The Best And Worst Kenyan Songs Produced In 2014 (Part 1)

2014 has been a very productive year for many musicians as they saw their careers blossom and flourish immensely. Nice songs that have underlined the year 2014 have been produced, plunging artistes into various nominations and wins, building a name for Kenya in the international scene and attracting renowned celebrities and artistes who have done collabos with our own artistes.

From gospel to secular music, enthralling songs have been created and produced. Pitson, Willy Paul and others are some of the artists who made it big in the gospel industry this year. On the secular front, Sauti Sol have been the emperors in the entire kingdom, ruling the roost with verve and vigour, showing the world what they are best at.

Ghafla Kenya conducted a simple poll where I asked colleagues and friends to name some of the songs they think were the best in 2014 and those that they think should never have been produced because they are more than boring. Here are the results as given out:

Sauti Sol’s two songs Nishike and Sura Yako got the majority’s nod as among the best songs of 2014. These are the songs that helped the quartet land various nominations, notably the MTVEMA awards in Scotland where they won the best African act award but narrowly missed out on the best world act.

Nishike was however banned in Kenya because it was considered one of the dirtiest videos to have ever been produced in the country. Despite the ban, the video emerged as the most viewed on you tube with over 900,000 views. Was because of the ban? Well, I guess so.

Elani’s Milele hit is another song that was voted as among the songs that underlined the year 2014. The trio’s release received immense support when it first played on air in March this year. It sent out a clear signal that Elani were around to cause shock and send jitters down the spines of other musicians. Since then, the trio has been to places outside Kenya to do what they know best.

Pitson Geither made a name for himself when he came up with the Lingala Ya Yesu hit maker that catapulted the banker into the limelight. When he sat down to do the song, little did Pitson know that he had embarked on a journey that would see him dine with other renowned artistes in the country and beyond. To date, Pitson has released another song, Kilele, but it has not received the praise Lingala Ya Yesu got when it was first released 11 months ago.

Other songs that got incredible mentions include Kansoul Crew’s Dabotap and Nyongwa, which defined the group of three. Madtraxx, Mejja and Kidkora have continued to blaze with good hits, clearly showing that two heads are better than one.

Victoria Kimani’s collabo with Diamond and Ommy Dimpoz to come up with Prokoto is also considered here. Khaligraph Jones’ Embesha also got an incredible mention.

December May Be a Festive Season To Many But Not Octopizzo. This is Why it’s a Black Month For Him

Everyone knows Octopizzo had a rough past, one that has inspired him to conquer all odds. But his recent revelation will make you feel pity for him.

Even though Octopizzo’s story resonates well with most of us, one can’t stop having sympathy for him every time he narrates it. It is hard to believe he made it to be a star despite fate slapping him with heartbreaking incidents.

Octopizzo revealed he lost both of his parents in the month of December; though they passed away one year apart, both of their deaths happened in December.

December has always been a dark month for Octopizzo because of the two unfortunate incidents; down is what Octopizzo wrote:

It’s been 12 yrs Since Dad took a tour to Heaven and 11 yrs since Mum followed Him,yet it looks like it was Yesterday,if it was anything I’ll kill ma’self for you guys to come back and see ur sons, daughters and Granddaughters But I know you watching,December has always been my #BLACK month coz u all chose to leave in December, and I always think u gonna comeback in one of this Decembers’ too.

Meet Avril’s Mum! Do They Look Alike? (Photo)

A mother, I mean a loving mother, is the best thing that can ever happen to anyone. The love and care from a mother is insurmountable. Un-ending to be precise.

This explains why some people will go all to way to have everything at their disposal for their mothers.

Avril is the latest celebrate to show her love for her mother whom she flaunted in her instagram account with the caption, ‘…I am Mama’s girl’.

But do they really take after each other? It is not easy to exactly note as one is all smiles while the other is ‘refusing’ to smile.

