Kenzo Eulogizes His Late Mum

There is one person in the whole world who will love you no matter how ridiculously silly you are. There is also one person in the whole world who will tell you that your antics are ridiculously silly. That person is also the one who will help make that silly thing right. That person is a mother. Nobody – I mean, NOBODY- will ever love you like your mum.

It’s in the light of this that Ogopa Deejays’ Kenzo eulogized his late mum recently in an emotional poem. Take a look;

TO MY MUM
Mom, from the time I was really young,
I realized I had someone…you,
who always cared,
who always protected me,
who was always there for me no matter what.
You taught me right from wrong,
and pushed me to do the right thing,
even when it was hard to do.
You took care of me when I was sick,
and your love helped make me well.
You had rules,
and I learned that when I obeyed them,
my life was simpler, better, richer.
You were and are
the guiding light of my life.
My heart is filled with love for you,
my teacher, my friend, my mother.
I LOVE YOU MUM

Beyonce Denies Illuminati

Clearly we are not gonna see the end of this Illuminati vibe anytime soon, will we? From the numerous calls and text we receive from guys asking us to help them join the alleged ancient secret society that is always associated with massive wealth.

Anyway, Mombasa-based promoter, model, event organiser, Coast Music Awards pioneer and businesswoman, Julia Achieng better known as Beyonce, has refuted claims that she is an active member of the Illuminati.

Rumours about her association with the secretive society have been doing rounds especially on the social media. The claims were further fortified after she was spotted with a piercing on her tongue.

Beyonce (C), Eric Omondi & a friend

Tongue-piercing is a sign highly associated with members of the occult. “I am not shocked about the stories doing rounds. They have been said for long. Even when my room got burnt down, when I survived the fatal road accident two years ago and now piercing my tongue. I pierced my tongue just for fashion and as a mark of remembering the days when I got hurt. I was raised up in a good Christian family and I don’t know anything about Illuminati,” she told Word Is.

Beyonce’s source of finances has been in doubt owing to the fact that, as quipped by a source, “she usually operates a moderate hair saloon at Summerlink Building on Mombasa’s Meru Road.”

Open Letter To The Kameme Radio Presenter Accused Of Tribal Language Against Luos!

I received this email from a concerned Kenyan and I felt compelled to share it because it touched a cord in my heart. I won’t edit it. The letter is in response to this article. Go through it and enjoy:

“Does my name really matter  here, I truly don’t think so but if you so curious then here you go. They call me Stewart ask yourself why am using my Caucasian names and not my family name it’s not that am a coward, oops!! Nope, that’s not me and am not of that type, am a gal who walks her head on high and doesn’t take crap as jokes and instead I take and value respects very much. People who respect themselves, others their everything turn out to be my best pals. My motto has been HATE ME OR LOVE ME WHICH EVER WAY I DON’T CARE BUT THE FACT REMAINS I DESERVE RESPECT.  I do respect others despite their Religion, Tribes, Traditions and everything and I do that I may  earn the respect back. Am one angry Kenya lady who feels that enough is enough of all this childish behavior between this two Kenyan Tribes Kikuyus and Luos. This first goes to our leaders who are the source of this whole crap and mind u leaders don’t have to be the big people in our government, nay, a leader is anyonewho influences a group of people in the society towards the achievement of a goal.  So you can be a leader too in one way or the other. I was so embarrassed to see a Kikuyu presenter posting hate speech on Facebook towards the Luos that’s so sick of you Gentleman. I thought you should be the salt to our country. I thought you should be on air preaching of loving one another and letting bygones be bygones. I thought you are a youth like me, who we can share ideas of businesses like transporting fish from Kisumu to Nyeri or transporting maize and beans from Nyandarua to Kisumu. I thought you are a role model to the Y-Generation but poor me I was mistaken. I don’t mean to be uncouth or harsh but allow me ask some few quiz’s , How was you hired and which criteria was used to hire you because as a journalist you are at wrong place, doing the wrong thing  at the wrong time in short you are lost. Starting with our leaders in the parliament down to the village elders its time you all come together and talk to your people. The BIBLE says LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS CHRIST LOVED THE CHURCH. My heart aches when you read newspapers online and find some comments below , u find WAKIKUYU NI WEZI KENYATTA ALIIBA SHAMBA YA BABU YANGU, in the first place was you there? The shut up, secondly that was your grandpas property not yours so shut up for the second time, and then did your grandpa ever told u he needed you like his or her lawyer then shut up GOD will deal with them in heaven. Whatever things one does here on earth they will be accountable for in HEAVEN. Next comment, it’s one of those comments you don’t want to see WAJALUO WANAOMBANGA OMIERI/OMWERI WAJALUO HAWAJATAE, shut up and be a men or a lady, did he show you that he is not yet circumcised then y is it bothering you, is it your business whether someone amekatwa ama la ? Kama hali vya kwako shida ni nini. Luos and Kikuyus its time you let each tribe be and stop being low life people. So sad that this characters are all over internet, a very learned kikuyu man or a very learned luo man posting hate speech towards each other this is so naïve. My mother once told me it’s better to be wise than to have all the wealth, knowledge and riches of this world and have a low IQ. I love Luos so am sure that gives you a hint what I am coz am sure that’s still lingering in your mind Ndi Mugikuyu (I am a kiuk) but that’s not necessary, so Am a Kenyan by blood and origin. For how long will we hold on grudges ? For how long will we keep insulting each other ? When will we ever learn to respect each other with their everything ? Why don’t we lay everything at the foot of HIS cross. JESUS never appointed anyone here on earth to help HIS FATHER  in judging and condemning instead HE said ACCEPT ONE ANOTHER AS MY FATHER HAS ACCEPTED ME. No tribe is so special than the other we are all Kenyans. If one tribe feels there more special then they are in the wrong soil and they should vacate with their everything to somewhere in Pluto. LUOS AND KIKUYUS get this in your heads that we all belong to one GOD and its time we grow up and behave. We are all Kenyans come what may even if you move to whichever continent you are still my brother and sister from another mother. May the GOD who gives wisdom give it to us (LUOS AND KIKUYUS). MUNGU AWABARIKI NA AWAPE HEKMA..ONE LOVE TO YOU ALL SWEET KIKUYUS AND SWEET LUOS.”

Will Kenya Ever Have A Bad Girl Worthy Of The Title?

I have always wondered to myself why Kenya doesn’t have a bad girl worth the moniker. They all seem to start off as worthy of the name but somewhere along the line they chicken out and change their image.

And don’t get me wrong, there is a huge difference between bad girl and trashy. Aaliyah was a bad girl. so was Left Eye. Rihanna is trashy. Never get it twisted!

When Avril started out, she chose the bad girl path and was good at it. she played the role so well that I was shocked when she begun to shed that skin. She somehow just flat out got scared of her brand and her rebranding was somewhat helter skelter. Size 8 followed next and then she found our Lord.

There has been no one willing to take advantage of the bad girl image. Kenya doesn’t seem to have her own Cecile. The lass who keeps the lads tantalized with her sex appeal and because they get none, they keep anticipating it.

Kenyan female artists seem to scared of that brand. On the other hand, the lads embrace it. Shaffie Weru did the whole Bad Boy image and it worked wonders for his brand. Shappaman is doing the same. And aslong as he keeps making good music, he will succeed.

Come on ladies, why are you all too scared to take this particular bull by the horns? In entertainment, as far as I’m concerned, the women are boring! One female needs to shake up Kenya’s sensibilities. stop portraying yourselves like damsels in distress. That has gotten old!

With that said and done read about how Avril became a wanted criminal here. She even went as far as posing nvde for an Italian magazine. Check out the photos here.

In case you didn’t know, Demarco, the guy who sang ‘Dutty Wine’ aka ‘ the Kude Kude song’ is coming to Kenya. The event is organised by VarCity.

East Africa’s Wealthiest Artist Wears a Space Suit to His Concert, Nearly Suffocates

In trying to appeal to their fans, artists sometimes try to outdo themselves just to make a statement. East Africa’s richest artist, Jose Chameleone thought wearing a nearly $13,000 NASA-approved space suit, during his concert late last month, would be a great idea.

He was wrong.

Rather than “make history” for his top-of-the-line $12,700 astronaut wear, Chameleone’s story took a different turn when he almost suffocated inside the costume. The suit ended up being a walking death trap– which he found out during the set.

