Jackson Onunga’s poster in which he was looking for a wife was widely shared on social media as people were amused by his unconventional strategy.

Since I was also alone, I took time peruse the crowd and here are some of the characters I could pick out:
Mr. I need to find my wife-“Hey have you seen my wife?” That’s the question this Caucasian 50 year old asked me when Taxi Wars stopped performing. And I was like, huh? And the guy held his eye actually expecting me to answer. “And I was like, definitely not in my whiskey”…And that’s when he laughed and laughed and I had no choice but to laugh as well. And when he was done, he told me he was joking and have you seen my wife vibe always works for him as a conversation starter. Then we started talking about the show, TaxiWar’s incredible performance and just how Jazz has revolutionized over they years. In the process though he had to cut me short as he had to actually find the wife, for real this time; apparently she had the car keys and she has a tendency of always taking a hike when liquer is involved… “I wouldn’t be surprised if she tried to seduce Taxi Wars lead singer” he whispered before making a run for the door.

Also expect to find the Jazz lover. This is the guy who attends the event just for the Jazz and nothing else. He doesn’t even sit for a single second throughout the performance and practically sings along to every song. So he sees you walking you in slippers and he stops you asking if you are a venture capitalist (all venture capitalists dress some typa way) looking for the next big thing to place your money on. Before you could even answer, he chucks out his phone and starts showing his latest app which he assures will blow the masses away. The only thing you need to do is invest 3 million with a 25% shareholding and you’re good to go. If only he knew you are just blogger earning a meager 3K every month.
Mr. I need to take you home with me always makes it to Jazz events because why? There’s lot of booze, class and opulence which is perfect remedy to impress his next lay. He’s probably a guy in accounting who is cousins with the PR person for the event. So he secures himself the tickets and tags along his date that he’s looking to take home. After dancing along to some tunes, probably rehearsed, he makes the first step of assuring the lass that he’s indeed leaving it before going on a chemical warfare spree…and most of the time he always scores because there are no losers in Jazz.
Also expect to find Miss all my friends need to recognize who comes through to the event just for the gram…she’s infatuated with snap chat and a Jazz event provides just the right opportunity to harness that. I mean the décor, the people, the music and the opulence clearly define what bad and boujee is all about.
And if you don’t believe me, make your way down to Kasarani Stadium this coming Sunday and see for yourself. In the process also get to sample some great music from the likes of David Sanborn; world renowned saxophonist from the USA will be the headlining performer alongside other great acts.
He might have released just two songs while at Wasafi Records but this does not mean that Rich Mavoko is sleeping on his talent.

On Valentines day he suprised her with an inbuilt walk in closet in their apartment.
A somber mood has engulfed the whole of Kenya and this is after the passing on of Baby Brian.
Now for those of you who don’t know who Baby Brian is, he made headlines a year ago after he and his mother were run over by a speeding motorist along the Ruiru Kiambu road.
The mother died on the spot but Baby Brian survived. He was admitted to Kenyatta hospital for 5 months and discharged.
Around September last year however, Baby Brian was rushed back to hospital by his grandmother after his condition worsened.
This was brought to the attention of Kenyans who in turn raised 2 million to cater for Baby Brian’s medical bills.
After that the story of Brian died down with only constant photos of him being admitted at Gertrude being shared on Facebook.

Yesterday however, the family spokesperson Ndung’u Nyoro came forth with bad news, Baby Brian aka Champ Brian has finally succumbed to brain damage.

Trymore Chibwe’s life took a different turn when he hooked up with a married sugar mummy in 2012 while he was still in class six.

Actress Wolper Stylish has finally opened up as to why she broke up with Wasafi’s Harmonize.
While speaking to global publishers, Wolper Stylish revealed that Harmonize’s lack of respect and appreciation was the sole reason why the two broke up.

A sombre mood engulfed Nyeri residents today after it emerged that their governor Nderitu Gachagua had passed on.

Bahati, Jaguar, Akothee etc all caused a stir when photos of their wedding surfaced online but later it turned out they were just shooting videos for their songs.

Sometimes in July 2015, CNN referred Kenya as a hotbed of terror and KOT exploded in fury, #SomeoneTellCNN made the American news channel to apologize for their insensitive remarks.
Then on February 5, 2017 Fox studios made another terrible blunder, they used actual CCTV footage of the 2013 terror attack at Westgate Mall in their new series 24:Legacy.
KOT once again sprung to action using hashtag #SomeoneTellFox to make the American producers apologize for their insensitive action.