Look at this photo:

Larry Madowo’s Ridicule Could Land Him in Jail Just Like Robert Alai. See What He Did

With the government cracking its whip on anyone who dares make fun of it, Larry Madowo is treading in dangerous waters with his sarcasm.

Robert Alai rubbed the government the wrong way with his “kalongolongo” sentiment and learnt his lesson the hard way; he spent a night in jail and paid a hefty price to be bailed out. His ordeal is enough to scare anyone who thought of stepping on the government’s foot.

But not Larry Madowo, he is bold enough to mock the government. The proposed Security Law Amendment Bill 2014 seeks to bar journalists from publishing images of dead people on their publications. The proponents of this Bill argued Western media (which have always been used as reference) don’t publish photos of dead people.

To prove the proponents of the Bill wrong, Larry Madowo took a screenshot of leading Western newspapers; International New York Times and The Times newspapers which published photos of dead victims of Peshawar school massacre in Pakistan on their front pages.( They were killed by the dreaded terrorist group; Taliban)

Will this land Larry in hot water? Guess only time will tell.

Robert Alai Is A Free Man

Robert Alai is now a free man! He was released on bond of Sh300, 000 with an option of a Sh200, 000 cash bail after denying the charges levied against him.

Robert was accused of   “undermining the authority of a public officer contrary to Section 132 of the Penal Code.”

Robert was said to have fired a salvo at the president on December 13, when he allegedly posted this on his Twitter page: “Insulting Raila is what Uhuru can do. He hasn’t realised the value of the presidency. Adolescent President. This seat needs maturity’.

Alai will be arraigned in court again next year for the hearing of the case on February 16.

Nonini Unexpectedly Unveils The Other Side of Him That You Didn’t Know (Photos)

Mgenge True has unleashed the other side of his life, one that many people probably didn’t know about it till now.

Many only know Nonini to be a rap maestro, the godfather of Genge; but music isn’t the only thing Nonini is good at doing. The revered rapper is also good at dribbling balls. Of cause not football, he can’t make it as a footballer; the 90 minutes game would “drain” him.

Nonini instead opted to participate in the 48 minutes basketball game. He dribbles so well and makes fascinating baskets; Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade will be so impressed by Nonini’s prowess in basketball (don’t mind the hyperbole).

Anyway, down is the photo gallery of Nonini (the basketball player) doing his tricks on a basketball court:

This Will Definitely Change Your Perception Of Rogue Gor Mahia Fans

The name Gor Mahia has become synonymous with wanton destruction and unadulterated wayward behavior.

Whenever there is a Gor Mahia match in town, the authorities always have their hands full trying to control the passionate, energetic and mostly rowdy fans.
Their “rogue on a rampage” nature has made them a royal pain in the butt for a lot of Kenyans but it seems that the image of the club is after all redeemable.

A Gor Mahia fan known as Mr. Wamor has just released a song using the Gor Mahia ‘Gini Wasekao ‘slogan which was produced by the superiorly talented Docta Eddie.

Mr. Wamor brings the energy and flamboyance associated with Gor Mahia fans into something pretty catchy. Check it out

After Spending The Night In A Dirty Cell Alai Is Arraigned In Court (Photos)

Many people assume being an activist is easy, it’s glamorous. It has instantaneous glory. This is because we have seen many activists such as Wangari Maathai  and Malala Yousafzai win peace prizes for all their trouble

But what most people do not know is that before you reach a level where you get recognized for your efforts there is hell to pay. For example Malala was shot in the head at 14 years by the Taliban for promoting female education. And you all know what happened to Wangari Maathai in her quest to keep our country green.

Robert Alai Kenya’s most controversial activist /provocateur / aggressor is now paying the price for stirrings the hornets’ nest. His release of Uhuru’s number and other dignitaries has had him locked up and now today he is being taken to court.

Alai is at the Holding cell at Kiambu Law Courts where he is awaiting trial but he managed to capture some pictures of the situation.

