TV Siren Jumps To The Defense Of Julie Gichuru After KOT Got To Her Neck For What She Did To Governor Evans Kidero

Poor Julie Gichuru is the talk in town this cold Monday morning thanks to what she did last evening on her Sunday Live show.

Julie hosted controversial Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero who has been in the centre of controversy following allegations that he siphoned cash while he was the MD of Mumias Sugar Company, leaving the giant sugar manufacturer on its knees before he went on to win the Nairobi gubernatorial seat.

Many speakers at a rally in Western Kenya the other day where President Uhuru gave a cheque worth 1 billion to revamp the industry accused Kidero of corruption.

The Nairobi Governor has since defended himself, challenging those with evidence to go to court and have him prosecuted.

And this is the reason Julie Gichuru hosted Kidero on her show to shed light on the controversial matter.

But as things turned out, Julie is on the receiving end of a backlash from angry Kenyans on twitter who have roasted her for what they believe is lenience to the governor and a motive to cover up corruption acts.

The lynch started from activist Boniface Mwangi who told Julie that her father-in-law is a billionaire thief. Kenyans joined in and threw bitter words at the TV queen.

Sauti Sol Fails To Win The Coveted BET Award. All The Bigwigs In Their Category Lost Too. Guess Which D-List Artist Won? (See Full List Of All Winners)

An underdog outmaneuvered continental heavyweights to bag the prestigious BET Award; Best International Act: Africa

Last night, international artists and fans gathered the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California to witness musicians getting feted.

To Kenyans, other categories weren’t of much interest like Best International Act: Africa. It’s in that category that our boys Sauti Sol was nominated.

They were pitted against; AKA (South Africa), Sarkodie (Ghana), Fally Ipupa (DRC), The Soil (South Africa), Yemi Alade (Nigeria) and… Stonebwoy (Ghana).

This Is What Sauti Sol Did To Help The Family Of The Slain Kenyan Woman In The US Whose Murder Petrified The Nation (Photo)

Last week, the country woke up to sad news about a Kenyan woman and her baby being stabbed to death in Anaheim, California.

American news had it that 24-year-old Kwame Carpenter had stabbed his Kenyan girlfriend, Maureen Wanjiku and her baby to death following unresolved quarrels.

The incident sparked a heated conversation on the internet with lots of Kenyans questioning the safety of their compatriots in diaspora.

Sauti Sol has also raised their voice regarding the same. The quartet is currently in the US for official visit.

They used their influence on social media to marshal Kenyans to contribute to the family of the bereaved. Below is what they wrote:

On a sad note : We would like to join our country Kenya and the Kenyan community in diaspora in mourning the sudden demise of our own in very horrifying domestic homicide.

Victor Wanyama has always tried to dodge controversy by all mean possible. Since the days when it was rumours he was squeezing sizzling singer Victoria Kimani, the Southhampton midfielder has always concentrated on his game.

But no one, on this earth, will ever live without controversy rocking his life at some point. It must come whether you like it or yes. It only depends on how prepared you are.

Now Wanyama is so ashamed after being caught off guard wearing a T-shirt bearing a controversial symbol, a symbol that goes against all humanity and its tenets.

Everybody was taken aback when Wanyama’s photo in the T-shirt emerged, and some even took their time to warn him against such actions.

Wanyama now admits he was too ignorant to know what exactly he was wearing the other. Through his twitter account, the footballer has tendered a heartfelt apology, admitting his naivety and ignorance and asking everyone to forgive him for his actions.

He said:

The Kenyan DJ Nonsense! And Why These People MUST Pay To Play Kenyan Music. Na Sio Tafadhali!

I have followed this whole Kenyan DJs versus Kenyan artistes brouhaha on Twitter quite intensely…No one,to me,seems to make sense. Not the least the many hordes of clueless Kenyan Twitter users most of whom are a bunch of know-nothing bimbos with a Smartphone and  an insatious desire to be noticed.

