestructible,wiling to,time and again,dress up in combat gear and wait for the enemy to attack. Either in Court or on a TV show or on Twitter,Esther has more than enough avenues to square down her battles and whip up a whirling storm.
Slowly but surely,Esther became the female version of the late Jacob Juma – abrasive,flamboyant,excessively wealthy,showy,combatant,irritating and with a penchant for whipping up Twitter wars with her ex-business associates and political foes.
She squared off with Kidero and with Alai and with pretty much every other filthy rich boy in town over a myriad of issues.
And just like Juma,her financial woes continued to deepen with this year alone seeing the dramatic demolition of her prized billboards across the City and also her near-eviction from her Kitisuru property by shadowy figures.
But with a feistiness that has been tried and tested,Esther has weathered many a storm and danced victoriously on many a battlefields.
Loud feminists,banking on their sheer sexuality as a ticket to do whatever they wish,rarely lose.
And now,the City beauty is embroiled in yet another embarrassing war with a man we least expected – Equity Bank CEO,James Mwangi.
Esther accuses the banking legend of sexually harassing her and sabotaging her business. That was like ten years ago or so.
But the girl prefers to petter about it today. Too little. Too late.
But this is Esther we are talking about. A shrewd,cunning little fox who might want to vie for a seat in the upcoming elections.
You can’t beat Esther at scandalizing a situation. Especially if it involves sex,coercion for sex or matters involving the female power and the bullying of the bedroom.
She invented sleaze. And,mark you,the little snake never loses.
