Building Housing Baraka FM Gutted Down By Fire

Tuesday night fierce fire engulfed Cannon Towers one of the landmark buildings in Mombasa town. The fire outbreak not only burned down properties worth millions but has had a major economic impact on businesses on the building.

Among those affected was Baraka FM – the oldest private FM station in Coast province which is housed on the buildings 7th floor. The station went off air about an hour after the fire began and it was not clear immediately if fire had gutted it or if any staff members were injured.

However, a statement from the radio station indicated that it was partly affected by the fire. “Cannon Towers is still burning but the fire brigade is here. All Baraka FM staff tupo salama, no injuries whatsoever, just burnt offices and property. Chanzo cha moto bado hakijatambuliwa,” read the update.

Operations at the radio station were interrupted forcing the station to go off air until last night when normal operations resumed.

According to Gospel artist Papa Muyelele who is also a radio presenter at Baraka FM, the station was not affected by the inferno. “Baraka Fm wasnt touched by yesterday’s fire at CANNON Towers…God is good!Bado tunazidi ku Shika-More….” declared the singer.

Hilarious CV Sent To Churchill Asking For A Job

When applying for a job, applicants are always advised to polish their CVs so that they speak volumes about you even before meeting a potential employer. Now, recently funnyman Churchill received a CV from someone who wanted to join his Laugh Industry company as a comedian. But looking at the CV, it’s not the conventional one people write.

In my view, he should be given the job because he has already proved that he is equal to the task; he’s funny! Take a look;

Chinua Achebe Remains to Be Interred Today

The body of revered writer Chinua Achebe arrived Wednesday in his home state in Nigeria, where hundreds of admirers packed a stadium to pay tribute a day ahead of his funeral today.

A wooden coffin transported the body of Achebe, the celebrated author of the novel Things Fall Apart, who died in March in the US at age 82. His coffin was taken on Wednesday to a stadium in Awka in Anambra State in Nigeria’s southeast, where some 2,000 people gathered and the Anglican archbishop of Anambra prayed over his body.

Some mourners dressed in shirts with his picture emblazoned on them, while local chiefs wore traditional red caps common among Igbos, Achebe’s ethnic group. His body had initially arrived back in Nigeria in the capital Abuja on Tuesday.

Prof Achebe is to be buried today in his native town of Ogidi in Anambra State in a ceremony expected to draw fellow writers, local officials, foreign dignitaries and the Archbishop of Canterbury, according to local media.

Achebe is widely regarded as the founding father of African literature in English.

Ever Wanted To Be In The Same Class With SuperModel Ajuma Nasenyana?

Brew Bistro is that place that rocks. The crowd is awesome and the ambience is to die for!

http://fashion.lilithezine.com/images/Ajuma-Nasenyana-35.jpg

I haven’t even talked about the food! So, as they say, if you do something well, why not teach others? By turning your ‘product’ into a ‘service’, then you can monetize your skills. That’s one of the lessons I learned last year. So yes, they are teaching you how to cook! Meanwhile her online images are so enthralling! I saw her at Amani’s launch for her song Kiboko changu and yes girl was strutting as she walked in.

http://talkfame.typepad.com/.a/6a012876052e4e970c0133ec5eb646970b-800wi

That however is not what caught my attention, what then you ask? Ajuma! Yes supermodel Ajuma will be in the classes learning to cook. Or teaching. I’m not quite sure, which in no way reflects my research skils, those are impeccable. She will be there, that, that people is huge! So, wanna learn how to cook, propped next to Ajuma the supermodel? Then check out that poster I ‘stole’ from their page! And yes, I plan to steal a couple of glances at Brew, heck, I might even ask a photographer to tag along just so I can flaunt that I ‘know’ people! Keep your eyes peeled for those. More Brew Bistro news here!

KOT: Nick Mutuma’s Latest Video is Garbage!

These are not my thoughts but those of a section Kenyans on Twitter (KOT). Known for their exacting nature, which they like to refer to as sincerity, the KOT badly trolled media personality, actor and now rapper Nick Mutuma and his new track 254 Anthem featuring Lyra Aoko.