Kenrazy Confesses His Love For Caroline Mutoko

It is rare confession from a rare rapper to a rare former radio queen. Caroline Mutoko is well known within our confines as a no-nonsense woman. You remember her altercation with Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko? That explains who the lady is.

However, Kenrazy, Kenya’s veteran rapper has got all guts after he released a remix of Sauti Sol’s hit song Sura Yako where he mentions Caroline Mutoko.

In the remix, Kenrazy says that the Sura Yako Sauti Sol sang about was none other than that of Caroline Mutoko.

He says she has one of the prettiest faces he has ever seen. The singer then goes on to lavish praise on other celebrities.

Kenrazy has also talked of #Mydressmychoice slogan which arose after perverts stripped women in the streets of Nairobi.

Here is the video:

Janet Mbugua Rocks The Samburu Swag Effortlessly

In recent times we have seen a fashion revolution of sorts. Kenyans are dropping the western swag for something closer to their roots, closer to their hearts; African regalia.

Kitenge, lesso, ankara and kente prints have become the go-to choice for a considerable number of Africans nowadays. And it is not only Africans who are embracing the beautiful prints and patterns in African designs. Well known fashion houses are incorporating African styles and Fabrics into their collections. Even french fashion house Louis Vuitton used the Maasai print for their Spring/Summer menswear show in 2012.

And Janet Mbugua has not been left behind as she was spotted in some really cool Samburu ornaments

Just Like Moi, Kenyatta, Odinga and Kimathi, Now Vera Sidika Has a School in Kisumu Named After Her (Photo)

As controversial as she has always been, Vera Sidika probably has many admirers; the socialite has a school named after her.

Which other socialite has a public institution named after them? Vera Sidika is most likely a trend setter among all other Kenyan socialites. Other socialites have relentlessly tried to catch up to her standard but it seems Vera is on her own league.

One would expect Vera to be the last person for anyone to emulate, I mean she has consistently hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Who would want to be associated with her? Contrary to this common belief, actually there are many people who are looking up to her.

In Kisumu County, one school in particular has been named after Sidika; the public primary school is in Dogo area of Kisumu County.

a.vera

This one will surely make some people jealous. But was it really named after Vera Sidika or was it just a mere coincidence!

Why Sing in The Shower and You Have a Platform to be a Star

Nothing quite captures the night life more vividly than the sake-soaked image of drunken “salarymen” crooning & shaking their bodies to “Drunk in Love” in a bar for the second and most definitely not last time. Once in a while we need a night twisted with insanity and loads of fun to keep us in check. It’s but our right.

Karaoke Wednesday is back beautiful people, since not all of us can pass through the scrutiny of judges at ‘The Voice’, lets just settle with what we have.

Every Wednesday, Scratch Pub will be holding a Karaoke night, giving you a chance to come kroak your voice away with no judgments. A night of plenty singingdelicious food, beer and many more is what you deserve in mid-week.

Spend only 160/- on beer cans.

Scratch is located on Moi Avenue, 2nd floor of Sonalux House

Come ready to let loose, sing and dance all night!

5 Reasons Why Kenrazy Should Just Retire Already

Let me be clear. Music isn’t like soccer or wrestling; it doesn’t require that you have anything other than the proper vocal and mental tools to engage it. Honestly, I’m not really against the idea veteran artistes making music. I’m more against people that don’t make good music anymore continuing to make music.

Kenrazy has been around for a while now. The last few years have been nothing but awful for the artiste for a number of reasons. Yet, he continues to go on and on. His songs this year trigger a screeching effect in our ears rather than a lulling one. The ‘Ti Chi’ hit maker is horribly past its prime, having become insignificant in the local scene, and is now left making a joke of himself.

I say this with eyes wide open. There is absolutely nothing more that Kenrazy has to offer, and the best thing for him to do is to stop making music before he ruins his legacy any further. This article has five solid reasons why he should just quit for good.

Poor song writing.

