Jacky Vike’s pregnancy announcement came as a surprise and many are still shocked that the petite lass is expecting her first child.
For the longest time she has been keeping her private life on the lo, but after sharing photos to show off her baby bump we all got interested in finding out who she was dating and whether she was married on the low.
Anyway, in a recent interview with the actress revealed that she has been dating her man for 5 years and just like any other couple they have their ups and downs they have managed so far.
She went on to reveal that they even live together and that they held a traditional wedding last years which automatically makes her his wife.
Awinja aka Jacky Vike
“Our relationship is official and our families are in the picture as we are considered married since we performed the traditional marriage. We had a small family and friends event where all this took place. About a Church wedding, that might have to wait a bit as we are using the finances we have on other developments,”
She is however not ready to introduce the fella to her social media friends, just to ensure that her life remains private like before.
When asked why she took long to reveal that she was pregnant, the lady was quick to say that her mum had asked her to keep it private and just like any obedient child, she followed her mum’s advice. But she felt the need to announce it after it got at 6 months since she could not hide it anymore.
“It is not that I was hiding but the truth is that my mother did not want me to go loud about the pregnancy. My mother is the old-school type and with this, I only revealed this to a few people like Naomi Ng’ang’a who is my designer. I mean, could I even hide this from the person who tailors my clothes.
Anyway, she is yet to reveal her soon to be baby’s gender which she promised to do come April.
There is a conversation Kenyans need to have and that is the conversation about how the Kenyan newsroom is toxic for female Journalists.
This was a conversation started by former feature reporter Judy Kosgei and which I think all stakeholders should seek to propel. She left Citizen TV sometime last year after a four year stint where she made a great mark on covering issues regarding women’s and girl’s rights.
For that she won quite a myriad of awards including the prestigious CNN MultiChoice African Journalist of the year, made a lot of money in the process. Connections too as she’s now the Communication officer at Equality Now- a global organization that champions women’s rights.
Unfortunately even with all those accolades, she was not shielded from the misogyny, tribal bigotry and sexism rampant in Kenyan newsrooms.
She opened up after a similar article written by Njoki Chege on these unfortunate occurrence and that’s when narrated all the harrowing things she encountered as a Journalist-we have every reason to believe at Citizen TV.

Here is what she posted on her Facebook on 14th March 2017:
I AM A WOMAN, A WOMAN JOURNALIST By Judy Kosgei – Ekwam
Woman, you are only a good journalist until you decide to focus, further your studies or start a family, while at it . You will be insulted, Your baby 🐥, Spouse or family will too. Why? It’s the newsroom for a woman . I tried to figure out the editorial connection to this, in vain. Woman journalist, you will become immune to the insults, but before you get to the ‘immune’ level, you will cry, sulk, hate the very job you love, your esteem will be shredded into small invisible pieces, you will doubt your capability, you will have a truck load of unanswered questions – nothing ‘woman’ about them. The beauty is, the passion in you never dies. The fire to always be a better writer, story teller, will keep burning, even if it’s a flicker. That woman was me.
** * Insert effect – Deep to color ****( I still love TV production/editing)
” where is your script, you were a good reporter until you decided to get married, what did he give you, huyo *insert tribe* alikulalia usiku mzima mpaka umeshindwa kuandika” shouts an editor across the newsroom * some of the insults with regard to this, are too obscene to post in a public space *
Then God blesses Woman journalist with a baby 🚼 ” Do you think your baby is so special, mtoto wako si mayai ati lazima ulalie, we have babies too **man speaking** that baby has slowed you down. Judy, when it happens, don’t say I never warned you.” …but they are just words, I would console myself. Words broke whose bone? A colleague asked me one day, No one? I answered. It made alot of sense, no orthopedic surgeon has ever received a case of Bones broken by words. If there’s, it is not documented. No bone was broken, none, why lie while I can cheat😆, but that muscular organ that pumps blood 💔, pieces I tell you, pieces and not pieces for picking. … Woman journalist, you will head home at 10 pm, carrying with you a broken heart, a tired body, a clogged brain and eyes balancing tears, you will drive home while crying for no apparent reason… then you turn on the radio 📻. Voila! the broken car radio self healed. Now playing; ‘voice of Truth’ by casting crowns, crank it up, dry your eyes kapsaaa at the parking lot, pick up your handbag, the shredded pieces of what was your heart and walk to the door of your dark house. EVERYONE is asleep. You go home late everyday so you have the spare key. Your baby slept at 8pm, you have a 6 am assignment tomorrow, call time is 5 am. You will tip toe out of the bedroom at 4.57am, you will not kiss her, you will not even dare breath near her, she will wake up… Then one day the woman in me, the lioness who had been rained on and people thought was a cat, roared. I realised they weren’t just words, it was the woman being fought yet fighting for her space in the newsroom at the same time. Woman with no heart for insults coined as obscene jokes walked to and worked in the newsroom, she was a shell, she had become defensive and unhappy, she loved writing and the production of great pieces but she would never trade her family for anything. Her mother a carreer woman with 7 children never did, why? Remember the flicker, it flaired up, she decided to do what she loves on a different platform. A Platform where women are respected.