The whole madness was occasioned by a little announcement that was made by the managers of Performers Rights Society Of Kenya (PRiSK) and the Kenya Association of Music Producers (Kamp).

Now,just so we can clear murky things up, PRISK is a non- profit organization licensed by Kenya Copyright board under Gazette notice 12322 of 2009. Kamp, too,is a music authority organization licensed by the same board to conduct Art-related business in Kenya.

So,these are not some dubious,River Road organizations run by some equally dubious,River Road thieving types.

What was the announcement? That EVERY DJ who plays Kenyan Music to the public is expected to pay as little as-And I repeat,as little as-Ksh.15,000 per Year to these bodies as part of their contribution to the revenue that later translated to Royalties for these hardworking but poorly remunerated musicians.

What followed? A chorus of dumb altercations, Twitter pandemonium, bitter Social Media exchanges and the growth of hundreds of clueless Twitter pontificates. Oh,even artistes we long forgot existed crawled from the little caves they hid in to offer an opinion. Or two.

What I particularly found absurd, however,is that Kenyan DJs,a lot that makes Millions per month-or Year, depending on who you are-were the first to SAY NO to the measly Ksh.15,000 annual charge and also the first to say that they were boycotting Kenyan music if they had to pay to Play it.

B*tches,Please!

This same bunch of greedy gobblers would also go ahead and claim that they cannot be expected to PAY Kenyan artistes for playing their music since,by the mere virtue of playing a Kenyan artistes’ song, they were ‘Supporting the Artists’ and therefore,You cannot charge someone to support You.

Bullcrap!

Let’s first look at the annual fee they have been asked for? Ksh.15,000. Yes,Just that. A figure so little they probably use that to party ALMOST every weekend in the hedonistic Clubs they play in and boisterously patronize.

Most Kenyan DJs are filthy rich millionaires who have gigs ALMOST every weekend . And if You are lucky, even 3 or 4 gigs on ONE weekend.

How much does an average Kenyan DJ make per gig? Let’s NOT be stupid here,They make as much as Ksh.30,000. Or more. And on a good day? Ksh.80,000 per gig. And if You’re really big? Ksh.100,000-500,000.

And now, these are the same people pained enough to pay as little as Ksh.15,000 to a Music Board for purposes of supporting the same artistes they are playing!

They claim to be ‘supporting Kenyan artists’ by playing their music? Oh,really? Isn’t agreeing to pay money meant for the same artistes Royalties the greatest way to Support someone? Anyway?

What stupid use is there of airplay support if the same artiste remains poor and penniless throughout the year? Who wants cheap,DJ deck support that won’t bring food to their tables?

Wanna show REAL support? Well, line the pockets of these artistes with MONEY! Not a silly,3 –second scratch in the dinghy clubs you play in.

Point Number two,If You claim to be ‘supporting Kenyan artistes’ by playing their songs,so what are You doing by playing Nigerian Music? American Music? Ghanaian Music? Jamaican Riddims? Are you still supporting these super-successful foreigners? Oh,You wish!

There is one thing YOU MUST KNOW…That by playing Kenyan Music,You are DOING NO FAVOR to the average Kenyan artiste. No. No freaking favor. One other thing you must remember,You are not gods… Or Kingmakers who get to decide who makes it big. And who doesn’t.

The life of this Industry DOES NOT depend on You. The survival of this Industry is NOT pegged on You. And NO,you are not the saviors of Kenyan Music. You’ve done so little for it,anyway.

According to the law,If you own a premise where sound/visual recording works are made to the public, then you require a license.