Most contemporary music fans would agree that the last time Kenrazy released a satisfactory song was when he released Hivo Ndio Kunaendanga and Vitambi. But the only reason why these two singles rank in the upper echelon of his works is because the other artistes featured on them also delivered. After that, the lyrics have just dwindled to deplorable levels. They are waay off. The last truly amazing Kenrazy song released was “Ti Chi,” and that was way back in 2007. I was still learning about vertebrae and World War 2 in high school. Ever since then, most of his tunes are just poorly written pieces of rehash. They are predictable, laced with absolutely stupid lyrics, and display no creativity whatsoever. It is almost as if the guy has nothing to sing about any more. Aaargh.

rezzy2

He won’t embrace change

If you’re not surprised that Kenrazy is still around and making music, you probably have no idea who he is. Well, at one point, he was one of the most influential and forward thinking artistes in the 254, but while others have carried his torch into the 2010s, he seems contented jumping around as if we are still in 2008. Yes, he remains weird and unconventional, but the boundaries of Kenyan music have expanded well beyond where he’s operating, and if he’s not pushing boundaries, then he’s simply not doing what is required. Aint nobody gat time for that.

Repetitive And Annoying Beats

One thing that is particularly dull with Kenrazy these days is his stale material – his flow was cool about 8 years ago but now his beats just seem like watered-down run-offs of his greatest hits. They aren’t demonstrably different at all. If my artiste in question is going to keep shoving his music into our ears, then he should have grade A material each and every time he is in the studio or better yet; a whole new persona. Last year, Kenrazy returned with his egotistical grandpa star persona, it worked really well because the fans believed there was something new about him. Hell no. He has brought us back to his redundant flow. May Thor save us from this invasion please

The glory days are long gone…leave the past behind

Far too often, musicians cling to their past with desperation and lack of dignity. Their roam with the desire to reignite old infernos. This is usually due to their lack of outside resources as many professional musicians fail to see other opportunities outside of the industry. However, we don’t care. Figure out a transition thing and leave the past behind. The 2014 Kenrazy just isn’t as cool as the 2007 Kenrazy. There is a relevance factor to incorporate here and the simple fact is that it is just time to let it go, man.

I know nobody that likes him

Before this article, I conducted a popularity survey on Kenrazy through my social media platforms. I manage a couple of big pages and I have over 14,000 followers on Twitter too,  so I used these resources to find out how many people like the guy. Oh dear…….no one at all. There are few music acts that I have more contempt for than the Jipuka rapper and that’s just how it is. A successful artiste needs to be popular and Kenrazy just doesn’t measure to that at the moment. Quit Sir before it’s too late

Was Victoria Kimani Swindled By Nigerians To Adapt To Their Culture? She Reveals Here

Kenyan songbird Victoria Kimani has admitted that she was swindled by Nigerians to sing for them. This is why she produced the song Show that has already gained momentum and is doing well in the charts.

Victoria says that Nigerians demanded something for them from her and she could not fail them because they are her good friends.

Show was born out of this continued persuasion from Lagos and that explains why the song is sang in a Nigeria style and accent.

There are also mentions of Nigerian greats in the song.

Victoria was speaking to DJ Edu on his Destination Africa Africa show on BBC Radio 1xtra when she visited the United Kingdom last week.

It can also be remembered that the popstar once lived and schooled in Nigeria before relocating to the US and later to Kenya.

She has of late pitched camp in the West African state.

Kiss 100’s Adelle Onyango Mocks Alai After His Arrest

It is time for Kiss 100’s Adelle Onyango to have her moment after Robert Alai found himself on the wrong side of the law.

The blogger has spent the last two days behind bars after he was arrested for what was alleged to be lack of respect for the presidency.

It can be remembered that Adelle and Alai had a serious argument some days back and this is the genesis of their un-ending beef.

Alai called Adelle names some days back, something which did not go down well with the radio presenter.