Judy Kosgei is not alone though, I have met up with other female Journalists who previously worked at Citizen and the narrative is the same; there is just too much toxicity in the newsroom.
But maybe it’s not Citizen alone but all Kenyan media houses.
Keep it Ghafla as we seek to unravel this debacle.
When Bahati revealed that he was to release a collabo with Rayvanny, we all thought Willy Paul was going to choke on his pride however, what many didn’t know is that he had even bigger plans for his career.
He did not just jet into Tanzania to promote his latest song I do which he featured Jamaican singer Aliane, but he had plans to link up with Diamond Platnumz to see whether they would work on a project together and speaking to Pulse Willy Paul hinted that there was something cooking in the kitchen!
“We talked about a number of things and one of them was how we can work together as artistes, including releasing collabos.”
He however did not say the to much about the topic as he went on to remind Pulse that his trip to Tanzania was to help him promote his latest project and meeting Diamond Platnumz was just a by the way.
“Remember this was a tour to launch I Do in Tanzania and the Diamond courtesy call is just one of the projects I had in my plan.”
The second annual legislative summit is currently ongoing in Paradise Beach resort in Mombasa but unfortunately there is no one in attendance.
As it was revealed by the National Cohesion and Integration commission Chairman Francis Ole Kaparo, Senators and MCA’s who the summit is meant for are busy basking and flaunting their big tummies at the beach.
He’s angered by the fact that the legislators were taken there to at great expense to debate on important matters affecting their respective Counties only for them to turn the whole escapade into a leisure escapade.
National Cohesion and Integration commission Chairman Francis Ole Kaparo having a chat with Devolution CS Mwangi Kiunjuri
At a great cost, Kenyans brought you here to participate in this important meeting. You came here by air, air ticket paid for you, you were booked in luxurious 5 star hotels but the seats are empty here” He tore at the legislators.
He also added that it was about time Mombasa stopped being considered as a place to hold such meetings as they should be moved to National parks as the legislators would find it hard to loiter around with wild animals.
Here are some photos of the legislators having a great time courtesy of Kevin Odit:
Akothee is not one to shy off from telling her daughters the risks of life and the consequences of their actions. She says it like it is!
Lately, she has been parading her girls on social media. And now that they are becoming popular she has come off to tell them that they should avoid getting free things free things from men since at the end of the day they will end up paying for it one way or another.
In a detailed post shared under one of her daughter’s picture the lady wrote:
“Take this keys for this toy. (It is) from the bottom of my heart. For sure you can afford to fuel and service it from the salary I pay you for taking care of your siblings. “Please avoid free gifts from men; like free drinks and lifts. A man never gives anything for free and if they do, they have a tendency of coming back for them in one way or the other.”
There is no doubt that Akothee protects her baby girls as she understands the world better. She has had it both rough and smooth in her life and this is why she chooses to protect her girls!
Boniface Mwangi and Mohammed Ali are the only the only wannabe MPs who have gone to the electorates and asked them to raise money for their campaigns.
Even though this is a popular tradition in Western nations, it’s a strange practice in Kenya because it’s politicians who give people handouts and not vice versa.
Boniface Mwangi campaigns in Starehe
Anyway Kenyans are sending Boniface Mwangi money for his campaign, the controversial Rights Activist has revealed how much he has received so far.
“I would like to take this time to Thank You for supporting me. So far, I have managed to raise about KES 160,000 ($1600) from people that I have never met before,” Boniface disclosed.
He explained that most people who donated to him were just common citizens – the same people who have shown him compassion and offered him encouragement.
“A big Thank You to the people l met in the streets and they donated 10bob here, 20bob there, in support of my campaign. Thank you to the shoe-maker in Kariokor Market who made me a pair of shoes; to the Boda-Boda Rider who refused to let me pay him and said “that’s my contribution to your campaign.