Not long after hitting the stage, Chameleone couldn’t breathe inside the headpiece because there was no oxygen pumping through it (which is a necessity). Once he freed his dome, the Ugandan rhymer ran into another problem: he couldn’t really move.

Defeated, Chameleone decided to pull the plug on the operation but forgot the instructions on how to remove the suit. He nearly suffocated as the heat inside the suit began to rise.

No word on how he managed to escape, but according to a report from the concert, he was able to rock the crowd well past midnight.

GHAFLA POLL: Who is Kenya’s Best Video Director?

Yesterday I did a piece on Ghafla in which I stated the video directors i felt were really good… Nay, that would be an insult to them. These video directors are Kenya’s best so far this year. And that piece generated alot of debate both in and out of the office and Ghafla.

And what an emotive debate it was! So now i’ve decided to give you our readers an avenue to let themselves be heard. And they will be heard! By voting. With that said, let’s get down to your choices:

a) Thome (Boomba videos)

b) Enos Olik

c) A. Macharia

d) Kevin Bosco Jnr

Ever Wanted To Be An Actor/Actress? Here’s How

I hope this article finally answers the numerous calls, texts and mails that we receive daily about guys asking how to they can become thespians. Here are great tips on how you can make it into the theatre world.

Now, if you have the passion and drive and the calling to act, here are a 10 tips that will help you to kick start your acting career or at least I hope they will.

1. Kenya National Theatre

Yes, find a busy actor who has no time to answer your many nagging questions about how to start acting and they will tell you KNT. If we were in America, KNT would be our Hollywood. Most established actors have their roots coming from KNT. KNT is the place where, like someone once said, “it is the place every actor should go and sign in at least once a week.” Meet like minded actors to share stories with. Get to learn of the different theatre groups and join one. Get to know of Auditions and much much more. KNT is always a good place to start. Now, I must admit, you do not necessarily have to go and sit there and hope God will show you a sign to where you need to head to. For those outside Nairobi, I am sure you have your own little theatres that are active and if not, you need to revive them. All in all, take part in local theatre for starters, it will open doors for you apart from you making acting something natural for you.

2. Acting Classes

Optional for those who know they can act and have been given the go ahead by the many producers who have put them on their shows. Also optional for those who started acting early so they know the tricks and drama to it. Then again, knowing how to drive a car will still require you to get certified as a driver. And like with any other profession, you must go to school to be a professional at what you do. You might want to read this article called should one attend acting classes to help you decide whether you are one to attend acting classes or not. Unfortunately, if you feel you must attend a class, there are not many acting schools in Kenya. If you do a google search, Kenyatta and Moi University appear in the top search results. These institutions actually offer courses in the arts and social sciences. I do not however see any acting class and maybe someone who goes to school there can fill us in or alternatively, that is your home work. I do know of Neil Schell who has been hosting a couple of acting classes and you should look out for one of his acting sessions and I have heard he is a really good coach. Perhaps we need a dedicated acting school for that. Those outside Nairobi, you can always contact someone who you know is a good actor to come coach you. At times all is required is for someone to ask for something in order to get it. Sitting in your comfort zone and whining is never a solution. Besides, get a good acting class and you will get to know much more apart from just cramming lines and saying them but also how to define your roles and which character best suits you.

3. Auditions

No way around them. You have to attend as many auditions as possible. That is the only way to get acting jobs. Good thing, we now have actors.co.ke trying to share the new on when auditions take place. However, read the article called why auditions are a hidden agenda to find out why less and less production houses are holding public auditions. At the same time, humans being humans, might know of auditions but will not fill you in. Perhaps it is just the competitive nature of the industry or just sheer stinginess. All the same, you have to go for auditions and mark you; you might end up hearing of them on the same day they are being held. This then means, you have to drop everything in order for you to attend them. But hey, I never promised kick starting your acting career would be easy, did I now?

4. Casting Agents

Good luck getting a good casting agent and please watch out for my next article on this matter. But getting a good casting agent is also a vital component to kick starting your career. You should get a casting agent to help you get acting gigs and market for you.