The video was unveiled last Friday at a flamboyant event dubbed ‘The 254 Experience’ and graced by who is who in Nairobi’s artsy landscape. However, less than a week after the release some people thought that Nick did not put more effort in the video and resorted to diatribes.

Wednesday, Twitter was abuzz with negative energy channeled towards the ‘Shuga’ actor. Here are a few comments from YouTube and Twitter;

Oh boy, why you wanna go and do dat son huh!. You do acting so much better, this is almost average, but there is room for improvement.

dont be a ‘jerk’ of all trades and a master of none..This is total injustice to the hiphop community. You can do better.

not a hater but just because youve got a preety face doesnt mean you can sing!

TWO FIVE SNORE smh

Great beat n video quality but i’d say crappy lyrics. Sing about something sensible and real Kenyan ish, Kwani itakuwa ni swag kila siku??? Consult Collo or Rabbit before you air out your lyrics!!

disgrace to the hiphop society

“Toto kula ama nikueke ngoma ya Nick Mutuma””

Music ain’t for everybody…hehe just butt out Nick Mutuma.. You cute tho, do pictorials dropping off your jeans and stuff!! That be cool..

The Nick Mutuma’s song was also featured in 1000 Ways To Die

Nick Mutuma is making Bamzigi feel like he is 2Pac.

I think Nick Mutuma’s video is a diversion by the US government to make sure Kenyans concentrate less on the Obama not coming to Kenya issue

N.mutuma ameimba wimbo ya kurudisha nyoka pangoni

He’s so lucky he is pretty,,,,coz this is just lazy work,,,,check sauti sol, even utawala by juliani ish!!!!

Lazima uchape wife ukimpata na ringtone ya Nick Mutuma

I like him better as an actor

So President Uhuru is in Office Pretending that Nick Mutuma’s Decision to do music is Not Matter of National security. smh

Friends don’t let friends drink and record songs. Disappointed with Nick mutuma’s friends’

Mutuma releases a song, Obama skips Kenya. If he releases another song, i swear even peeps from Rongai won’t visit us..

BREAKING: Bensouda spotted in Kenya trying to arrest Nick Mutuma for crimes against humanity.”

So Nick Mutuma raps now? WHAT HAPPENED TO HAVING HONEST FRIENDS?”

Nick Mutuma’s music does to people what bullets did to Pistorius’ girlfriend.”

In my opinion this video is not as bad as it’s made to look. You be the judge;

{youtube}zgvAvoWh4Gg{/youtube}

Read Uncle Chim Tuna’s response to Nick’s “haters”.

Habida Lashes Out At Nicki Minaj

It is without a doubt that she is one of the super beautiful musicians around. But make no mistake, Habida is also one of the people whose morals are in check, probably why there has never been any controversy dogging her.

Well, have you watched French Montana’s ‘Freaks’ video featuring Nicki Minaj? If you haven’t, don’t try watching it with underage kids around.

{youtube}Z1FK7yKRVXQ{/youtube}

After watching the video, the ‘Kesho’ singer did not hide her disapproval;

“I used to like Nicky Minaj but she is getting too much. What kind of role models are these people? What kind of women do we want to raise? I must admit we are different in terms of morals and I am glad. It takes a village (community) to raise a child… This is rubbish!” asserted Habida.

She did out of a feeling of moral obligation and not for any other reason.

Meanwhile, her new video, “Lights Up” will be dropping very soon. Check out the teaser HERE.

Photo of The Day: Huddah Monroe Flaunts A Bag Full of New Dollar Bills

Yesterday, Uncle Chim Tuna revealed that ‘Thee Boss Lady’ Huddah Monroe is one of the two contestants believed to represent the country in this year’s Big Brother Stargame. However, before she leaves for the reality show, Huddah decided to let us in on her ‘fortunes’; a suitcase full of new dollar bills!

