Lonah Chemtai went to Israel 8 years ago and has since fallen in love with the tiny Middle Eastern nation thanks to Dan Salpeter who stole her heart.
The Kenyan lady first flew to Israel as a maid to Kenyan Ambassador to Israel. Her passion for running saw her meet Dan Salpeter and their meeting was the turning point of her life.
She returned to Kenya after her stint working for the Kenyan ambassador ended. Lonah was in love with Dan who had become her coach.
The two got married in Kenya before returning to live in Israel. Lonah has been battling the Israeli government to grant her citizenship.
Even after siring a one year old child with Dan, Israeli authorities were still reluctant to issue her with citizenship.
Lonah’s relief however came this year when she won Tel Aviv Marathon in February breaking the qualification time for the Olympics in the process.
Israeli government discovered no female Israeli marathon runners was fast enough to meet the Olympic standard and granting Lonah citizenship means the Kenyan athlete could represent the Jewish state in 2016 Rio Olympic which is just 17 months away.
Israeli media highlighted the case of Lonah and the country’s Interior Minister Aryeh Deri promised to hasten the process of granting Lonah Israeli citizenship.

The church run by Bishop Allan Kiuna and his wife Rev. Kathy Kiuna has invited Bishop Marvin Winans and Bishop Donnie McCLurkin. The two will be performing tonight at the event dubbed ‘One Night With Marvin Winan’ at the church’s Parklands branch.

Sleepy David has just found out pretty much the hard way that most Nairobian ladies are social climbers.
The Churchill Show comedian and events MC had taken the lady out for a date at some posh city club where Sauti Sol also frequent. Upon getting to the club and noticing Bien, the comedian and his date went ahead for greeting and introductions and it was at this point that the lady became so smitten.
As the boys band group left the club, left Sleepy David in the club and ran after them and hassled Bien for his number which the singer would not give out of loyalty to Sleepy David. However, the lady would not relent and when they had gone she came back and began asking Sleepy David for Bien’s number.
At this point the comedian had had enough and decided to leave the lady in the club. Speaking about the incident on their social media page, Bien said ‘“I was in the club minding my own business when Sleepy David came in with a girl.
The girl became star-struck…So when I was leaving (the club), I went to tell them that I’m off and the chick started following me out! That’s when Sleep David started asking, ‘Babe, why are you doing this to me?’

Speaking to Drum Magazine Vanessa said this about the ‘controversial’ dress made by Russian designer Galia Lahav.
“I am not a pastor and I am young. The dress was actually not so risqué-the areas people think were exposed actually had material. It is just an illusion. I do not understand why people were so offended. If my dad was a lawyer, a doctor, or politician would they have talked about me that way? My dress was very appropriate and everything that needed to be covered was covered. Even my parents thought it was really beautiful.” She disclosed.
Her Slovakian husband also agrees with her saying “I thought it was very beautiful too. Vanessa looked very stunning in it.”

A female Nigerian doctor took to Facebook to expose her father whom she says he ‘abducted’ her husband for marrying her without his consent.
Dr. Nono Orji says she introduced her sweetheart Ugo Madugba to her parents but they didn’t accept him as their would-be son-in-law.
Nono’s parents wanted their daughter to get married to one Stanley Amaefule. The lady however disregarded her parents’ advice and went on to get married to Ugo secretly.
Nono’s father used his influence to get her daughter’s husband arrested upon learning she had gotten married to the man he didn’t want.
The doctor has been crying on Facebook since yesterday narrating how her evil father has conspired to deprive her of her love.
My parents have been with my certificates since August 2015. Now they have my husband in the cell since yesterday, on account of ABDUCTION. They have peddled that I’m already married to Stanley Amaefule. Stanley has stated in emails and chats that my family and I shouldn’t get him involved in this useless drama. But he still speaks with my people and they encourage him that he will have his wife in the end. My mother has gone to my husband’s people to destroy the already-shaking relation, by accusing their son of hypnotising me, and that I am feeding their son. The first group of lions escaping from the National Park would have been excused as accidental but now there are just too many lions escaping making it clear that someone is sleeping on his/her job.
The presence of lions among humans is not only dangerous to human beings but also dangerous to the animal. As it was witnessed on Mombasa Road after an old lion was harassed by motorists who kept hooting and heckling the poor animal that was forced to scamper to safety:

Look at it this way, you want generations to come in the future to enjoy some Glendalough 13 year old single malt whiskey while in the company of close friends and family and nod to the prospects that life is actually good; that the previous generations hadn’t been selfish. That they had cared!
But maybe you don’t care about that but I bet you care about charity and giving back to society and what better way to do that than paying taxes. This money can in turn go ahead to pay for education of many young souls yearning for it and pay for infrastructural projects which might in turn provide jobs.
And you can start with residential rent income from that apartment we talked about earlier. This is basically income which accrued in or was derived from Kenya for the use of residential property and which does not exceed ten million shillings (Kshs. 10 million) during any year of income. It shall be charged at a rate of 10% on gross rent received on monthly basis and No expenses shall be allowed for deduction. I’m thinking that’s quite a small amount to part with for the better good for society.
The tax shall be payable by a resident person (Individual and Company) effective 1st January 2016 and it applies to rental income that has accrued or is derived in Kenya for the use of residential property.
And I can imagine what’s going through your head right now; you like giving but now the process of paying this tax will require spending the whole day at KRA offices filling out depths upon depths of papers of things you probably don’t understand. That’s not actually the case, filling taxes is now easy as 123 with the introduction of iTax.
Taxpayers are required to prepare a rent schedule for all let property showing the number of property, rent received per property and gross rent received. Complete a monthly tax return online via iTax by declaring the gross rent and tax payable will be computed automatically at 10%. Told you it was easy…you can actually even do it while relaxing at home over the weekend or catching up with a game of football at the bar.
And it’s okay if you don’t receive your rent monthly but quarterly or annually, you can still file your returns when you get your money…just remember to file in NIL every month.

Two days after police stormed Langata to stop Project X, another bloodcurdling incident happened in that neighborhood!
Langata was all over the media after police led a raid in house there On 10th Thursday March 2016 to stop an alleged Project X party.
Two days after the incident, a British woman of Indian origin hired assailants to kill her own husband in their house in Langata.
Trushna Asvinkumar Velan yesterday denied conspiring to kill her husband Asvinkumar Bhikhalal Velan at Swaminirayan estate in Langata, when she appeared in court.
The Briton is said to have hired hitmen whom she let into her house to murder her husband. Mr. Asvinkumar miraculously survived the incident and he’s now recuperating a City hospital.

The official position is that after Dennis Oliech stint in Dubai his last station, he came back to Kenya and received two solid offers from from clubs in Europe, however one big company that recently set up base in Kenya also gave him a mouth watering offer to be their ambassador and one of their requirements was that he should not be playing active football.
For this reason Dennis Oliech has put his playing career on hold after playing for a long time he has decided to take a short break inturn he accepted the deal to be the Ambassador of the company.
The major deal will be announced publicly by the end of next week and all Dennis Oliech fans should be patient as its a good move for his career as he plans for his future.

Viral video doing rounds on social media has shocked Kenyans after it turned out the woman who was beating her PA was a Nominated Senator.
A certain Musamali George posted a video on Facebook showing two women locked in a vicious catfight in the office.
George says the woman being assaulted is called Nancy and she’s the personal assistant to TNA Nominated Senator, Joy Gwendo. Nancy was apparently being beaten by her boss.
“Madness Nominated Senator assaults her PA in the office.Expect the usual cover-up. Watch.Impunity by leaders.Any thing comparable to what Nancy did? Have your say.” George captioned the video.
The viral video shows the TNA Nominated Senator trying to push out her personal assistant out of the office.
The PA is heard telling the Senator she would regret what she had done threatening to expose her to the media.

The family of Dedan Kimathi will never get the closure of at least burying his remains at home.
Despite sustained efforts to get the remains from Kamiti they have not borne fruit. However, it appears that they may just get a part of that unfortunate part of history that saw them and Kenya lose a beloved man and hero.
The widow of Dedan Kimathi has been handed a file of the trial records that saw her husband hanged. The file was a copy of the only original trial and appellate records. It’s was handed by the University of London to the CJ Willy Mutunga. The CJ then had audience with Kimathi’s widow and handed her the file in quite a ceremony.

The president was in his Nakuru tour when he made a short stop to great the crowds along the road. As the President was busy explaining that he is in a hurry to get somewhere a woman from the crowd shouted ‘ Nakupenda’ and insisted the president greets her by the hand.

Just when you think the Coast General Hospital could not get any worse in terms of negligence cases it finds another way to outdo for it.
Just as the cloud seemed to be falling on the negligence incident that resulted in a woman dying while delivering through cesarian section, another controversy has met the hospital. The hospital is facing accusations of having chased a bleeding woman away when she was taken to the hospital.