This explains why Adelle is smiling after receiving news of Alai’s arrest and she quickly took to twitter to say that karma is real. She believes that karma is doing what she knows best.

adelle

Alai is expected to appear in court today.

Meanwhile, Adelle is having her share of laughter as the events unfold. What will Alai do when he is finally out?

CABU GAH DIARIES: Kiss TV; The Kenyan Entertainment Rebel.

Kiss TV has been in existence for like a million years now. Not exactly the most bubbling TV station,or the station with the funkiest TV shows,Kiss TV refuses to go away. Even when it should have a thousand Years ago.

When Kiss TV started we weren’t sure what exactly was going on. We still aren’t sure. Starting with it’s crop of some of the blandest and,I dare say, doziest TV presenters ever,Kiss TV is a train that just wont stop wrecking. Over and over again.

It started off with a bang….And trailed off into pure insipidness. At first, the concept was nonpareil. And the idea of a 24-hour Music channel appealed sooooo much to music-starved Kenyans in an age where the proliferation of music shows hadn’t quite caught on as it has now.

They played music video after music video…But in all fairness, most of the music videos were a bland replay of the same old videos we’d seen a billion times the previous day. Undaunted,Kiss TV pressed on. Feeding us with a monotonous diet of a menu that we had savored months ago and had gotten sick of. That, however, didn’t stop the station from sticking to the same old repetitious routine. Or drowning us in a sea of boredom.

At some point,Kiss TV lost the plot completely. And in a bid to quite understand itself or why the hell it even existed in the first place, the Management, which I assume was as vapid as the music they’d been putting out, decided to introduce some local shows…and National News broadcasts in it’s retinue with quite an array of talent including Dennis Okari. And the disdainful,Ramah Nyang. And also some Jeff Koinange-esque talk show hosted by the genius,John-Sibi Okumu. Or JSO as they preferred to romanticize his name.

The “New Kiss” hit the ground running…doing odd news reports at hours as odd as 8pm. They’d read their bland news an hour after we had already watched it on other actual TV stations already or an hour before we would watch it on the other actual TV stations anyway. Epic fail. You DO NOT read news at 8pm. Not unless it Breaking News. Involving 45 terrorists.

News aside,Kiss TV plunged its little knackered neck into the murky Nigerian Movies waters…Filling our hallowed TV screens with the crappiest, blandest, flatest, most tedious and most lackluster Nigerian Movies. And this went on all day. For days. And days.

And as if their pestilential Nigerian Movie lineup wasn’t already suicidal,Kiss TV decided to go a notch higher and add more poison to its already toxic entertainment retinue by pouring in some VERNACULAR KENYAN MOVIES into the crappy mix! Dear Lord! Vernacular Kenyan Movies! Phew! The sun seemed to stop….for a minute.

To add to Your already bored days watching underscripted Nigerian flicks,You were also forced to contend with chickenshit Kikuyu movies. And Kalenjin Movies. And Kamba Movies. Luo,Kisii and Meru too. Phew!

That, like all other Kiss TV tricks, didn’t work. It couldn’t work, anyway. Nothing they tried ever did.

Undaunted,Kiss TV went a step further and, relying on its usually noxious advice, decided to,yet again, relaunch the station kicking away JSO and his 8.30pm talk-cum-sleep show and all of its baneful movie lineup.

The RE-BRANDING was hyped up to heaven and back. On all of its’ mother stations and social media and pretty much anywhere else You would be tempted to hype up the rebranding of a dying juggernaut.

And after months of keeping Kenyans waiting…For that paradisaical rebrand, the day came. 9th December,2013 to be precise. We had been promised bagfuls of apples and stars and cascading waters and glowing skies. Our appetite for a “New Kiss” had been soooo tapped at,they left us drooling at gasping for that big day.

The day, however wasn’t as big as we had expected. Save for a few graphics that bamboozled us and a couple catchy signature tunes that whiffed into us,the rebrand was a joke. Just like the station had always been, anyway. And Kenyans wasted no time in jumping to social media, especially that evil agent of consternation,Twitter,to air out their views. And,boy, the views were overwhelmingly NEGATIVE. As we reported HERE. Or as other people thought HERE.