Whether it’s hers or not, this is a lot of ‘pepe’ converted to KES. She shared this photo recently declaring, “I want this sh*t forever, #RichForever!!!!” And maybe, just maybe, she might soon be “tweet-pic’ing” more of these just in case she emerges winner in BBA8, the Chase.

And Now Here’s A Documentary Based on MPs’ Greed

On 14 May 2013, Civil Society activists took to the street to protest the plan by members of Parliament to review their salaries upwards. Their action was not only support by Kenyans in the country but also miles away in the diaspora.

Just a week and a couple of days after the protests, renowned hip-hop rapper K-Nel is on the precipice of releasing a mini film that will tell the world about the greed of Kenyan legislators. K-Nel has been on the forefront protesting MPs’ demands for higher pay perks.

K-Nel immediately released a track titled “MPIGS” (Members of Parliament Implementing Greedy Tactics) when the legislators started pushing for a pay rise. The song went viral and spread fast via the social network, receiving radio play across East Africa and on online radio stations.

However, K-Nel wanted to do more. He had the vision of letting the voices of those oppressed by the system to air out their opinion on the subject. He announced the idea of releasing an independent Minifilm project under the same title. Supported by Swahili Studios/ Follow Focus production and with Georges Mboya as the executive film director and editor, K-Nel’s film script was executed.

The world is looking forward to 1st of June when the entire project will be released. Until then, here is the official trailer edited by Georges Mboya.

Colonel Mustafa Accused Of Running Away After Sex

Colonel Mustafa has been accused of a ‘hit and run.’

A lady named Beth from South C took to one of Facebook’s “Scandal Pages” to shed some light on what she thinks is unsavoury behaviour from the Ogopa Deejays musician. She said,

“Hi admin, naitwa Beth kutoka South C. Since Colonel Mustafa waachane na Marya nimekuwa namnyemelea na nikafanikiwa kumpata. At first nilidhani ananipenda kumbe hakuna kitu. Hii ngoma mpya yake inaitwa “Lenga Stress” alikuwa ananiambia tutafanya na yeye but ameiimba solo. Saa ashanimanga na akaanza kunihepa hata simu hashiki. Seriously admin, huyu msee amelala na mimi mara mob na sasa ananidump na mauwongo kwanza alikuwa amenipromise nitakuwa mfamous kama Marya bt hakuna kitu. Pliz admin help me expose him coz mimi ni msupa kuliko Marya.”

After these heinous accusations were dropped, we got in touch with Mustafa. Initially, the dude was shell shocked by the vibe, saying, “sina copy… Nimepigiwa simu kutoka muranga…” After he read the whole story, he responded to the allegations by saying, “Simjui Kabisa! Nimeekelewa stori hapa.. shes trying to be famous.. like my ex…”

Is he talking about Marya? And whose side of the story do you believe? Leave your interesting responses in the comment section below:

Capital Fm, Jameson, Google, Resolution Health, Safaricom, Behind KikoRomeo 007 Shaken Not Stirred!

Fashion I feel is undergoing a major metamorphosis! It must be something in the water, what else can explain the amazing fashion events that are coming in succession!

There’s an event called Kiko Romeo 007. Kiko Romeo is the brainchild of Ann Mcreath, arguably one of the best designers in Africa! She recently had a google hangout, read about that here. The kikoRomeo 007 this year, is all about setting standards and breaking existing ones! The shared pictures are from past collections for men.

Last year’s event saw Ann McCreath flying in Randolf Gray, an International renowned hair stylist who has worked celebrities like Beyonce,Naomi Campbell, Rihanna and a number of people prominently resting pretty in the Forbes billionaires list.

What shall she unveil this year? Keep pondering! Randolf Gray by the way, went all out to make sure the hair of the models is done right. Last year’s event was graced by dignitaries such as Ida Odinga, Hon. Martha Karua, corporate CEOs and Top models. Wanna hobnob with the who’s who of this country? Grab those tickets!

This year, the rumour mills are rife that Ann Mcreath has spared no effort in ensuring she tops last year’s event. She is supposedly flying in one of the top art directors to choreograph the show. I’m not stumbling all over my words, the event will not just be another showcase, it will art personified!