And Under the Copyright Act, a performer has the exclusive right to:

  • broadcast his performance except where the broadcast is made from a fixation of the performance authorized by the performer;
  • communicate to the public his performance except where the communication is made from a fixation of the performance or from broadcast of the performance authorized by the performer;
make a fixation of a previously unfixed performance; and
  • reproduce a fixation of the performance in either where the performance was initially fixed without the authorization of the performer or where the reproduction is made for purposes different from those for which the performer gave his authorization.
  • rent for commercial purposes to the public, the original and copies of their fixed performances.
distribution of a fixation of his performance or copies thereof, to the public.
  • the making available to the public of his fixed performance, by wire or wireless means in such a way that members of the public may access them from a place or a time individually chosen by them.
  • Further a performer has the right to equitable remuneration for use of sound recordings and audio visual works

Now,look at the last part of that lengthy statement,it states, very clearly,in case there is a dumb DJ reading this, and I know there are quite a number, that,

  • Further a performer has the right to equitable remuneration for use of sound recordings and audio visual works

Therefore it is absolute foolhardy to imagine that You can play music publicly, for masses of people, and NOT remunerate the person who went into a studio, worked hard, composed that song, recorded it with the little funds they had, packaged it and provided it to the public.

For such a person to reap the fruits of their hardwork, for that artist to finally live as good as he hoped he would after producing that song,THEN EVERYONE who plays Kenyan Music in Public MUST Pay to have that music played.

Music, just like mobile phones and cars and laptops and alcohol are products. If you pay for beer, pay for the cozy chairs you sit on in your homes, pay for your ritzy smartphones and your swanky Plasma TVs,why wouldn’t you pay for music? Which, too,is a product? That took money to produce?

And what is Ksh.15,000 to a bunch of people who make as much as a million shillings per month?? Per month!!??

What is Ksh.15,000 to a bunch of spinmasters who have TV shows and endless Club gigs per month and who make as much as 0.5 Million on a good month?? What is Ksh.15,000?? Tell me?? Is that even money!!?

But these same DJs,this same clique of sneaky smart heads, will continue LYING to You that they are supporting You by playing your music while,in real sense, all they are doing is lining their pockets, fattening their bank accounts further, living even larger, buying even bigger cars and getting even better deals while all you do is idly sit at home and clap because they played your song.

Who wants support that lasts lesser than an average orgasm, anyway?

They wanna boycott you? Heck,You can Boycott them too! And I’ll tell You how in my next article.

I ain’t trying to start a fight here…But someone who supports you by keeping you poor is an ENEMY. Not a friend. You don’t need them. Or their bullshit!

And let’s face it,most of the Kenyan DJs belong to a rapacious ,capitalist clique whose greatest contribution to society is herpes, runaway drug abuse and wanton womanizing.

I believe there are GOOD DJs in Kenya. And that is good…

But Kenyan artistes MUST NOT be held hostage by people whose play list is of full of the Chris Browns and the Davidos and the Wizkids and the Rihannas.

And who doesn’t know that most of our DJs shamelessly charge struggling artistes to have their music played on TV? Or in a Club? Yes,they do. Ask Eko Dydda.

What greater crimes against humanity are there than for a Millionaire DJ with a car bigger than your house,17 girlfriends in 17 different Counties and a belly that can safely hide 14 terrorists to charge you, little struggling artiste to play your music?

Why would a DJ who makes as much as Ksh.250,000 a month from all his combined gigs(TV,Club,Concerts) charge some 2,000 bob from a young, scrawny rapper from Eastlands to have their song played? What utter greed! Shameless greed!

And what support are these clowns even talking about? For every one Kenyan song they play, they play around 30 foreign songs. And then another one Kenyan song. And then another 30 Jamaican songs.

Oh,that is the support we are talking about?

How cute! How very cute!

Someone bring me a bucket…I really wanna puke!

Singer Jaguar is more known for philanthropy, deep pockets,State House connections, busy schedules, appointments to Boards he probably knew nothing about and, eeer, beef? With Prezzo? Ringtone?

But who knew that Jaguar, besides the busy musical kingpin he is,would be so sweet? Especially to his own little daughter? Infact, who knew Jaguar had a daughter!??

I mean,he doesnt make it so obvious he has one on Social Media like some celebrity tu-parents are so known for.

Anyway, anyway,Jaguar has now decided to remind YOU he has a daughter. And not just that, but also that he does take that daughter out on trips…Daughter-ish trips, though.