5. Market yourself

Simply put, put yourself out there. Let people know that you exist. Remember me saying that view acting like a business? Yes, you and yourself and thyself are a business. Treat and Carry yourself as one. Businesses need advertisement and marketing in order to be known. You too should do that. It is the main reason behind actors.co.ke. The site is meant for actors to market themselves. Truth be told, actors are not as highly regarded or appreciated as much . You will not be called for a concert to go perform like musicians do. You might however, get called for a special audition behind closed doors to try out a role because some producer has seen your actors.co.ke profile and because you went and shared it on his facebook wall. The profiles you are creating on actors.co.ke are not for aesthetic value but for your advertisements and marketing sake. Marketing does not only mean creating your profile of course, it can also mean, you and a couple others going out of your way to do your own show and putting it up on you tube for people to see. Musicians have demo CDs that they 1st have to give to a producer in order for the later to judge how good or bad that musician is. Why can’t you do the same? Do not sit and wait till you appear on TV, do something by yourself. This point leads me to my next one.

6. Network

Also known as Kujuana. We may hide it or deny it but most people are actually getting jobs through nepotism. There is a phrase that says “It is who you know and who he/she knows that will determine whether you make it in life. ”Personally,I think it is a load of BS. Unfortunately, whilst I am having my own personal opinions, Kamau is using his God given personality, character and charisma to chat with the director of that hot show you see on TV. He is sending friend requests to all the directors and producers around. He is going for auditions and taking telephone numbers of other auditionees and keeping tabs on when the next audition will be. Kamau is then seen on 2 or 3 shows on different stations on TV and the other actors who were never taken for any show are hating kamau and acting at large. People complain of seeing the same faces on TV or how unfair is this or crying foul in general. Whether Kamau is a good actor or not is beside the point. The point is kamau is getting ahead of you by simply getting to know people. Networking does not mean you start philandering around though.

7. Invest.

Like any other business, you need to invest in your acting career too. Invest your time in going for auditions, marketing yourself, networking etc. Invest your money in doing your own small acting project. In keeping yourself healthy because you body is your tool of trade. If you are fat!.Sorry Big! Do not expect to be given a role that requires a skinny (sorry, small person). For example, I seem to be getting roles for a lawyer/prosecutor all the time I have gone for auditions. Because I am big ( I know you want to say fat) yet I feel I can also do good as a comedian for example. So my body type judges what role I can get. If I want to be the next Simiyu Samurai, I probably need to go the gym, shed of a few kilos and learn karate.Invest in knowledge, read and research. Upload your videos on youtube for the world to see. Which leads to my next point.

8. Get an extra Skill

With every Mary, Anne and Wambui thinking they can act, the competition is getting stiffer. So how about you acquire an extra skill that will separate you from the pack. Learn karate and get taken for the karate kid Kenyan version. Learn to play an instrument. Learn how to drive for the roles that require you to do so. Bottom line is, you need to get an extra skill that will put you before the others.

9. Make a resume

You surely do not go for interviews without your CV do you? So why should you go for an audition without your acting resume? If you do not have one, actors.co.ke is doing exactly that. Helping you create your online resume and at the same time giving you the chance to market yourself. Plus network by participating in our forums. So make use of this free tool.

10. Do not give up and dream big

Last but not least. It is not easy doing this. Then again, if you are pessimist and have gone for 2 or 3 auditions, did not get the role and you want to give up, then sorry, I cannot help you on that. Sure, some are lucky enough to get acting jobs faster than others but maybe they are doing one or two things in this list right. Either way, the good thing about this profession is that no one forces you to sit behind a desk and monitors you. Reason being, it is your passion and destiny. If it really is, you know very well, you cannot give up on it. Whatever reason has led you to start acting; you need to keep at it till you make it. Last but not least, dream big my fellow thespians!

Shee Waruinge Gets A ‘Knight In Shining Armour’ To Defend Her Honour!

So this blogger Y character has been on a red-bull roll, insulting all and sundry on twitterville in the name of scoring points with wights. I guess mantrums do get you points, and followers.

First off, he ‘released’ a list of the ugliest tweeps on twitter. That article made Brian Mbunde trend, something that is a regular occurence I’m gathering. Then he went on to release a supposed expose about Shee Waruinge. Yes, he went on and on about how she tried to use her feminine wiles on him to no avail blah blah blah. Enyewe hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Someone by the name Nico finally decided he’s had enough of Blogger Y’s claptrap and decided to call him up on this. Who knew Shee had people out to ‘redeem’ her from the ‘haters’ out to cast aspersions on her character! This latest blog has been trending but seeing as I’ve been off social media for a while, I did not catch wind wind of it until this morning. Well, what sumptuous fodder it makes for banter! Nico, I’m guessing you know blogger Y will come after you with guns blazing.