29th of May, tickets are 2,900 for regular and 5000 for VIP, at selected outlets. Check out the list of sponsors: Jameson, Capital Fm, Safaricom, Resolution Health, Google, Dormans, Sierra, Yaya Centre and Nomadic Tents. Still unconvinced? I rest my Case!

K’Cous Girlfriend Releases Her 2nd Track! Check It Out Here!

Just today I had said that while I like Tiri’s first track, it had too many famous guest appearances. I’d said that I want to see or rather hear her do more of the track alone and she has responded.

This time she has only teamed up with her boyfriend K’Cous and they have released the track titled “Mash Up”. I like the fact that K’Cous has tried his hand at producing an RnB jam but it still bears his signature adlibs and loops.

Can’t fault the lad for signing his work though. With that said, I can’t believe just how amazing Tiri’s vocals are! If ever any of you had any doubt, this will change your mind! Check it down below:

Caroline Mutoko Comes Out Swinging! Takes Shots At Kahawa Tungulu!

Caroline Mutoko has never been the type to take punches lying down. But her approach to Kahawa Vitungu left me baffled. She chose to be zen about this rumour mongerer!

But it has now become apparent that she is a student of Sun Tzu! She is a student of the art of war! She waited. She reminds me of the Akan proverb, “It may not speak but it breathes!” She took her time and has now decided to take shots at Kahawa Tunga:

“In a world hungry for negative news, gossip and scandal, page views are generated by catering to the lowest common denominator and the lowest, primal need in a human being.

The need to be vile. In the world of social media and gossip blogs the repugnant need to the

anonymously vile fuels the page views. Enter the world of lies, rumours and malice on your daily gossip blog. If you really want to know what’s behind the nasty tales you droll over daily, follow the money.

Those blogs would not exist without you and because the losers behind them know you are a closet nutcase, they make a living by feeding your need for salacious gossip about people you would never openly admit you envy and are indeed a little jealous of. Being a troll, a bully and a shallow-what-no-not is a drug habit – you’re junkie, he’s the peddler. Tsk, tsk – hold your tongue. I am not done yet.

Have I got your attention now? Good. Take notes. Gossip blogging isn’t about honest amazing stories or freedom of press as one idiot puts it. It’s about filth. What use are real stories anyway?

The truth doesn’t sell as well as lies coated in malice and just a touch of cloak and dagger. But where do they get the fodder you wonder? It’s simple. Gossip bloggers target names that make your heads spin.

Yes, yours. By and large the rumour mongers don’t care much for the people they write about, in-fact they don’t know us or pretend to – but they know that you do.

When I hear people asking of certain gossip bloggers “what’s wrong with him, what’s his problem?” I laugh. It’s not him, it’s you. He knows how petty you are sitting behind your phone, laptop or PC at work.

He knows you are shallow, a closet anarchist, bottom feeder and best of all you are idle and so if his gossip blog can tell nasty stories at least thrice a week and use names like, Jaguar, Octopizzo, Julie Gichuru, Linus Gitahi, Caroline Mutoko, Raila Odinga, Rachel Shebesh, Sonko, Maina Kageni, Mutahi Ngunyi, Mutula Kilonzo et al – he knows by the very nature of who you are, you will click, read and spread.

The more page views he gets the more google ads he gets the more money he gets. He’s the pimp. You’re his whore and you perform on cue.

Wait a minute. Didn’t you know this was about page views and money?

Oh get a grip!

A few months ago the buzz names were Luo, Kikuyu, Raila, Uhuruto, Cord, Jubilee, IEBC and Mutahi Ngunyi. Before that Safaricom, Bob Collymore, Saitoti, NTV, Citizen TV.

Internationally the game is the same – Beyonce, Rihanna, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston… I’m sure you get the drift. The science and method to the madness is the same – write rubbish, coat it with a little circumstantial truth and whip up a feeding frenzy. They only expose our shallowness as a people. It’s gruel and pigs.

The more it stinks the more the pigs gobble it up. I know, the penny just dropped and you’re squirming. It’s okay.