Gor Mahia Fans Litter The Streets Of Nairobi With Noise,Music,Vuvuzelas And Huge,Loud Buses (Photos)

There is a match going down today at The famous Afraha Stadium in Nakuru. The players? Well,Gor Mahia and Chemelil Sugar. What does that generally mean? Well, Absolute Disturbance of Peace. Absolute.

Trust Gor Mahia to totally and unashamedly disturb peace to the highest levels possible. Ok,not Gor Mahia the team. Maybe the fans…Most of whom are usually a very rowdy, loud lot with little or no regard for social cohesiveness and general serenity.

And today,in keeping up with their dubious tradition, these flamboyant fans of one of Kenya’s oldest and most storied football clubs descended onto the streets of Nairobi…In style. A style that ONLY they can muster. And pull of.

Decked out in their signature green and white team costumes, hundreds of Gor Mahia fans have been spotted early this morning all across the City streets…Either riding in long, loud buses-hanging by the windows and doors as usual,or simply walking around the streets and for some others, even sitting down by the Nairobi streets pavements, blowing ear-splitting Vuvuzelas like crazed maniacs.

Destination? Nakuru. And isn’t that a relief! Phew!

All across the City, huge truckloads of buses were seen-especially on Moi Avenue-hooting loudly and being driven recklessly enroute Nakuru. The fans were-and still are- hanging precariously by the windows and bus doors and as usual, making sure that they don’t just hang, but hang in style-screaming,shouting,singing,taunting bystanders and generally making the typical ruckus normally expected from a buoyant Gor Mahia entourage.

Thankfully, they are NOT playing around the City. Not even around the City environs.

Nakuru people,Oh what a busy day you folks will have. Busy, raucous night.

Sorry…in advance.

A Big Night Out…at The Best Night Club Ever!

I’m convinced everyone that exists in Nairobi likes clubbing! Have you seen how souls flock clubs everyday,  ata Monday! The other day I was walking in tao with a colleague and we had a debate as to whether clubs actually make profit on a Monday, so we did a simple head count on a club that’s across our office, it was 8pm, and there were 15pple! That did it for me, we are a clubbing lot.

Some clubs though I find despicable, the stinking crotch sweat is in your face cause they it’s crapped to even breath in the humid air. But then again, that’s just me, the claustrophobic me.

So yesternight doing my usual raving night, me and my crew decided to hop to Natives Bar, they had a ‘Showdown Friday’ night that I had advertised, so I went to see what’s kicking at this place. And I must say I was thoroughly impressed! What I liked about is is the ample space! We don’t have to cramp each other’s personal space, very vital to me. Then Dj Edu Mkare and his counterpart Dj Mista T brought the house down, spinning the latest and some favorites of mine.

Long story short, we ended up staying at Natives till wee hours of today morning.

I had a discussion with one of the managers, apparently tonight they also will be having another party. The party shall be dedicated to Cancer & Leo’s. Cancer & Leo happens to be astrology signs. And who will be on the decks? Dj Edu Mkare! (I would hook up with that nigger cause of his spinning skills) alongside him will be Dj Steno.

Didn’t have plans to turn up, but that just changed. So I hope to see y’all there, cause imma be there! Party starts at 9pm

Gospel Singer Ringtone Follows In Jaguar’s Footsteps And Acquires A Range Rover

Ringtone once said that he would fast so that he could acquire a Range Rover as sleek as Jaguar’s

But instead of being flattered by this declaration; Jaguar said “I wonder when I hear somebody saying he is fasting to buy a Range Rover model similar to mine. What I can say is, it takes hard work and patience to raise the money to buy such a car, fasting alone is not enough.”

But according to Pulse Magazine, his prayer has paid off as he has already imported a new Range Rover just like the one he desired. One that is an exact replica of Jaguar’s ritzy ride

jaguar_range.jpg
“Since you can’t argue with results I decided not to answer back when my friend Jaguar wondered how I could afford a Range Rover through fasting. However, I truly understand him as some things are just personal. This is between me and God.” he says.
He further disclosed that he would soon be relocating to the leafy suburb of Karen, where he is already building a house.