Read that blogpost by Nico below:

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, with all due respect to #BloggerY, whoever he is, he is an emotionally injured guy besmirching the respectable art of blogging. #BloggerY please don’t take this personal but we are not idiots. Great women did not struggle carrying us in their wombs for nine months plus labour so that we could feed on your shit… No!!!

You want facts?? Screenshots?? I’ll use yours and make it fair. You claimed to have slept with a girl going by the handle @Ranceville? Anyway it was by your own admission on your own blog post where you wrote these words,”I am that man who did c*m on your stretch mark invested b**bs and said Rub that ointment bitch…” Later you imply to her ‘ushamba’ by saying this… ” stop wearing Reeboks and yellow socks to church. You are 21 not 71.”

My question is, did she become a ‘mshamba’ after you slept with her or do you just go after the ‘mshamba’ because it was easier for you to get laid and trash her just like that then come here and make us believe she is a wh*re and you aren’t? Considering how hard you try to sound classy, others will agree with me that is the most blatant public display of idiocy they’ve seen in a while.

I don’t know most of your blog’s victims, I’ve never met them and I never want to. Whether wh*res or pimps they seem to have some sort of a life and just thinking of it, they don’t seem to care what dirt you have on them. What about you? Are you f*cking the village or is the village f*cking you up??

That aside, why would you insult an innocent baby just because the mother doesn’t please you? I mean, maybe the mother is an asshole as you claim but really?? Did the baby also try to bed you? ‘Rape’ your facebook inbox or something? I don’t know but…

image

Remember them?? When you call that little innocent baby on that picture a ‘frog looking like creature’, we can only wait long enough to see the fruit of your loins. We only pray that you don’t bring forth worse than what you just called that baby.

Your beef with all these celebrities, all of whom some of us didn’t know about prior to your rant is just crazy. Looking at facts, these guys are living a life no matter who they f*ck. I can only point you to a reminder of why lanes are so important in this life. Ideos lane isn’t as bad as you want to make it seem.

The blog you did about a certain Sheeroh was crazy, I admit, I fell off my seat laughing but when the shit is too funny, read through it again and laugh harder. It wasn’t the case though. Whoever Sheeroh is, God forgive her ‘closed door’ activities as we were made to believe but reading through that blog again, the discrepancies are amazing. Let the people look at this sequence and decide if you are to be trusted…

Guy wrote that Sheeroh inboxed him when she realised that he was going to expose her and their conversation was this…

image

That conversation was dated 22nd February as seen and according to it, our friend wanted a night with the girl he was later insulting in his article. I call that entertainment but wait… He then says that he disappeared on the her until she ‘raped’ his inbox several months later with these messages…

image

Well, one part I enjoyed is that, several months after their initial chat on 22nd February, the date was still 22nd February. I just don’t get it.

#BloggerY, please, you are way better than that. Next time your flirting expeditions go wrong, you will be pleased to know that #KOT just don’t give a shit.

By the way, you fed us with plenty of ‘WhatsApp’ screenshots to prove your point on who is f*cking who, who you believe has long ears, frustrum shaped heads, who you believe has ‘mpango wa kando’, who has AIDS, herpes etc. In the eyes of any human being with a beating heart, all that is nonsense.

Your friends calling someone a wh*re on ‘WhatsApp’ doesn’t build a case that they are. In fact, it is nothing more than hear say and if indeed they are, we just don’t care and if who is f*cking who really mattered to us, I guess we would all enjoy group s*x on twitter and make your work easier because at the moment, you are hiding from your own little demons and your fear of rejection is so big it clouds your thinking. Here is the reality, just because you are selling doesn’t mean everyone is buying.

You #BloggerY are a talented writer, none of us can take that away from you but please, more sense won’t harm you. Get off people’s s*x lanes and inspire the world with your briliance. Love or hate me, we only live once, don’t live your life peeping through people’s bedroom windows.

Anyway, don’t mind me, am just thinking out loud, until we meet, which probably will never happen.