So, to the nonsense that was written about the late Mutula Kilonzo – what a silly tale. What amazes me is not the nerve of the fool that wrote it, and quickly tried to cover his tracks, but the sheer stupidity of those who didn’t simply read the first line and dismiss it as crap.

Say it with me – bottom feeder. It stunk and you were drawn to it, not repulsed.

So am I upset? Yes. What upsets me is that you denied the Kilonzo family a chance to bury the late Senator with minimal fanfare. This family has no illusions of who they are or who he was and they are fine with it. What’s your problem? They know more than you do. What are you trying to show them?

I’m also upset that I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye or even celebrate Mutula. The Mutula Kilonzo I knew was a smart man, a funny man and above all a very nice guy. Certain things will always stand out for me about Mutula.

He was a brilliant legal mind. He stood by what he believed and didn’t give two hoots what anyone thought. If you’re a newbie at Radio Africa you don’t know this – but Mutula stood by this organisation solidly. When the late Mutula became a minister years ago – he and Otieno Kajwang made Kiss 100 their first call and their first stop.

To the entire Mutula family, be well. My thoughts and prayers remain with you. To Mutula Kilonzo – Asa, Tata, Koma. I’ll come to your graveside one of these days and say farewell, but not before I do as you would have done and bury these liars.”

Kriss Darlin’s Marriage On The Rocks! Dennis Oliech’s Sister (His Wife) Says She Wants A…

Top rated reggae DJ Kriss Darlin’s marriage is reportedly on the ropes! The highly rated reggae DJ wife who happens to be Dennis Oliech’s sister; Elsie is headed for splitsville due to some rumours doing the rounds on the internets.

Elsie Oliech it’s reported caught wind of a rather damaging rumour concerning her hubby, his side chick and their love-child. Yup! It is said that she has caught wind of the indiscretion and the fruits of that love labour and she is now weighing her options.

Elsie who is currently in France taking care of their sick mother is looking at her options and seriously weighing a separation and possibly divorce… She said this through a statement on via social media.

Check it out below:

“If someone screwed you over or hurt you don’t go after them, because you will just lower yourself to their level, you are better than that, forget about them and live your life happy, not because someone made you do it, but because you wanted it for yourself. …”

Nonini To Celebrate Hitting 103,000 Facebook Fans In Style At Mojo’s Lounge N Bar!

Nonini is clearly loved. Have you seen the numbers on his Facebook page?

As of right now, the numbers stand at a whooping 103,000 likes! That kind of love on social media deserves special recognition. And because great minds think alike, Nonini went ahead and organized a ‘party’ to celebrate with all his fans. Where? when? Breathe people, I’m getting to it.

Here are the details: Mojo’s Lounge n Bar opposite Nation Center—–AFRICAN NIGHT—-Hosted by MgengeTrue & Dj Wesley on the decks! What you need to remember is that this will be happening every Wednesday. Every…starting 29th Wednesday. Mark your diaries, keep reminders, tattoo your wrists!

Motherland Chunes is the secret word, and 29th which is the inaugural event will be a party of sorts. He like I told you, will be marking the 100,000 milestones by his ‘Wagenge-True Strong Nonini Facebook Fans.’ Expect great people, great music, awesome food, and free shots of Molly for the 1st 50 Mamaz. To quote Nonini, “WEWE NIELEZEE!” Free entry people, no excuse is justified.

Nonini by the way recently opened up his Youtube channel to other artists. Read about this laudable venture here. Again, great job with the show in the morning Sir Nonini, the throwback segment on your show is really awesome.

After Shutting Down A Club In Nakuru, JB Now Unleashes Skiza Tunes!

You already know that JB will be with Wanjiku, Jeff already notified you! The show like he said is called the Hot Seat and will be at Alliance Francaise.

It is by Heartstrings, The Hot Seat is slated to be the magical elixir that breathes longevity to your life! Laughter after all is the best medicine! What don’t know about JB after detailed piece I did on him? Read about him here by the way!