I live near moons cinema area of Mombasa and today at around 7.30pm a lady came stumbling into the hairdressing salon opposite my house. She was bleeding heavily and couldnt speak. The hairdresser called me and a friend to assist and we helped the lady into a tuktuk
And rushed her to Tononoka police station to file a report as we knew it would be needed as she had definately been assaulted . The police were extremely helpfull and speedily wrote out the OB. And even helped the lady back in the tuk tuk and they advised us to rush her to hospital.
We got to the Coast General Hospital and rushed in helping the lady into the hospital. We asked for immediate assistance from a doctor and one promptly appeared.
NOW THIS IS THE REALLY SAD PART…..
The doctor took one look at the lady and shouted out to the guards to immediately remove her from the hospital. We were duly shocked and asked him why he was doing this to which he casually replied ” she is too dirty we cant treat her ” As you can imagine i went mad ! So we were all thrown out of the hospital and i think the rest of this sad story you can watch the clip we managed to film on our phone and decide for your selves the direction our health services in this beloved country is going. The guards did try to snatch the phone from us when they realised we were filming but we managed to walk away….

At the beginning of this year, social media and blogs were littered with news that 26 year old Firyal Nur the daughter of Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed was dating Uhuru’s last born Muhoho Kenyatta.
Speaking to Drum Magazine, Nur revealed that Muhoho is just a friend and things were really blown out of proportion due to a photo that the two took.
“I will say this; Muhoho is a wonderful friend whom I have worked with and have a high regard for. He is an amazing and creative person. He is a good friend and I’Il leave it at that. I think people gossip about things that they really do not know about.” She divulged.

Vanessa Chettle feels that her hometown has betrayed her…
The controversial socialiate feels she has been made the proverbial prophet who is not welcome at her home place. This comes after her home county (not Nairobi) decided to invite Huddah Monroe to host an event for them.
Eldoret town in Uasin Gishu county has invited the usually globe trotting Huddah to the event and Vanessa Chettle feels slighted by it given that the event is the first of it’s kind and she thought the organisers would consider ‘home grown’ talent first.
Well, it appears It’s not politicians alone who would pull the home card alone especially when business is hard. Worry not Vanessa, you are with Jesus as people who got snubbed in their hometown that’s not bad company at all.

Earlier this week the deputy president was the one trending with his past photos as a pastor. Today it is the turn of his boss the President, Uhuru Kenyatta and his love the first lady Margaret Kenyatta.
Long before they were causing headlines with their public displays of affection, they were pretty much quite ordinary but very much in love. As new love birds Uhuru had quite shady love poses as the one below. Their catchy PDAs seem to have started during his first campaign, back in 2002.
Uhuru Kenyatta then in his late thirties and pretty naive in matters politics sure needed an assuring hand and as this photo shows he got it from his love. The photo shows how grateful the first lady is aging.
This year has seen many Kenyan celebrities take on a strong political stance and actively engaging in political related activities.
Usually the celebrity community is the exemplification of middle class aloofness to the middle class. However many have actively participated in the sensitization process urging Kenyans to register. A number also have declared their candidacy in political seats while others are now regular commentators on hitherto taboo subjects like the entrenched tribalism culture.
Take for instance the recent comments by Machachari’s Baha on matters his tribe.

Thieves have even declared they running for different posts 2017 and because they are from our tribe, we will vote them in so that they continue to make our lives hard. Its a high time our people start voting for maendeleo and not mtu wangu. Christ says we should mind about the welfare of others. We should treat all other tribes with love and respect. At the end of the day, bei ya unga tunanunua same price and got thru the same hustles everyday
“I am almost certain that everyone at one point in life must have experienced the brutal side of love. I too have, and a lot has been written about it. I have had my heart broken a thousand times; maybe I have broken a few hearts myself. At one point I broke off my engagement, though it is not something I want to delve into. But you can’t let a bad experience stop you from loving. Love is a way of life.” Anne Kiguta revealed to Citizen Digitals’ Brian Okoth during a recent interview.
Despite having the ugly side of her love life splattered all over the media and having it quite rough when it comes to men, Anne reveals that she still has a sunny disposition when it comes to love.
She does not let past experience cloud her faith in love and make her a cynic. And maybe that is why her positivity towards love has landed her a good man.
Anne revealed that she is now taken and even delved a little information about her baby. “I’m sure it’s almost every woman’s dream. I’m so happy and content.” She revealed.