And even when we asked readers what they thought of the Rebrand, here were the results. Still more negative reviews streamed in from almost all quarters.

Kiss TV had decided to go full throttle…And,considering that it was dead, anyway, decided to jump at and lurch on pretty much anything to keep it sailing. Talk of a drowning Man. From an array of shows to a feature on socialites to a segment on entertainment news to an assemblage of Old Western Artists’ concerts,Kiss TV had clutched at anything. And,essentially, ended up falling flat. As usual.

Unbowed, the noise went on. And it got worse with the arrival of one Angeline Wanjeri on our TV screens. With her irksome voice, garish fashion sense, vexatious laughter and indecorous dresses,Angeline further drove away masses from the station.

And then came some two scrawny boys yelling “ROROA” and that was it. Kiss TV had breathed its last. But Alas! The station wasn’t going anywhere…It decided to stay on. And rock on…And entertain nobody,as it always did.

And even with the much-touted rebrand, the lethargic “Total-request-Live” program was never quite axed. It stayed on…And,just like it has always been for the last 6 Years,we were still required to request a song. And watch a list of the “Coming Next” song…All of which were printed on a eye-repelling pink screen.

Kiss TV has, this Year alone, been ranked at Number 7,or bottom 3,of the Most Watched TV stations in Kenya.

And to show just how low it really ranked,Kiss TV was eclipsed by KBC(KBC!) AND Qtv as one of Kenya’s Most Watched TV stations. I was shocked to learn that MORE people watched KBC than watched Kiss TV.

ipsos tv2

But still, the Rebel refused to care. Or worry. Or change tact.

The rebel rocked on…Played on….And kept “entertaining” its ghostly pack of viewers.

Hail Kiss TV,The REBEL of Kenya’s Entertainment. And even though the station will never go anywhere, the station ain’t going anywhere!

Live with it! As You always have!

Alfred Mutua Throws Ken Wa Maria in Jail

Robert Alai wasn’t the only celebrity who was arrested yesterday; Ken Wa Maria too was a guest of the state.

Fundamentals hit maker, Ken Wa Maria, was yesterday arrested for demonstrating against Machakos Governor, Dr. Alfred Mutua. The musician and several other people who were leading a protest caravan against the governor were taken into custody by the police on the way to Machakos Town.

a.ken

Ken Wa Maria and others were protesting against what they termed “misappropriation” of funds by the governor. The ‘Okoa County Forum’ caravan had started its demonstration at Athi River and was making its way to Machakos town when it was confronted by the police.

Down is the press release Machakos County issued after the incident:

PRESS RELEASE

Today, Tuesday 16.12.2014 at about 2 pm, a group of rowdy and hired demonstrators have been arrested by the police and the County Inspectorate team for incitement, causing public disturbance and holding road shows without lawful cause.

The law enforcement agencies took steps to forestall instances of public disorder after peaceful Wananchi demanded protection from the Government. In order to avoid a clash between the majority peace loving Machakos County Citizens against a handful of hired goons, it was necessary to enforce the law to the letter.

The arrested are currently in Machakos Court and due process of the law will be followed.

The people of Machakos County will not accept bad politics and empty rhetoric designed to make them poor. Our people want development, jobs and wealth creation.

Heroine Away From Home: Prof. Wangari Mathai’s Statue Erected In US

She may have left us a few years ago but Prof. Wangari Maathai, the Nobel Peace Prize winner and environmentalist of all time left a memory that will always and almost forever linger on amidst us.

She endured difficult times to make Kenya and its environment a better place for us. She won the Nobel Prize, thanks to her exploits in the environment sector.

This perhaps is the reason why Maathai has continued to gain recognition in the world for her good work.