What do you think about it? Hit or miss?

Julie Gichuru Opens Up About Her Unanswered Prayers

As religious people we should not always expect to get everything we want when we ask from God. According to the Bible, God often answers prayer in the following ways, “Yes, you may have it”; “No, that is not good for you”; “Wait, I have something better for you”; and “My grace is sufficient for you”. And Citizen TV’s Julie Gichuru can attest to that.

When I was a little girl I would pray fervently, as I still do today. As early as I can recall (and I have some pretty early memories going as far back as 3 years of age) I loved God deeply… And I knew he loved me too.

I grew up a Catholic and my family worshipped at Holy Family Basilica, smack in the middle of the Nairobi CBD. I was in awe of the Church and loved Sunday service. But every Sunday I would watch and then pray, even more fervently, about two particular things…

First, I would pray,”Dear Lord, please never, ever, ever let me breastfeed in public!”  Of course as a
young girl I would see mothers in and around the Church who were breastfeeding and at that self-conscious age I thought it was quite humiliating!

The second thing I would pray about was based on something a beloved Nun at my school Loreto Convent Msongari told us… “The Lord may call you to serve Him so be ready to heed His call.” I thought that meant he would call us to be Nuns. I really, really didn’t want to be a Nun so I would pray, “Please, please Lord don’t choose me. There are so many other amazing people, please choose one of them!”

But they say the Lord laughs as we make our plans… He must have laughed heartily at my passionate, naive prayers.

When I had my first child close to twelve years ago, all protocol was out the window immediately. My priority was feeding my child.  While in public I would try to be subtle and graceful about it, but I really did not care where I was or who was in the vicinity if I needed to feed my hungry child.

I would just go ahead and do it. And I must say the experience of breastfeeding and bonding with all my children has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

1. Prayer number one not answered and I am the better for it.

On to prayer number two. All my life I have read the Bible with a thirst for knowledge and understanding. All my life I have sought to understand the will of God and to please Him. When I was that young girl trying to avoid the work of service, I did not realize that the blessed seed was already planted in me and that we can serve Him in every aspect of our lives at every moment. I did not have to become a nun to be called. I am honored each and every day to serve and worship our Lord.

2. Prayer number two not answered and I am the better for it.
You may be praying for something with all the passion and conviction in the world, believing that it is right for you, but He knows better.

Sometimes we just need to say,

“Lord, today I leave all matters in your great hands.
You will determine my path.
For you alone are God and I have absolute faith that you only want the best for me.”

Amen

This is How League of Kings Pool Challenge Went Down

EABL through its Pilsner brand recently hosted the Pilsner League of Kings Pool Challenge grand finale at the Klubhouse Entertainment Complex which was headlined by rappers DNA, Abbas and DNG.

25 year old Nakuru-born businessman Martin Mwangi was crowned champion in the grand finale. On the wheels of steel were DJ Ricky and Nelly since this particular tournament combined pool and music, replicating the brands involvement with its youthful fans with platforms that include Pilsner DJ Mfalme, a disco jockey talent search and King of Bold musical tour.

Here’s how it went down;

Photo of the Day: Dennis Itumbi Now Hanging In the ‘Corridors of Power’

Dennis Itumbi has come a long way both as a blogger and journalist. But now all the “sufferation” days are a thing of the past. Itumbi was recently spotted hanging out in State House, in fact he was walking right behind the President.

His close relationship with President Uhuru might be what has elevated his status. I guess Itumbi must be singing along to Drake’s “Started from the bottom”.

Find ot what Itumbi has been up to most recently HERE.

Open Letter to ‘Otonglo’ Narrator

I would not want to attenuate the wise words in this letter. Here it is, read and learn;

Greetings Star!

I have been silently and admirably watching your star rise every single day! Boy,ARE YOU A STAR! You have captured crowds, swept away the President, hyptonized the nation and sent the First Lady falling over with laughter!

You are a rare gem. A beautiful discovery. And a vivacious rock star in the making! You have the talent, the charisma, the gait, the aura and the X factor! Owira,You are quite something!

But Owira,Did You watch HOME ALONE? Then You must know the main actor MACAULY CULKIN. Macaulay was a child/teen star just like You! He swept America away, landed numerous t.v jobs, went to a thousand interviews and was ranked as the 2nd Greatest Teen Actor in America! Also,Macauly used to command a good $10 million for a movie role.