This car is among the entries received for this year’s event to be held by the Alfa Romeo Owners Club at the Nairobi Racecourse on September 25th.
The Kenya contingent includes Shailesh Chandaria with a 1983 Alfa Romeo Giulietta and Ronald Nyairo who will be driving a 1967 Mercedes Benz 300 SEL along the judging line on September 25th. Ronald is among the competitors who are participating for the first time and is in contention for the prize for the best newcomer.
Maina Muturi, a Vice President of the FIM AFRICA will review the 2015 Concours d’Elegance and talk briefly about this year’s prospects. Bob Dewar, the Event Director, will comment on the regulations for 2016 and explain that the competition will be open to cars made in 2006, or earlier with the exception of buggies.
The regulations have been published on the event website www.concourskenya.com and entry forms have already been distributed to potential competitors. There are 20 classes for all makes and types of cars, pick-ups, SUVs and motorcycles. This was after the former ratchet rapper threw major shade at Nonini in his new song with Calvo Mistari dubbed ‘ Tuzidi’.
In his rap, Bobby Mapesa claimed he outshined Nonini with his vibes in ‘Mtoto Mzuri Remix’ which did together years ago.
Nonini didn’t act until Capital FM tweeted part of Bobby Mapesa’s verse in the song.

A 25 year old footballer and 3rd year UON student was violently stabbed to his death by his girlfriend in Kangemi on Tuesday after a squabble.
Kelvin Ikatwa popularly called Rëÿzãblädë was found lying lifeless by police officers and his murderer, who is currently pregnant was found sitting next to his lifeless body .

Many wondered what would make a 19 year old act in such a way but it has now been revealed why Sheila Atema flew into a murderous rage and finished off her lover.
According to Nairobi News, Sheila is said to have been pissed off after Kelvin, a footballer with Wazito FC posted the photo of another woman on Facebook that morning before his tragic demise.
The woman is said to have been Kelvin’s friend as another friend revealed. Kevin’s friend revealed that they were not aware that Sheila existed and were also shocked to learn that she was pregnant.
“We had no idea a woman by that name existed and that she was pregnant. What we know is that the picture Kelvin posted belongs to one of his friends. He was not dating her.” Kevin’s friend disclosed.
Sheila will now be arraigned in court to answer to murder charges on Friday.

Police vehicles lined the streets of Boston with their lights flashing as the body of their fallen colleague was being ferried to the medical examiner’s office.
The death of Thomas Clardy has taken the state of Massachusetts by storm. The fallen state police was killed yesterday in the line of duty by a Kenyan man.
44 year old Clardy served in US Marine Corps before joining The Massachusetts State Police in April 2005.
Clardy was killed when he was returning to his vehicle after issuing a ticket to a speeding motorist. A Kenyan, 30 year old David Njuguna of Webster, rammed his Nissan Maxima into the rear of Clardy’s SUV.
The American cop didn’t survive the incident, he died minutes later as he was being rushed to the hospital.
The Wednesday afternoon incident brought traffic on the Massachusetts Turnpike highway to a standstill. Witness say Njuguna was speeding when he crossed to another lane crashing into Clardy’s car and killing him.
Massachusetts State Police says Njugana was involved in another accident in 2012 and his license had also been suspended in 2013 for refusing to take a breathalyzer test.
The Kenyan faces charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stay in marked lanes. He survived the accident and was airlifted to UMass Medical Center with serious injuries. Meanwhile the dead American cop is survived with a wife, Reisa, and six kids aged 4 to 17.

Trooper Clardy’s body arrives at the medical examiner’s office in Boston

The government of South Sudan has been drawn into the Thursday 10th March 2016 Project X incident!
The controversial party at Phenom Estate in Langata was dubbed Project X by Kenyan authorities after it emerged minors were served with liquor.
Police arrested the owner of the house in Phenom Estate, a South Sudanese woman, where the party was going down.
Daily Nation says Mary Nanyuk, the South Sudanese woman, was set free by Langata OCS Derrick Nyagah who explained that officials from the South Sudanese embassy visited him and informed him Juba government wanted the woman released immediately.
Apparently the South Sudanese woman is a wife to a senior military general in South Sudanese army. Juba government flexed its muscles to get her out.
The Langata OCS revealed he was ordered by a senior judicial officer from a Kibera court to release the South Sudanese women from custody.
Kibera Senior Resident Shadrack Mwinzi had on Friday 11th denied Ms Nyanyuk bail ordering that she be detained till Monday 14th.
The South Sudanese woman was in court on Monday where she was ordered to surrender her passport and to deposit a Kes 500,000 bond with two Kenyan sureties or pay Kes 100,000 cash bail.
The court meanwhile put Langata OCS to task to explain why he released Ms Nyanyuk without court order to do so.