Fox studios have confirmed that the footage they used was from the attack at Westgate Mall in Nairobi and said that the producers regret using it to depict a fictional act of terror on the show.
“In episode 4 of 24: Legacy we regretfully included news footage of an attack in Nairobi. It will be removed from all future broadcasts and versions of the show. We apologize for any pain caused to the victims and their families and are deeply sorry,” Executive producers Evan Katz and Manny Coto said in statement.
Michelle Yola’s health suddenly deteriorated overnight; she was checked into hospital early morning February 24th.
It’s not clear what’s ailing Prezzo’s ex girlfriend, Yola disclosed that she woke up in the morning and her whole body couldn’t move.
She shared a photo of herself at a hospital as she revealed that she was being admitted.

Big Ted who is populary known for his big body hence the name and voice is among the celebrities weighing a bit too much. He is proud of his body but due to health reasons he turned to gastric bypass surgery to cut off the weight in a healthier way.

By the time he decided to undergo this process he was 256 kgs and his main goal was to get to 90 KG which seemed impossible at the time. However after going through the surgery the MC says that he has lost about 4 kgs in just a week.
The process is helping and judging from a video where he revealed his plans to get the surgery, Big Ted is heard describing himself as a big boy who weighed 256 Kgs and is 6’4 tall…(I would probably look like an ant if I stood beside him)
I have just undergone a gastric bypass surgery in a hospital in India. A few months ago, I met this doctor who came to Kenya and we started talking about various things. But one of the things that caught me was the issue that I’ve been trying to take care of for a very long time, which is managing my weight. I am a big boy. I’m six foot four and I was 256kgs. I underwent a procedure which has helped me loose 5kgs in 4 days.
He is now hoping that he will achieve his desired weight soon through living a healthy lifestyle, soemthing that most people find hard to do. Anyway, we wish him all the best.
My ideal weight is 90 kgs and I’m working towards the 90 kgs through healthy living, healthy lifestyle, a very well calculated and thought process of what I’m consuming. I am on the way to being a healthy guy.

Anyway, she seems to have taken the negative comments and turned them into something positive as she now has a song that carries a thankful message.
During a recent interview the lass revealed that the new song MAPOCHOPOCHO is a name she uses to describe God’s blessings in her life.

Kenyan Celebrities and Media personalities were recently treated to a fete at the Tune Hotel Skybar as Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) launched a capability training programme dubbed The Diageo Master Bar Academy (MBA), whose aim is to sharpen the bartending skills of over 10,000 Bartenders in the country. The training will begin this week and at no-cost to participants.
This comes at a time Kenya is transforming as the preferred destination for business and leisure, Hotel owners are increasingly scouting for bartenders with ingrained professionalism, and efficiency in delivering quality service.
Speaking at the launch, Commercial Planning Manager, Sarah Wanasakaami said, “The core aim of MBA is to raise the bar, behind the bar. Customers are increasingly demanding of unique services and products. This can be achieved if we help Bartenders to upscale their skills behind the bar.This academy is therefore bringing practical knowledge to Kenyan bartenders, who want to better themselves in their careers, inspiring them to take their jobs as bartenders as valid career options.”
Ms Wanasakaami added that “It’s great that we’re giving back to the communities that we work in and watching Bartenders develop their careers here in Kenya.”
To date the Master Bartender programme has trained over 37,000 bartenders in Kenya. Each bartender is enrolled in a three month syllabus consisting of three modules. In the first module (MBA 101), bartenders are required to attend a one day training workshop where they learn about customer service, the art of bartending, tools of the trade, bartender secrets, drink categories, spirit production, brand knowledge, perfect serves, counterfeit spotting, up selling and importantly responsible serving.
Once bartenders leave the training they progress to a self-learning module (MBA 202) which is accessed via their mobile phones on a mobi site. This consists of 8 modules, each module contains 10 questions.
The top 25 highest scoring bartenders, who complete all 8 modules, will be invited to attend a one day cocktail master class (MBA 303). At MBA 303, the bartenders are immersed in creative cocktail skills and are thereafter, tested.
The top 5 winners of the MBA 303 in the different regions in Kenya will win 1000 dollars and will get an opportunity to participate in the Kenyan Chapter of the World Class Competition – a Diageo Global platform that significantly raises Bartenders’ profiles globally through developing the cocktail craft.