His movie HOME ALONE was a huge, huge success! Everyone wanted him! Everyone rushed to be associated with him! Including the King of Pop,Michael Jackson…who not only became his bestfriend but also asked him to move in with him! Yes,Macauly was such a teen star!

But Hey,In the mid 90’s,his parents broke up and started fighting for him. His dad wanted to manage him. And his mom too. They started fighting for him; and his money and power.

People started using him and dumping him. He was in a mess. He tried doing other movies and they were a shameful flop. And in 1994,Macauly quit acting!

And from there,Macauly started doing drugs; marijuana, cocaine and Xanax. He couldnt get jobs anymore. Or even interviews. The media avoided him. And his friends too, including Michael Jackson.

He became a mess. Did cheap, crappy movies, slept in jails and was ultimately forgotten by America! Yes,the boy who was once the MOST LOVED AMERICAN teen actor was now just a cheap, jobless dirty addict! Macauly’s star was DEAD! Dead! Dead!

Owira,

I want You to read the stories of other teen stars and see how it ended up: from Daniella Westbrook to Shirley Temple to Britney Spears to Amy Winehouse. Read their stories ,Owira!

Owira,

The problem with any kind f fame is that one you biuld it,You MUST maintain it! The requirements of fame are costly! As your influence grows,be aware of the temptations of fame!

Owira, once fame hooks you with its seductive claws,it begins to sink its teeth in You! Slowly,it takes over until You are no longer yourself!

Owira,You will meet greedy people. Mercenary people. They DONT WANT YOU. They JUST WANT TO USE YOU. Use your sudden fame and status.

Be careful. Temptations will come. People will fight over You. Over your money. And fame!

Watch Out! Fame is a hungry demon! Read Your books, boy! Read those books!

Do NOT be carried away by the fame. And by the people around You. Stand Your ground. Focus on Your education. Put school first. Always.

Be firm. Say NO to the seduction of quick money and fame. Go slow. Watch out. Be sober and take it slow.

Relay,Boy. Relax.

DO NOT RUSH TO BE A STAR. Everythng happens at its own time. Trust Me. Be patient.

And above all,

NEVER LET MUMMY DOWN. Never ever!

All the Best,Mr Daniel Owira.

State House Refutes 4Billion Facelift Claims by ‘The Star’

Today, ‘The Star’ newspaper carried the story that State House is set to undergo a 4 billion-shilling facelift. However, State House has countered the claims terming them “an imagination”.

“4 Billion for state house face lift” an imagination of the Star newspaper May 7, 2013 PPS

We refer to inaccurate reports appearing on page 2 of todays “Star” newspaper headlined “State house set for Ksh 4 billion facelift”. The reports are malicious and are intended to create an impression that the State House of President Uhuru Kenyatta is insensitive to public
spending.

The truth is that the proposed recurrent and development expenditure for the seven state houses and lodges located across the country as captured in the 2013/2014 estimates is Ksh 1.8 billion. Out of this, the
repairs, routine maintenance and facelift have been allocated only Ksh. 300 million.

The budget estimates are a public document that are open to public scrutiny and should be accurately interpreted to avoid creating wrong impressions, especially at a time of increased expenditure demands
by both the county and central governments.

Have You Seen Octopizzo’s Ferrari? (Photos)

It seems music is finally paying off for a section of Kenyan artists. After seeing Jaguar’s newly acquired machines, a convertible Bentley and an aircraft, then Prezzo’s Chrysler Crossfire, Kibera’s finest rapper Octopizzo has also now joined that ‘league’.

I can exclusively report that Octopizzo is a proud owner of a 1949 Ferrari 166 Inter Coupe. Octopizzo is even seen with the vintage car in his latest video, “Stay So Fly”. No, the car was not just used for the shoot, Octo owns it.

Asked how much he acquired it for, Octopizzo was reluctant to quote a figure only mentioning that his budget on the car was eight figures.

Keep it here for more photos of the car.

Caroline Mutoko Dragged Into The Late Mutula Kilonzo’s Death Mystery. Find Out The Real Truth Here!

