Everybody is talking about Tamara. The pretty daughter of the ‘Huu Mwaka’ hit maker has received media attention following the celebration of her big day the previous day.

Baby Tamara yesterday celebrated her 4^th birthday in style. The dad threw her the first party at her school and another one at home.

The youngster was brought her birthday cake at school and she made sure all her classmates got a slice of the pink cake.

Jaguar couldn’t hide his joy. He says baby Tamara is one of the greatest gifts the good Lord has given him.

“My little princess turned 4 yrs today and she is one of greatest gifts i ever had and came from God…happy birthday Tamara.”

In early August, we received information that one of the longest serving, not forgetting most popular news anchors Mwanaisha Chidzuga had been fired.

Mwanaisha was said to be one of the high-profile employees who had been sent home during Standard Group’s infamous massive retrenchment.

According to a reliable source, the elegant news anchor was fired as she made her way to the set of her new show ‘Maisha na Isha’ .She then allegedly left her guests stranded when she was handed the dreaded ‘redundancy’ letter.

Mwanaisha has remained tight-lipped about the whole issue and there have been rumors that the soft spoken news anchor was suing standard for the rude firing.

After about two months of silence, Mwanaisha disclosed to us that she had not been fired but quit on her own.

“I wasn’t fired I retired and I am now concentrating on my hospitality business.” she said

Nairobi has gained a reputation as the economic hub of East Africa and the city where dreams come true.

It also boasts of the world’s only game reserve within a major city; the Nairobi National Park which is home to four of the ‘Big Five’ i.e. lions, leopards, buffalo and rhinos.

The story of Ruth Njoki went viral after the founder of Okoa Dada, Diana Okello, highlighted her case on social media as she called for justice and an end to gender based violence.

Ruth has been going through hell in her marriage. She got married to Alphonse Kambu, a Papua New Guinea national who works with UNEP in Gigiri.

For starters, Papua New Guinea is a country in South East Asia whose majority population comprises of black people, descendants from Africa.

Back to Alphonse Kambu, the Papua New Guinean has been battering his Kenyan wife left right center and this time round his evil acts caught the attentions of the whole country.

Kambu and his wife have been entangled in a court battle over the custody of their son ever since they separated in 2012.

Ruth says the court ruled in her favor and ever since her baby daddy has been trying to bribe her to handover the custody of their son.

The Kenyan woman was beaten senseless last Sunday when Kambu dropped off his son at Ruth’s place after they had both attended a birthday party.

Ruth claims the husband started fracas when he demanded food which wasn’t immediately available. He descended on her with kicks, blows and smashed her against the wall leaving her helpless.

The Kenyan lady managed to free herself from her attacker and opened the door to let in neighbors who rescued her.

The battered lady explains Sunday’s beating was only a tip of the iceberg. She says Kambu had made it a habit of turning her body into a punching bag.

She says she had reported him to the police but since the Papua New Guinean enjoys immunity from local prosecution, the law couldn’t take its course.

Jackline Nyaminde,mostly known for her Wilbroda character in Papa Shirandula television series recently opened up that being a single mother has a lot of challenges. She claims that single mothers are sometimes isolated because society thinks children should be brought up by both parents.

The Kalasha award winner of 2013  also says its very hard  for a lady to bring up a man on her own because there are certain things only a man can tell a man. “Sometimes you might be having a burning issue that u want to tell your son but being a woman it becomes very hard to put your point across because you are  really not sure of the reaction.”The Citizen television actress further stated. She further highlighted that single mothers should not be blamed because sometimes its not their choice to be single just that life sometimes puts them in that predicament.

Popular gospel singer ,Linet Munyali famously known as size 8 has come out to that pregnancy is taking its toll on her as days draw closer to delivery. Speaking through one of her social media pages, she claims that things are not getting any better, she has lost her appetite and her body is not the same again.

In celebration of African music and culture, the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in league with the Africa Union Commission (AUC) has announced AFRIMA 2015 nominees.

And the multiple award-winning male choral group from South Africa, Ladysmith Black Mambazo to lead the invasion of over one hundred and sixty two (162) African superstars who have confirmed attendance to the 2015 AFRIMA Awards slated for Sunday, November 15 at Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Ladysmith is arguably the most decorated male group in Africa, having won multiple awards including four Grammys in 1988, 2004, 2009 and 2013 respectively. Formed by Joseph Shabalala in 1960, the group had been singing together since the early 1950s. However, it was Ladysmith Black Mambazo’s collaboration with Paul Simon in 1986 for the Graceland album that brought it the much needed international acclaim.

Confirming their performance at AFRIMA Awards, band’s manager, Majozi Christopher Zolisile, stated: “AFRIMA 2015 will be staged in November which coincidentally is the month for Ladysmith Black Mambazo’s 55th anniversary. Other artistes billed to perform at the award ceremony include Yemi Alade from Nigeria, who broke records with her hit single, ‘Johnny’ in 2013. Her counterpart from Cameroon, Charlotte Dipanda, an Afro pop singer, who has worked with Congolese singer, Papa Wemba and provided background vocals for Manu Dibango,  Rokia Traore and Axelle Red will also grace the AFRIMA stage. The duo of Diamond Platnumz, a Bongo Flava recording artist and dancer from Tanzania and Olamide from Nigeria will set the stage on fire at the AFRIMA 2015. Both have won numerous awards.