Chris Kirubi Offers Unwavering Support To DJs In Their Crazy Quest That Has Made Twitter Flame Up

This is now turning out to be ugly! As battle lines are being drawn in the war between musicians and mix doctors, people are now choosing sides. The war is on ladies and gentlemen!

DJs and musicians are currently locked in a fierce brawl that has spilled over to the social media causing the general public to be sucked right into the centre of it.

But how did the tussle start? Kenya Association of Music Producers (KAMP) and Performers Rights Society of Kenya (PRISK) came out to announce that DJs were required to pay an annual fee of Kes 15,000 for playing local music.

The new announcement ruffled DJ’s feathers prompting them to declare they were going to sabotage Kenyan music.

Their threats were so serious that the tag #LetsSaveKenyanMusic was started in a bid to water down their crazy quest.

Billionaire Chris Kirubi has since joined the war to fight along the whining DJs. He is using his influence on twitter to drum up support for the tag #DJsUnited4Music.

Enter Cosmic Homies, The Group Some Camp Mullah Remnants Formed After Breaking Up. Their Kind of Music Will Leave You With a lot of Questions

A random Internet dictionary defines Cosmic as “of, relating to, or concerned with abstract spiritual or metaphysical ideas“. The source further defines “homie” as “an acquaintance from one’s town or neighborhood, or a member of one’s peer group or gang”  Therefore cosmic homies would me interprated to mean “Acquaintances  who subscribe to abstract spiritual or metaphysical ideas. Where I’m I going on with this? You ask? Stick around..

Camp Mullah broke up  in 2013 becoming one of the most talked about musical split-ups of all time. They left behind a trail of broken hearts and unfulfilled dreams. But that has not been all, thee MC Africa, Taio Tripper (one of the baddest rappers in the 254) and Miss Karun found each other after two years of separation, together with Marushka & Joseph Kiwango (new entrants) they formed the group “Cosmic Homies”- with  plans to expand the current perception of a musical ‘genre,’ the current perception of ‘life on Earth’ and of Consciousness itself.

The cosmic homies is therefore  a meet of  4 artists seeking a higher form of transcendence(existence or experience beyond the normal or physical level)  through music. They are no longer the camp mulla of the old but a new band of complex individuals  exploring their musical freedom by exploring musical realms that no one has ventured into before .

The Kenyan market might not be ready for this “enlightened genre”  but it is something worth listening to, it is slow, confounding but strangely soothing..

Listen to this:

Camp mullah might be no more, but the new band is worth  listening to, for those who want to experience music beyond the physical realm- Music for the  hippies and geeks.

REVEALED! Anxiety And Tension Engulf Standard Media Group As Mass Retrenchment Looms In The Air

Exclusive reports from a highly guarded source indicate that the Standard Media Group,a company that runs and owns Kenyas oldest premier television, Radio Maisha

and the standard newspaper is in the final stage of sacking its employees in what the C.E.O Sam Shollei described today as a Voluntary Early Retrenchment.

In a leaked internal memo(attached therein), signed by the company’s Chief Executive Officer the unionisable employees from all departments have been asked to either opt for a voluntary early requirement and get a two months gross salary or go home empty handed on 20th July when the offer shall expire, a day they will officially be sent home.

We are reliably informed that things are so thick and murky at the Mombasa-road based media house that the Head of Human Resource Pauline Kiraithe had to be called back from her 3 month maternity leave to attend an impromptu departmental heads meeting in which every head of department presented a list of people who are likely to be laid off.

It is not clear why the company has resorted to this painful decision, however it is rumored that the company has been on the downward trend since the onset of digital migration which has cut into the company’s profits.

According to one of the studio technical operator s who insists on maintaining anonymity,80% of the TV guys are on two year renewable contracts something he fears might make it hard for them to get the retirement package as they are not in any professional body. The print section is not to be spared as well with many employees also set to face the wrath of unemployment.