Two things. One, that he shut down a club in Nakuru! So JB decided to check into Rafikis with his fiancee and fellow 1 FM co-host Tina. And the crowd went crazy! Fans and onlookers were scrambling to take pictures of him and the bouncers weren’t having none of that commotion! It actually got so bad that an altercation ensued and the some of the patrons had to be kicked out. By that time, JB had been escorted out oft he club. Sema celebrity status!

That may explain his awesome run this year. Apart from the show he’s doing called the hot seat directed by Sammy Mwangi, he also plans to tie the knot this year. Yes people, nuptuals are in the offing! Meanwhile, he is now doing Skiza tunes! Have you downloaded them to your phone? If not, below are all the codes, text away oh ye earthlings, text away.

Vote For One Of My Favorites Mercy Wairegi, She Clinched Not 1 But 3 Groove Awards Nominations!

It’s no open secret that I have a ‘penchant’ for awesome vocalists, and one that really really ‘gets to me’ is Mercy Wairegi. Her mellismas/runs are so effortless, and her vocal prowess is undeniable!

Get to me has been used endearingly by the way. The first time I heard this girl’s voice I was enthralled! So imagine the warm fuzzy feeling that permeated me when I heard her sing live at Kivulini last year. Kivulini is an event organized by Zidi the band and NTV’S Dann Number 8 Mwangi, who also happens to be a rapper. So I won’t trip, I haven’t interviewed Mercy, not yet. What i do know is that she’s up for three Groove awards! Stoked is an understatement, because I really dig this lady’s Music!

Check this status below, that I got from her Facebook page! This is my subjective opinion, a huge chunk of Kenya’s best singers are female gospel artists. Subjective people, subjective. It has something to do with the rigorous vocal training that you undergo every week when in the worship team. Those scales and trills you are subjected to are not easy, but they mould you. Trust me, I know!

“This year,2013, I have been nominated by the Groove Awards ,for the; >Female artist of the Year Award >Album of the year Award, and >Ayala as worship song of the Year. I am calling on us to Vote for me starting now to help me emerge the Winner.

I have a feeling this is my year… since 2009 I have always been nominated for groove awards … but this year feels special i can only win if u vote for me . HOW?
SEND AN SMS WRITTEN “GROOVE 2F” TO THE NUMBER 811
SEND AN SMS WRITTEN “GROOVE 6B” TO THE NUMBER 811
SEND AN SMS WRITTEN “GROOVE 7D” TO THE NUMBER 811

OR VOTE VIA THE GROOVE AWARDS FACEBOOK PAGE. GOD BLESS YOU AS YOU DO THIS.”

Why you gotta vote for her? Listen to the video below! And no people, Mercy has no greased my palms to toot her horn, I just really love her. Her, Kambua, Alice Kamande, Eunice Njeri, and Nico. Read about another Mercy nominated for Groove awards here. The video I shared below, is titled my strength, a song that I dubbed a pick-me-up.

This Is How Creatives Garage’s Turning 1 Party Went Down At Pawa 254! (Photos)

On Saturday, I had one plan in mind, head on down to Pawa254 to check out Creatives Garage. ‘My enemies’ however plotted to derail me but I finally made it, albeit fashionably late. What I didn’t miss however were the performances!

The event was held at Pawa254, which is run by Boniface Mwangi recently in the news for leading the Occupy Parliament pigotry protests. Here’s a joke I still remember from Teardrops, “Unajifanya unaogopa wadudu na kwenu ni Nanyuki..” How about this one, playing on the voices people sing or ‘speak’ in, “Una soprano na kazi ni kukaa base ya mtaani..”. That in a nutshell summarises the epicness that was Creatives Garage: Turning 1 Party. See those pictures below courtesy of their facebook page! Read about that party here.

And the emcee of the day was Hot 96’S radio presenter Cindy Ogana.

And we were led in the national anthem by Singer Ziki, the lady with dyed dreads. She is part of the Nai ni who team.

And this is Tear drops.

Singer/vocal coach Andrew Wambua flanked by Kiu’s band. He is also a teacher at Sauti Academy, and the two guys are students there.