There have been some nasty rumours doing the rounds thanks to a blogger called Kahawa Tungu who has been claiming that Caroline Mutoko is somehow involved in the mystery surrounding the death of Mutula Kilonzo.

And this is from the lad who was arguing with Mista Majani a.k.a Baba Ghafla claiming he is factual… Pffft! Anyway, the blogger has disseminated the rumours and they are well halfway round the world before the truth begins strapping up it’s shoe. And in this case the truth is Ghafla!

I contacted Caroline Mutoko. The lady wants to take the high road. She will not speak about the matter seeing as she has engaged the necessary instruments of the law to seek justice.

However, I will say this, she was at MP Shah on the material day with her friend and colleague Carol Radull whose father was ill. With that said, Kahawa, let Uncle Chim Tuna serve you some real coffee:

Stop tarnishing people’s names for the sake of hits. I know you are in a rush to be as big as Ghafla! but slow down son. Caution isn’t cowardice. It’s wisdom. Take your time to get facts. That way, you will one day grow-up to be the man you admire; me. I may be vocal like all other Ndi Igbo but I get my facts straight and when I’m wrong I apologize.

For the rest of you keep it Ghafla! for the real story as it unfolds!

KTN’s top investigative journalist Mohammed Ali has been on his grind most recently releasing expose after expose unearthing some of the best kept mysteries.

After showing the public how a former grave-thief turned pastor used to rob from the dead, Mohammed did yet another piece about the youngest gangster who engaged cops in a fierce shoot-out that lasted 4 hours. He’s now back with his latest expose, “Jaramandia la uhalifu episode 3”.

In this episode, Mohammed follows the route travelled by Bernard Mathiri Thuo AKA Rasta before being gunned down by police at his rural home. Here’s the video;

These Are Kenya’s Top 5 Hottest Video Directors! No Arguing With This List!

Uncle Chim has come up with a list of the hottest video directors out in Kenya right now and you should know better than to argue. Why? Because nibling there is a meaning to the kissing of the ring and peasants never mingle with the king!

I have this list down to a science and you should simply acknowledge that. but if you are foolhardy enough to argue with me, do so in the comment section. As always, Uncle Chim Tuna invites your dissent.

But away from that, alllow me to tell you my top 5 list of the hottest video directors out right now whom I feel are even better then Clarence Peters -e be no wayo your eyes na play you, you read am right! Better than Clarence Peters-o!

#5. Brian Msafiri

I know you probably know him from XYZee but have you heard “Beautiful Girl”by Pozi Mwangi? Check out the video and tell me what you think about it.

#4. Thome (Boomba Videos)

This lad is good. He has been doing his thing for most of the Boomba Clan videos and recently Jay A’s. And to be honest I have witnessed growth.

#3. Enos Olik

All hype aside, this lad is good. He does most of the videos for artists signed to MTech and Taurus and that is why they are all exquisite. He keeps his work simple but as my mummy says, “perfection is only found in simlicity.” She’s wise like that.

#2. A. Macharia

I honestly wanted to put him in the number one slot but everyone in the office was up in arms. And some good objections were raised; he hasn’t done as many songs as the guy that sits on the throne. All I can say is watch Jaguar’s Kipepeo and tell me what you think of his work there. And an interesting tidbit: he has shot a video for Young Jeezy!

#1. J. Blessings

Every video he has worked on has been too much niceness! His camera’s are good, the angles great and he is such a humble lad! I watched him work and his attention to detail was awe inspiring for control freaks such as myself. I watched him work on Rabbit a.k.a Kaka Sungura’s “Adisia” and look how that turned out!

My apologies for not posting their individual video projects, net has been a headache. With that said I will put them up ASAP!

Kris Eeh Baba in a Hot New Video

Consistency is the secret in the music industry and Gospel rapper Kris Eeh Baba knows that too well. Kris has been releasing hit after hit that appeals to all his fans, the reason his music has somehow always been around.

Well, the young Gospel rapper was featured by super-producer Majic Mike in another remarkable video released recently. Titled, “I am Free”, the songs testifies about God’s blessings in their lives and Christine’s vocals do the song a great justice.

“I am free” was produced, mixed and mastered by Majic Mike at the RedRepublik studio. Apart from producing music, Majic Mike is also an artist, composer and song writer.