This comes barely a month after the company unveiled plans of launching a second television station. Quite ironic I must say considering they sent home the HapaKule cast the same month they made the announcement.

Shappaman Used To Beat KusMa Like A ‘Burukenge’: Former Camp Mulla Member Confesses

When people live together for a long time, emotions run high and people lock horns. Sometimes these altercations escalate badly and people cannot go back to what they once were and sometimes they get over it and move on.

Relationships become even more strained when external forces come in things get a little crazy.

Camp Mulla is no different. Taio Tripper gives as a peek into some of the fights that went on in Camp Mulla after the pressure got to them. The fights were so brutal especially between Shappaman and Kus Ma that KusMa was left with grave injuries.

Friends turned foes? Benoit and K’cous

“Marcus(K’ Cous/Kus Ma)and Benoit (Shappaman) were like brothers and they lived with each other and they were fighting. Like go out one night and Marcus has a bruised eye and it’s from Benoit. It was brotherly but like… there were just too many weird things coming up, which made people wake up to like.. WTF is going on… There was still Love. But just… intense energy.” he says.

After A Goat In Nyeri Gave Birth To A Human-like Kid, Another Toe-Curling Incident of Goat Rape Makes Headlines (Photo)

It seems ladies are giving men a hard time in as far as courtship is concerned or rather it’s men who are finding animals to be better lovers than their human counterparts!

Incidents of bestiality have been on the rise. Men are now devouring animals at an alarming rate. Could it be because ladies have become mean at spreading legs?

Yesterday, folks were left holding their cheeks in astonishment after a Nyeri goat gave birth to a human-like kid.

Now another incident of man ferociously penetrating a goat has driven the social media into a wild frenzy.

BBC Africa reported the gut-wrenching occurrence and the comments that followed were massive. Kenya and Africans in general dashed to the comment section to air their voice.

Well, it was relief on the part of Kenya since it was a South African man who decided to rape a goat this time round.

The knucklehead did his thing and after he was done, he strangled the poor goat, perhaps in fear that it would have tell on him.

Rich People’s Problems! Former Camp Mulla Member Utterly Shocks Many With His Unfathomable Action. Guess What He Did?

Camp Mulla was once the hottest group in the country. They reigned supreme during their heydays forcing other artists to stand aside and watch in admiration.

But they disappeared from the limelight within a snap of the finger just like they sprung up unannounced to dominate headlines.

Their unresolved brawl was the reason why they parted ways, each member opting to explore new waters on their own.

But where did they go? Taio Tripper in particular is the person of interest for this article. An American writer caught up with him to shed light on the circumstances led to their painful breakup.

Taio’s revelation has left many utterly baffled. One particular thing he did has however left many mouths agape.

After the dissolution of Camp Mulla, Matthew Wakhungu better known as Taio Tripper enrolled himself back to school at USIU.

He didn’t stay there for long though. He dropped out. Perhaps he failed to pay fees or maybe he failed in his exams or much better, he was caught doing drugs! No, none of the mentioned reasons made Taio quit school.

Matthew didn’t ditch school because of ‘normal’ things that make students turn their backs on institutions of higher learning. He left USIU because he was being treated like a celebrity!

Yes, as crazy as it sounds, that was his reason. He says he didn’t like ‘extra treatment’ he was being accorded.

Since his fellow students and some lectures couldn’t stop treating him like a celebrity, he opted to go his way.

Only a child of a millionaire can afford to do that, hustlers kids are not dumb enough to try such kind of bull S**t. Sema ugonjwa za watoto wa matajiri!!!

And Now a Praise Chant for Gor Mahia… They & There Ruckus Are to be Awarded

In February 2015, wise and intelligent people came up with the idea of recognizing common citizen. The real people who do the tiring work day in day out only to contribute to the fattening of MPs wallets.

It began as a challenge, but is really growing. I find it a very good initiative to honor the people on the ground, rarely or rather, never are they honored.