And these are the ladies of Kiu. Tracy, Pauline and Rosa, you guys watch out for these ladies!

And this picture above as well as the one below, have gotta be my favorites out of all the ones I’ve shared. All in all it was a day well spent!

In Pictures: The Faces Behind XYZ’s Characters’ Voices

The XYZ Show has grown over the years to be the premier political satire puppet show in Africa. Using puppets to poke relentless fun of Kenyan politicians, XYZ is fueled by the public’s frustration, and is the best example that freedom of speech is protected in Kenya.

Obama Skips Kenya; ‘Frustrated’ Kenyans Try To Explain Why

So, yesterday it became apparent that US President with Kenyan roots Barack Obama will not be coming to Kenya after all during his upcoming tour of Africa. According to his itinerary, he will only visit Senegal, Tanzania and South Africa.

The news was received with mixed reactions across the country, however, the Kenyan online community especially those on Twitter had the some of the craziest speculations why he chose to skip Kenya. Take a look;

#WhyObamaWillSkip Kenya Coz phones will be jammed, internet down roads to be washed in soap and other crappy stuff. Where is the fun in that?

#WhyObamaWillSkipKenya because he has been in kenya severally therefore he needs a change he can believe in.

#WhyObamaWillSkipKenya because the prodigal son never went back to his father till all his money got finished

#WhyObamaWillSkipKenya As the president of U.S.A,I wouldn’t intimidate myself by going to a nation where hustlers use jets!

#WhyObamaWillSkipKenya He cant stand china roads they are too way smooth for his motorcade

#WhyObamaWillSkipKenya hehe their family dog heard about mombasa

#WhyObamaWillSkipKenya because he’s afraid @DanielOwira will ask to be adopted by him. Bazinga!!

#WhyObamaWillSkipKenya anasema ocha kunabore

#WhyObamaWillSkipKenya His brother Malik Obama lost the Siaya gibermatorial election.

#WhyObamaWillSkipKenya They don’t want their family cat kutumbukizwa kwa mtungi donge!

#WhyObamaWillSkipKenya He doesn’t visit a country that its Secretary Union of workers has his own private solders.

#WhyObamaWillSkipKenya Coz of funny signs like USIKOJOE HAPA * american accent*

#WhyObamaWillSkipKenya hataki kuimba ” Started from the bottom now we here “

#WhyObamaWillSkipKenya every Luo from Nyanza wil start telling him how they used to wipe his father’s tears

Hot New Music Alert: What Happens When Kenya Meets West Africa? Check Out Amileena’s Collabo With This Cameroonian Rapper!

What happens when East Africa meets West Africa? Well for starters your favourite dede: Chim Obiajulu. But when we are speaking arts. then the result is this awesome collabo!

The track is by Kenyan based Cameroonian rapper Hopiho and it has that distinct West Africa bounce. It has that distinct je nes sais quoi. This track is guaranteed to get you on your feet and dancing. The rapper Hopiho (a friend of mine whose government names are Pascal-Olivier Ouandji) is good at rapping in French -kinda felt like I had trace TV stuck in my head. He makes French seem less offensive and more welcoming. He makes French seem easy.

Listen to how the Cameroonian-Kenya flows so nicely! Amileena does her usual trick of making singing like an angel seem easy. that was nothing short of expected from her!

Check out the track below:

KTN’s Screen Siren Named 3rd Sexiest Woman in Uganda

KTN’s Ugandan national anchor/reporter Joy Doreen Biira was recently named the third most sexy and brainy women in her home country. According to Elle Afrique, a popular magazine in Uganda, Joy Doreen possessed all the three qualities they were looking for – Hot, Sexy and Brainy.

“It was a difficult task. An assignment that was first thought to be easy took almost two weeks to complete,” admits the researchers. But at the end of the two weeks, they finally emerged with the list of the top 40 hot, sexy and brainy women from the ‘Pearl of Africa’; and among them was this KTN’s gem.