Her classmates in the 1960s have opted to erect a bronze statue of the late professor in Kansas City in America to honour the fallen heroine.

The statue will be to remember the noble work Maathai did while she was alive and encourage many more to pick from where she left.

Here is the statue:

So, Did Joey Muthengi Storm Out Of A Live Recording At Ebru Tv? Find Out Here

Two weeks ago there were allegations that popular Female media sensation Joey Muthengi had quit her job at Ebru Tv. The juicy story ran that she had actually stormed out of a live set in a flurry of skirts and a whiff of cologne during the recording of  “Sugar and Spice”

When I approached her for her comment on the same, she laughed it off before ending the conversation with the tell-tale “No comment” signalling that our discussion was long overdue. close sources had revealed that Joey had fallen out with the management at Ebru Tv.

Turns out that the second season of sugar and spice had been a wrap and Joey was focusing on other projects for next year.

When I called her yesterday to find her new plans now that the season was over, a vibrant Joey would laugh and tell me that she was still undecided because she had not signed any contract with Ebru Tv for season 3. So would she sign a contract if it came to that? Well,Where is that contract again?

But before we ended what was a laughter laced conversation, Joey did admit that there was an incident at Ebru Tv as had been reported earlier. So did she storm out of the studio? No comment!

Yesterday morning however the employees at Ebru took a moment to shoot Christmas special, Wyre graced the shoot, which explains the photo below

After Exposing Kenya’s Death Squads, Al Jazeera Now Shifts Its Attention to XYZ. See Why

Global news channel, Al Jazeera, has once again illuminated light on the country. This time round, XYZ show is their focus.

A few weeks ago, Al Jazeera caused tantrums in the country when they released their controversial investigative piece. Even before the dust could settle on their exposé, Al Jazeera shifted their attention to Kenya again.

Al Jazeera’s exposé elicited criticism from the government and a portion of Kenyan population. This time round, they (Al Jazeera) have decided to “praise” the country. Al Jazeera featured Buni TV’s XYZ show in its segment; Innovative Africa.

The segment shows how Africans are taking the reigns in the gaming industry and music distribution while using TV to explore political satire. XYZ show attracted Al Jaazera because of its creative use of puppets to deal with some of Africa’s most pressing issues and poke fun at everyone across the continent.

Another Senator Involved In An Accident, Prompting Calls For Senate Prayers Day

This year seems to have gone from bad to worse for a number of senators after they were involved in a series of accidents.

The latest senator to be involved in an accident is nominated senator Martha daWangari who had her damaged as she tried to avoid hitting a zebra that was crossing the road she was driving on.

Semator Wangari has now called for Senate prayers to cast away the bad omen befalling senators in the country.

Late last week, Kisii county Senator Chris Obure narrowly escaped death as his car veered off the road and rolled several times in Limuru.

Homabay county senatorial aspirants and brothers to the late Otieno Kajwang were also involved in a road accident along the Narok-Kisii highway as they drove to Homabay to campaign for the vacant seat left by Otieno Kajwang, who, before his death, had been involved in accident along the Sondu-Oyugis road in Homabay.

This and many others are some of the examples that have prompted the latest victim of the raod accidents to call for senate prayers to ask for protection for the senators.

This is how Senator Wangari’s car looked like after the accident and here is the message she tweeted:

Here is The Cell That Was Robert Alai’s Bedroom Last Night (Photos)

Whistle blower Robert Alai rubbed the government the wrong way, his action made him be a guest of the state last night.

Robert Alai was arrested yesterday for allegedly sharing president Uhuru’s contact or for calling the president’s project in Kibera “Kalongolongo” (the police haven’t disclosed what they are charging Alai for)

Earlier, Ndegwa Muhuro had allegedly ordered Alai to be arrested for sharing the president’s contacts publicly but Alai wrote on twitter he was being charged for his “Kalongolongo” sentiment.

Early today, Alai (or however is managing his official Facebook and Twitter accounts) shared photos of his cell.