“Thank You to everyone who has told me to keep up the fight, who has told me they will stand with me, who has told one other person about my campaign. Thank You, one and all.
“I appreciate you all. Not only are you supporting me with your votes and entrusting me with your money, you are keeping me strong when the campaign trail gets tough.”
President Kenyatta is currently on a tour of Nyamira County and as usual he didn’t miss the opportunity to remind us he still holds the crown in the coolness department.
Not only did he offer Nyambane, former comedian a job in the Jubilee party in the most unusual way but he also let a small primary boy sit on his car as he talked to the public.
How that happened? We don’t know but the boy was there chilled out like it was nothing.
This is not the first time president Kenyatta pulling such a stunt having suffered public backlash some months back when photos of him dabbing in State House emerged online.
I’m curious what the haters will say after seeing this:
Comedian Oga Obinna is now a father to a bouncing baby girl as revealed on his social media pages. The popular media personality announced this a few days ago confirming that his forth born was finally here.
Lately the fella has been keeping a low profile but seems that he could not help but announce that his spouse had delivered a baby girl by the name of Damilola….what a name!
Obinna’s new born
Though he did not share any of her photos, I managed to come across a few photos of his baby mama, Lilian, rocking her baby bump a few days before she delivered. To my surprise Obinna had also thrown a baby shower for his woman and judging from the color everyone was dressed in (blue) could be that the couple thought they were expecting a baby boy.
Obinna throws his baby mama a baby shower
Anyway, through his Instagram page, Obinna wrote to say…
Alubarika is all I See!! Jah Jah blessed Me!!💯😍❤ 3.5KG baby Girl.
We are yet to get photos of his new bundle of joy but all we can say for now is congratulations to the new parents in time.
After more than 10 surgeries, miscarriages, loss of eyesight in 2010, collapsed lungs, and husband desertion, God has relieved Gladys Kamande’s pain and misery.
Gladys’ eye sight (she lost her sight for five years) has been restored after she successfully underwent treatment at an Indian hospital.
Gladys touched down in Kenya a week ago, she uploaded a video to thank Kenyans for the financial support and prayers they offered her.
Gladys Kamande was received by family, friends and well-wishers when she land back in the country from India
“Kwa majina naitwa GLADYS WAIRIMU KAMANDE. Nilikuwa mgonjwa sana. Nilikuwa nimepotea macho 2010. Sikuwa na pumua, nilikuwa nabebanisha mitungi ya oxygen pamoja generator.
“Lakini nikaja kwa Wakenya, tukawaomba msaada na mkakubali kutusaidia. Mtukasaidia na pesa zenu ba hata maombi.
“Kwa saa hii macho yangu inaona. Nimekaa 7 years bila kuona. Nilienda na nikatibiwa India na sasa ninaona.
“Kwa sasa niko sawa ninaona. Mungu amenisaidia. Nimeshukuru sana kwa wale wote mumenisaidia kwa maombi na fedha. Mungu awabariki,” Gladys said in the video.
Gladys has one more request to all Kenyans – she’s inviting you to a thanksgiving session at ACK Road Mwiki, Kasarani on Sunday, the meeting will begin at 2 pm.
Kifesi, Diamond’s photographer is a man on the spot and this is after a post he made about love that has got tongues wagging.
It was a post about a man having two women and loving them the same way and how one woman thinks they are special just because they’re regularly posted on social media as opposed to the other woman who is perfectly fine been the other woman on the down low.
Now the reason why this post is making headlines it’s because it has Zari Hassan plastered all over it with a touch of Hamisa Mobetto. Well, how long has Zari been dating Diamond? A cool 3 years if I have my facts right.
And how long since it emerged Hamisa might actually be his side dish? A year or two…yes, no?
And just to throw a few spanners in the works, Zari’s premise in this whole thing has always been that he’s the acknowledged woman in Diamond’s life. She’s the one that gets taken to tours and constantly appears on his social media.
Connect the dots and its clear Kifesi was heading somewhere with the statement. Someone was being issued a warning if you ask me.
Meat is more important to Limuru residents that human life we can certainly confirm today!
In a story that emerged on the Star, they shocked many when a Probox crashed yesterday 23rd March 2017 and instead of saving the driver who was still bundled up the damaged car, they took their time to first of all scuffle for the meat and when they were done that’s when they attempted to save the poor guy.
Fortunately, he was saved and rushed to hospital before things got out of hand.
The Probox had been in an accident which involved 2 other vehicles; a matatu and a truck.