Joy Doreen’s popularity on the Kenyan TV has immensly grown over the past year, thanks to her authoritatiave stories and striking looks. In fact, residents of some part in the country became creative and made a calender with the anchor’s photo;

Remember The Dandora Gang-Rape Story? Ghafla Get’s The National Senate Involved!

Yesterday, our very own Jeff Omondi highlighted a K24 story that for all intents and purposes was dead in the water yet is of national importance. The Dandora Gang Rape Epidemic. Dennis Okari carried out an investigation on a rather disturbing plight Dandora Phase 3 and 4 area residents suffer.

But after it was aired, it wasn’t carried by anyone. Our very own Jeff Omondi syndicated it and it went viral. And if you read Baba Ghafla’s article about the demograph that lives Ghafla, my next statement shouldn’t come as a surprise.

The story was read by a Senator: Senator Naisula Lesuuda and this is what she tweeted us:

Sen. Naisula Lesuuda Sen. Naisula Lesuuda @Lesuuda

@GhaflaKenya Just from a KEWOPA executive meeting and one of the issues we discussed is the Dandora Gang rape, we are picking it up.

So now we have a promise that action will be taken and the diabolical boys will meet the full force of the law! Justice will indeed be served for all the victims of these rapists and their canine actions! Read how i personally was touched enough to demand justice here.

And what were our honourable MPs doing? Trying to butcher the constitution to remove the senate! Priorities! Boniface Mwangi seems to be right on the money about the species of our honourable MPs!

Let this Be Known about Camp Mulla

Camp Mulla is arguably Kenya’s most sensational teen music group across the board, not just in hip-hop. However, there has been so much negative energy channeled towards the group most recently which, in my opinion, is quite unmerited. So, the group’s recording stable, Sub Sahara Entertainment has taken to clear the air about certain issues surrounding the group.

Here’s the official statement;

A lot of rumours have been floating around social media about the Kenyan superstar group Camp Mulla. The group’s members have matured since the band’s inception but Camp Mulla is alive and kicking it big.

It is true that Miss Karun is no longer with the group; she has left the group to prepare to join University in the USA in August. She’s also working on solo projects. Another of the group’s former members, Thee Mc Africa (previously known as The Taio Tripper) is also pursuing a solo career. Both Miss Karun and Thee Mc Africa are wished all the best in their pursuits.

Kus Ma and Shappa still carry the Camp Mulla flag and are the new face of the group. They recently gave an excellent performance in Durban, South Africa, gracing the same stage as Snoop Lion at the MTV ALL STARS©, on 18th May. Their performance featured popular Kenyan artist Collo and introduced hot newcomer, Tiri. Camp Mulla gave the crowd an exclusive listen to their new collabo, Chafua. Tiri also launched her first banger Mash Up.
She is a solo artist under the label.

A change is better than a rest and Camp Mulla still stands tall. With the smashing performance at the MTV ALL STARS, Kus Ma and Shappa show no signs of Camp Mulla slowing down.

Remember Camp Mulla’s K’Cous’ Girlfriend Tiri? She’s Just Released Her Debut Track! Check It Out Here!

Right off the bat, let me say the biggest shocker about the track is that K’Cous raps in Swahili… And it doesn’t sound bad at all!

But back to the star of the column -TiriTiri. The lass has an impressive set of vocals on her! I was happily amazed at just how good she sounds! The track is called “Chafua” and is a feel good party track that actually manages to make you feel good and get in the groove!

Photo: ITS GOING DOWN THIS WEEKEND!AT THE MTV ALLSTARS REPING SUB SAHARA ARE THE FOLLOWING! are Camp <a href=

She managed to get her labelmate and Kus Ma’s fellow bandmate Shappaman to lend his vocals on the track in form of a feature. And he does a good job of spitting his verse. Collo also does a great job. But here’s my only draw back, too many stars on her debut. She should have carried the track alone because she seems to have what it takes.

Meet Camp Mulla's New Stablemate, Tiri -Kus Ma's Girlfriend!
I hope to heaar more of her on her next track; no famous guest appearances. but all in all, it’s a good jam. Have a listen to it below:
