We all know how Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates launched Facebook from Harvard’s dormitory rooms. Something that started as a mere networking site for campus students grew into the World’s biggest social site making Zuckerberg a billionaire at just 23 years. Back home, a student one of the local public universities may just be the next Mark Zuckerberg thanks to his ingenuity.

Evans Kigen, a Moi University student has come up with a social network dubbed vibecampo.com in a bid to connect Kenyan students online. VibeCampo is a mishmash of highbred slang words meaning: signals or messages sent out to someone and campus respectively.

The engineering student, Evans Kigen says the platform will help improve online interactions mainly in universities and colleges. This move will bring ease to students as they build a personal brand of who they are? What they do? By showcasing their accomplishments and growing their reputation.

The idea cropped up earlier this year while reporting for 2^nd semester In the Electrical and Communication Engineering faculty. Since then it has not been a walk in the park as he had to sacrifice some his classes to finish up with the project.

He faced a couple of challenges with the most recent one his Vibecampo Page which garnered 1076 likes on Facebook being hacked.

Yesterday we woke up to yet another bizarre incident that involved bestiality. This time a man in Limuru was busted involving himself in a natural act with a dog.

Well, yesterday the police launched a manhunt for the poor dog and the search is still ongoing for a dog that was allegedly defiled by a middle-aged man in Limuru in the County of Kiambu.

This is after the police asked the locals to look for the animal. The man believed to have engaged in a sexual act with the dog was arrested on Tuesday at the scene of the crime and taken to Tigoni Police Station. The accused appeared calm and at peace even as the village came to a standstill over his alleged un-orthodox act.

Neighbors claim that they witnessed the beastly act, and have promptly been advised to find the missing dog that is in this case both victims. And just as well, complainant.

It would seem cupid has been working overtime in the Diamonds House. Kenya’s Huddah revealed with a straight face in her Diary Session that she wouldn’t mind getting a kiss from Bolt, Angelo or “anyone confident enough”.

According to Kenya’s Annabel, the blame should be placed squarely on Big Brother’s shoulders. “The Task has really changed the mood in the House Biggie. There is so much flirting going on and people are getting closer. All the girls feel special,” she said. Annabel revealed how the ladies decided to make an effort with their appearance today because the boys are being so nice.

When asked who in particular he is getting close to, Bolt said “Betty and a few others”. We wonder who “the others” could be. Annabel, perhaps? Uganda’s sexiest woman (according to THIS post) Zari Hassan AKA The Boss Lady has come out to challenge the ultimate prize for Big Brother The Chase, terming it too low for her to compete for.

The beautiful Ugandan enterprenuer and singer thinks $300000 grand prize up for grabs in The Chase is a small amount to spend an entire 91 days competing for. Zari argues that she drives a $389,500 car which is more than the prize money for the reality show.

On Sunday, Zari tweeted, “BBA I drive a car of $3895000 therefore can’t compete for $300000, its only for small boys” adding, “Was hustling it out this Sunday for tenders while yall chillaxed. Am making me some #$$$$…”A tweet she deleted immediately she started being reprimanded by fellow countrymen on Twitter.

Ironically, Zari’s ex-lover, basketball star, Isaac Lugudde AKA LK-4 is representing Uganda in The Chase.

Zari and her tycoon husband Ivan Ssemwanga are known for their lavish living and are never shy of splashing cash around. The power couple owns high-end market cars which include BMW 335i, Black Chrysler, Audi Q7, Silver Chrysler, Hummer H3, Range Rover, a black twin-turbo V8 Porsche Cayenne and most recently Lamborghini, which all have personalized plates.

And Dennis Itumbi has taken it upon himself to send the message to the current Members of parliament more concerned with their bellies than working for their electorate.

Soon after our “honourable” MPs decided to voted for a motion to de-gazette a notice that slashed their salaries from Ksh 851,000 to Ksh 532,000, Dennis Itumbi took to Facenbook to issue this statement:

“The only way to stop MPs from increasing their salaries is through a constitutional amendment; that will eventually come to a referendum and we can propose to do away/review article 93,94 and 95 of the constitution and effectively transfer the role of parliament to senate, effectively doing away with parliament altogether.

“For once let’s show these guys we have the power. If you believe we can raise 1 million signatures to stop this guys, send me your name and the County where you are registered as a voter. We can pull this off the legal way. Let’s do away with parliament and remain with senate… send to referendum@email.biz – If you don’t agree this is the best strategy leave your comments too…”

Yesterday Huddah referred to Addis Ababa as a country… Uhm… Yeah… For those of you in the same boat as Huddah, allow me to clarify something to you:

Like Annabel, Huddah is promising real entertainment from her.

She’s feeling energetic, her first impressions are that everyone hasn’t exposed themselves yet. She had a fight with Elikem and it got her a bit worked up. The fight was about eggs in the morning and when she was cleaning, he seemed to have opinions on how she does things, however they are cool now coz he apologized.

She says some housemates are trying too hard to impress Africa and Biggie says she should share which housemate she thinks is trying too hard, she doesn’t wanna mention names and says everyone. She says she doesn’t have a strategy, she’s just being herself.

She says she hates pretentious people and people who are messy, she likes alcohol and the jaccuzzi.

Huddah says Africa can expect entertainment and realness, she speaks her mind all the time and expect drama, it’s gonna happen. She’s also learning about different cultures and has learned that Africa really is the motherland.

Diva has been alleging that she is dating Prezzo something that Huddah didn’t take lightly because there were tittle-tattles that she also dated the “Liqher” sometime back.

However, Sunday, Diva who is a radio presenter on Clouds FM seemed to have put her differences with Huddah aside and decided to support her in Big Brother ‘The Chase’.  In a tweet, the radio personality vowed to throw her weight behind Huddah, never to talk smack about her and to watch her all day.

I don’t care whether you are completely anti-Huddah or you like them as dense as lead, you now have an excuse to vote for Huddah Monroe to save Team Kenya from impending elimination -voyeurism!

Huddah is indeed a narcissist with dire cravings for attention but let’s be honest, that’s why we like her. And true to her nature, she said she will be indulging in some coital pleasures after Sunday is done. Don’t get me wrong, I do not for a second believe her nor do I think she’s serious. This seems like an attempt to save herself but at the end of the day, the day ends… But atleast you’ll have an excuse to save her.

The Star newspaper has been ordered to publish an apology to President Uhuru Kenyatta. The Media Council Complaints Commission ordered the Star newspaper to do so after President Kenyatta demanded an unspecified amount in damages following the publication of an article authored by columnist Jerry Okungu.

The article, “What if Uhuru Ruto win?” was published by The Star daily on February 6, 2012, and Uhuru, then a presidential aspirant, took offence with a line in the opinion that compared his possible election to that of infamous dictator Adolf Hitler in 1930s.

The President had complained that Okungu’s article portrayed him as a would-be dictator of Hitler’s magnitude, having been accused of orchestrating World War II and slaughter of over 6 million Jews in the Holocaust, if elected.

Yesterday, although the commission found that Okungu’s article contained a line that vilified Uhuru, it refused to award the President any damages, as it does not have jurisdiction to do so.

“The Commission makes no orders with regard to damages as jurisdiction of the Commission with remedies is limited under the Media Act and the Commission rules of procedure,” Commissioner Grace Katasi read. However, the Commission ordered The Star to publish a public apology to the President within 14 days in the same manner and prominence of the article which the Commission ruled was a violation of sections of the Constitution.

It seems matters of the bedroom are have gone to the dogs, quite literally. The memories of the dog p0rn scandal in Nyali, Mombasa is still fresh in our minds as though it happened yesterday. And now we are being hit by yet another similar incident where a man has been arrested in Tigoni for getting intimate with a dog.

A middle aged man has been arrested in Limuru in the county of Kiambu for allegedly having sex with a dog on Monday night. The man was arrested yesterday after neighbours who witnessed the incident reported him at the Tigoni police station.

The man is now being held at Tigoni police station but the whereabouts of the dog are still unknown, however a manhunt for the dog has been launched.

So last evening, Diamond Housemates had their diary sessions and while most of them seem to be homesick already, one half of the Kenyan representative to The Chase, Annabel Mbaru remained upbeat about being in the house and went on to reveal what’s in her heart and mind.

She’s excited about being in the house, she wasn’t happy on Sunday because her suitcase was held at airport which made her very emotional. Her first impression of the house was lovely, she likes the fact that she has a fellow Kenyan, it makes her feel at home.

She’s getting along with everyone, but with Huddah more, although she doesn’t feel she’s connected with Fatima, she says Fatima is a bit reserved. She feels they don’t connect personality wise because she’s an extrovert and Fatima is and introvert, she says Fatima is a hard nut to crack. When asked to discibe her personality, she says she’s happy, she’s an extrovert and can’t wait for Friday for alcohol to come, she’s mellow when she’s sober but when alcohol comes her personality comes out.

She feels people are trying to impress others and are not being real. She says she thought her personality was out there, but now that she’s here she realises others are like that as well, she thought she was gonna stand out.

She ends her session by saying Africa should expect a lot of fun from her, many sleepless nights and romance, passion. She says she could start a romance with Angelo or Bolt. She says even though Angelo looks like a player there’s a bit of a sensitive side to him. And Bolt because he’s West African, she has something for West African
men, plus he’s good looking.

Kenya has responded overwhelmingly! Yesterday on ghafla I asked you whom you felt had what it takes within them to bring the money home and Kenyans responded! Thank you. And without further ado, *drum roll*:

I guess it’s true what they say about any publicity being bad publicity! Even bad publicity given that it still puts your name out there. And that seems to be the case with Huddah Monroe.

Do you remember Rose Nasimiyu? The girl, who at nine years, last year, gained fame countrywide due to her brave battle with cancer? Well, the young girl is now safe having been declared cancer-free late last year.

Having released her first single 2 years ago with the aim of raising money for her chemotherapy treatment, the song went on to become a hit and helped in raising part of the cash required. Rose even shot a video for the song after the got the video shot through her parent’s support.

It would seem the rest of Huddah Monroe’s housemates have seen right through her uhm… How would I say this… Bull excrement! They gave her 7 nominations for evictions from the BBA house!

Huddah’s strategy seems to be one of controversy mingled with sensual seduction. Yesterday which was the first day since they had all made their grand entrances into the house, she was already receiving a massage and moaning suggestively. Read about that here.

But the thing about BBA is that it would seem the seductive vibe only works for men. Think of Richard. that sexually charged approach to BBA only seems to work for men. When we are talking women, it would seem Africa wants to see a homely woman. Think of the late Goldie.

That must be why Huddah’s approach has backfired! And given that she is on the chopping block this week, I do not honestly see her surviving. But being a proud member of Team Kenya, I will giver her my vote to the bitter end! And that is what is known as patriotism.