“The vehicle [Probox] was obstructed by a matatu that wanted to pick passengers, but since [the driver] was speeding, [he] tried to overtake it, but unfortunately hit all these vehicles,” witness Paul Ndung’u told The Star.
And when he was asked about why his fellow residents only focused on the meat first before saving the driver, he just smiled and took a run for the hills.
Probably the president who hails from Central Kenya should offer an year’s supply to these people rest actual lives are lost.
It has been a while since we heard from Jackson Kamau aka DJ Soxxy…but thanks to his social media, we can keep up with the fella and is family.
So recently I decided to go through his Instagram hoping to bump into something interesting and as usual, of course I did. Do you remember the last time you saw his kids? Well, now they are grown and his last born, Ethan, is now learning how to walk and he is slowly taking after his mother.
DJ Soxxy’s kids hanging out with their auntie
His first born, Eliana, a lovely young lady has alrealdy joined preschool but when she is home the little girl helps her parents watch over her small brother who will soon be turning 1 year.
Anyway, the photo i managed to get Eliana is seen cuddling up with Ethan and if I am not wrong, the two were playing before the photo was captured by their mum or day. Well, if you haven’t seen how big they have grown, then checkout their adorable photo below:
28-year-old Alex Mutungi Mutuku has dominated headlines ever since it was reported that caused Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) to lose 4 billion shillings after he hacked into its computer system.
Alex is still in police custody pending a date with the court on Tuesday March 28th 2017 when the magistrate will determine whether to grant or deny him bail.
But the computer geek is optimistic that the court will grant him bail, it’s of this reason that he’s pleading with Kenyans to contribute towards his bail.
“I’m humbly asking each and everyone to help me however they can. It can be through a contribution, praying for me or even coming to give me moral support on 28th. I f you would like to contribute towards my bail, here is how.

“The little you have; be it 100,200,500… 1M etc., or even that 4B, I’ll forever be grateful and will remember it as the time Kenya stood by me. If I had this 4B, trust me I wouldn’t be asking. I’d just use part of it to pay but I don’t have it,” Alex wrote on his Facebook account that’s now being managed by his brother.
Alex claims that he didn’t steal any money from KRA, he says the expensive lifestyle that the media claims he used to lead was a big lie.
He denies everything even though his own posts on Facebook show that he once flew out of Nairobi because he was infuriated by water shortage in the city.
“After all the media frenzy, I’ve been forced to respond with a handwritten letter through my brother who has come to visit me.
“My life was darkest in 2015 and after that I decided nothing will ever take me back to that dark time. Not anyone. Not even this and certainly the media twisting facts. Hence my phrase ‘Nothing can stop me, I’m all the way up…’ I’m sure most of you are familiar with the lyrics. I’m always smiling. Even now, I have learned to love myself. And trust me, I’ve never loved myself more than I do now.
“Now, since 2015 I’ve never taken time off. I struggled with a lot of things but eventually overcame all. So, 2017 is here and what do I do? I decided one of my new year’s resolution is a trip of East and Southern Africa and one international trip. I buy my international ticket and embark on the east African trip. From city to city. On bus. No flying- too expensive – and I document everything on my FB timeline. By the time, I get to Tz, I’ve spend 73k, already broke and the deadline to register as a voter is quickly approaching. I decided to come back. Now, it has all been twisted as ‘living large’. Wow. But I understand people have to make a living- in this case selling more copies.
“By March I have ticked two resolutions for this year. I get back, I’m arrested. Why? KRA has lost 4B. Not a million but billion. When they told me that, I laughed. I laugh even now. I’m not stupid. Clearly, I’m the patsy. Those big cajunas at KRA looted the cash and then in a smoke-filled room, smoking their cubans – forgive my imagination, it probably was an office- decided this.
“Oh, this Alex boy just went on a trip and stupidly plastered it all over FB. What’s more, he has a similar case. Perfect! Go get him.”
“Anyone with half a brain can figure that out. Four billion doesn’t just disappear like that without anyone noticing- for years. Even slowly.
“Here are the facts
“1. I DO NOT have 4B, or any part of 4B. In fact, my life’s savings are not even remotely close to one billion, let alone four!
“2. I have NEVER worked at KRA nor do I know anyone who works there. If I did then I do not believe I’d have queued all those hours renewing my license or transferring my bike ownership. Those queues are just life draining.
“3. I believe this is a test and just like every storm, it will pass and I will emerge victorious. The truth never stays hidden. All will be revealed in due time. God’s time is the best. For now, I’ll keep smiling and praying.
“4. Everyone who knows me personally knows that I don’t like asking everyone for it. My bail ruling is coming up on the 28th of March and I’m praying and hoping for two things. One that I be granted bail and two, it’s a REASONABLE amount. Now reasonable of course is relative to everyone and for me that’s 100k as that’s what I can afford. But I’m not the magistrate. All I can do is wait.”
Victoria Kimani is agitated with local brands and event organizers, the sultry singer claims the two are ‘killing’ Kenyan music industry.
Victoria’s cry is not new in Kenya, local artists have long been grumbling about foreigners and foreign content dominating Kenyan entertainment scene.
The ‘Booty Bounce’ hit maker is particular infuriated by the fact that Kenyan artists play second fiddle at events hosted in the country because organizers prefer foreign artists to headline shows.
Victoria said she couldn’t settle for anything less than 200k to perform at an event where foreign musicians are paid 5 to 10 million shillings.
“Riding around Nairobi, seeing billboards on top of billboards of these shows, why are none of us headlining? Why does it have to be this way… year after year after year…. we constantly place every other country, city, town above our own, Not every artist has the opportunities That A few of us have to leave Kenya and be seen on stages with that wide Africa reach, what the hell would I do if I didn’t have those opportunities,,,, I’d sit here and either throw my own concert (coming soon) …. or wait to be some so called’ opening act for less than ksh200K … while we watch them make $50,000 – $100,000 right in our face! Why can’t we learn from Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, South Africa and many more and be as excited to see ourselves as we are others?! And then get mad and wanna call me Nigerian because I am blessed to be booked there from time to time…: wow guys…. This self hate we got has to change pretty soon or we will keep loosing gems like Lupita who many of you literally chased away, then get mad if she acts brand new on you when she’s back home 😂 mannn all I’m saying is book us now before you can no longer afford us. Brands too…. use your local faces ! GIVE THE YOUTH A CHANCE…. don’t chase our Artistic dreams away!!…. you guys are sleeping on PICASSO AND MOZART ARE YOU STUPID!? 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪 #ForgiveMe #IamAnArtist #ImPassionateAboutMyShit #FreeKenyanArt #PayKenyanArt … so I and many others don’t have to keep leaving our HOME to make a normal living as an artist ❤”
Size 8 jumped the broom with DJ Mo in a very discreet ceremony that was held at the Attorney General’s office sometimes in September 2013.
The two celebrity couple was blessed with a beautiful baby girl called Ladasha Belle Wambo in November 2015.
Being a family man came with its own challenges, DJ Mo faced one when he tried making a radical decision about his career.
In an interview with Ghafla!, DJ Mo revealed he wanted to enroll in rally classes since he aspired to be a safari rally driver. But this didn’t happen as his wife blocked his bid.
“If I wasn’t a DJ I would be a safari rally driver…driver wa safo. Actually I wanted to enroll for classes Linet (Size 8) akakataa,” DJ Mo said.
He however didn’t reveal why Size 8 blocked him from becoming a rally driver, but I guess his wife was just scared of the risks – most women are frightened by adrenaline fueled activities.
Just a month ago, Vivian rubbished claims that she was romantically involved with Timmy Tdat, the rumors started after she was seen in a series of photos with the ‘Haitosi’ hit maker.
The sultry songstress however revealed that Redsan was the man who was giving her butterflies in the stomach, she had undying crush on him.
Dr Ofweneke has been having it rough for the past few weeks but he is not letting his problems stop him from achieving better things in life. He recently revealed that he was jetting out of the country to an unknown destination and as always he captioned the photo talking about how God was blessing him.
This however left many wondering where he stands as he was recently caught on camera drunk to a level that he wasn’t able to walk by himself. The video contradicted what he preaches on his social media pages making one wonder whether he is in the business of making money like the likes of pastor Kanyari.
Anyway, the comedian has not said anything about the video that was shared by a popular local new out let. but what many believe is that he was under a lot of pressure after his wife came out to reveal that she had walked out on him since he was abusing her.
Even with the challenges, the MC and comedian is still carrying on with his usual activities and from his Instagram the fella will be attendig the Luo festival that will go down in Mombasa in April.
Anyway, so where did he jet off to? Well who knows, maybe he needed sometime alone.
Premium mobile phone brand, TECNO Mobile, has today 23rd March, 2017 unveiled its latest handset to hit the African market at an event in the Kenyan capital, the Camon CX.
Designed specifically for young, independent smartphone users, the latest handset will be the “Selfie Camera” for this market’s generation.