So Hoodie Awards was born. It strives to celebrate the best of the ‘hood — the ordinary folk instead of A-list stars every day people finally get their time in the spotlight.

The awards will be recognizing the guys who have put their influential stamp on the city and who have made it become such an iconic place to be year on year. So think of Hotel, Bar, Online mall, blogs, esto’s…etc

So, the following people have been nominated, excuse the screen shot but for a better view follow the link; http://www.hoodieawards.co.ke/ and please do vote.

Voting closes on mid night Friday 28th August 2015. Please share and encourage your friends on social media to do the same.

Bobby Mapesa Attempts To Find Love On Tujuane

Colonel Mustapha once made his way to Tujuane in one of the most spellbinding Tujuane episodes ever and now Tujuane had decided to bring in another celebrity to zing things up, Bobby Mapesa.

This week’s Tujuane is billed to be interesting as the ‘Kamoja Tu’ crooner will be on the show not with one date but two.

From the snippet, this could be riveting as he takes one girl to a Kibanda in the name of ‘swag’ while the other on is told ‘ako na haga fiti’. This promises to be an interesting episode, I mean what do you expect from a crooner  known for one-liners like ‘Kamoja tu, sitakaa’ and ‘ka ushaweka mkono kwa pori ‘si unajua jo kutoa ni ngori’?

Crossing Borders! Kayole’s Khaligraph Jones Now Giving Busta Rhymes A Run For His Money

This may be bad news to Octopizzo, Khaligraph’s sworn enemy; Kayole’s finest and American’s rapper, Busta Rhymes, are now sailing in the same boat.

Who is the finest rapper in the 254? There shall never be a satisfying answer to that question. Every rapper claims to have the dopiest vibes.

Currently only two dominate showbiz, Octopizzo and Khaligraph, archenemies. And they both claim to be on top of the game.

Khaligraph has dropped what has actually spiraled him to far greater height than before. Perhaps even to gain an edge over his nemesis.

The moment Khaligraph’s ‘I Am The King’ hit airways, one rapper crossed many people’s minds; Busta Rhymes. But why so?

Khaligraph has now tailored his vibes to sound like those of the American rapper.

Busta Rhymes is best known for his intricate rapping technique, which involves rapping at a fast rate with a lot of internal rhyme and half rhyme.

Khaligraph used the same technique in his new song and he nailed it, PERFECT job!!!

Enough of beating the drum for Kayole’s finest, sample ‘I Am The King’ for yourselves:

“Murimi Wa Kahalf’s Stomach Swelled Like An Inflated Balloon Before His Strange Death.” Mother Narrates Son’s Last Minutes Ordeal

More gut-wrenching details are emerging from the death of popular vernacular singer, Murimi WaKahalf.

The singer died early this month under strange circumstances. The storm is yet to settle on his death as more disturbing details keep on popping.

Speaking to the Nairobian, Murimi’s mother narrated her son’s last minutes before he gasped the last breathe.

After spending more than Kes 1 million seeking treatment from hospitals, Murimi urged his mother to take him to Igembe North in Meru County to see witchdoctors.

The mother says his ill son pleaded with her a million times to take him to Meru claiming that he was hearing summons from witchdoctors who wanted to meet him.

Bulging to his request, the mother took his son to meet the healers who demanded Kes 10,000 to reverse the spell that has caused Murimi to fall ill.

They gave the sickly Wakahalf pieces of meat and soup which turned out to be what catalyzed the pain he was experiencing.

The mother says his son started experiencing severe stomach ache while they were going back home. His belly had got big like an inflated balloon by midnight.

Wa Kalf’s mom says the son screamed endlessly in pain urging them to pierce his bloated stomach with a knife.

The singer died on arrival at St Francis Hospital, Kasarani where he was rushed to. The mother says Wa Kahalf had asked for water to drink and upon gulping it down, his stomach deflated.

He died seconds after taking the water. Prior to his death, the singer had requested his mother and his wife, Pastor Zaweriah Wang’ombe, to live peacefully for the sake of his 9-year-old daughter.