The Camon CX will be available in 41 countries across Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, allowing consumers to take brighter, clearer and faster selfies than ever before.
Since the Camon series was introduced in 2015, over 5 million handsets globally have been sold, helping consumers experience high quality selfie technology at the touch of a button.
Securing their position as the leading smartphone provider in African markets such as Nigeria, Tanzania, Egypt, Kenya and Cameroon, TECNO Mobile has adopted the latest visual technology in the Camon CX.
The smartphone uses a smart image sensor composed of 16 mega pixel sensors in the front camera, coupled withunique ‘4 in 1’ technology.
Each pixel sensor detects light, captures individual images and converts the information into signals before forming the final image, resulting in selfies that are 30 per cent brighter, capturing special moments perfectly.
The ‘4 in 1’ technology also pairs effective denoising technology, obtaining a signal-to-noise (SNR) 1.7 times better, with the newest Smart Denoise technology to produce amazingly clear images even in low light. The dual-front flash feature goes further, and allows Camon CX users to take amazing quality selfies in dark environments where previous artificial light would blur and distort images.
The smartphone also includes features such as a customised ring flash, light speed charge and a 5.5 inch FHD (Full High Definition) screen, all allowing for ease of use on the go as well as the best quality images.
TECNO, part of Transsion Holdings, has had over 25 per cent of market share in Sub-Saharan African countries since 2014. Sales in the African market reached 25million devices in 2015,including 9million smart phones. Globally, it sold 60 million devices last year while the sale of smart phones manufactured by the company increased by 40 per cent.
Speaking at the global launch of the Camon CX smartphone, Stephen Ha, General Manager of TECNO Mobile, said:
“We are very excited to unveil the Camon CX, as our latest smartphone. The phenomenon of the selfie has in recent years taken over smartphone usage, and photo quality is important to not just younger consumers but increasingly wider age demographics.
“We have made a conscious effort to adopt the latest technology to provide consumers with the highest quality mobile experience, something that is a top priority for TECNO Mobile.”
Beehong Hong, Transsion’s Chief Marketing Officer, also commented:
“The launch of the Camon CX is the latest example of where TECNO Mobile provides quality products at affordable prices across many different markets.
“This device is particularly exciting for us as we tap into new technology, delivering consistent, superior image quality whilst still offering an easy-to-use device.
“We strive to maintain TECNO’s position as the most popular smartphone provider in the African market by utilising new technologies as we have done here.”
Victoria Kimani has finally addressed an issue that has been eating many Kenyan artists for years now. Most of them have had to struggle with being given petty money to perform as opening acts for foreign artists especially Nigerians.
This issue has made many artists give up on their careers as they feel unappreciated by their own country which never gives them a chance to prove what they are really made of. In a detailed post, Victoria Kimani started off by saying…
Riding around Nairobi, seeing billboards on top of billboards of these shows, why are none of us headlining? Why does it have to be this way… year after year after year…. we constantly place every other country, city, town above our own, Not every artist has the opportunities That A few of us have to leave Kenya and be seen on stages with that wide Africa reach, what the hell would I do if I didn’t have those opportunities,,,, I’d sit here and either throw my own concert (coming soon) …. or wait to be some so called’ opening act for less than ksh200K … while we watch them make $50,000 – $100,000 right in our face!
The singer went on to add that countries like Tanzania and Uganda appreciate their own artists and this is why they are becoming better than us, which is true. It is unfortunate that our own artists have to be treated like they don’t matter and when they make it everyone pretends to show much they are pretending.
🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪 #ForgiveMe #IamAnArtist #ImPassionateAboutMyShit #FreeKenyanArt #PayKenyanArt … so I and many others don’t have to keep leaving our HOME to make a normal living as an artiste
We have a long way to go if such mistakes will be rectified in order for our artists to feel they matter and what they do is appreciated.
Nyambane is set to dump the CORD court and jump into another ship, the Jubilee ship.
This is after Uhuru offered him a job while on his Kisii tour with the deputy president.
The president wanted him to quit comedy and jokes and join the Jubilee team though it’s not very clear under what capacity.
Also read:
He’s currently working for Nairobi County as a communication strategist after starting off in Kisii County doing the same thing.
This has to be a big break for him as things are a bit thick for him and Kidero after he got a suspension in 2016 only to be reinstated later.
“Sasa nataka huyu kijana Nyambane mimi mnipatie. Sasa mambo ya entertainment amewacha, akuje aungane na mimi kwa serikali tufanye mambo ya kuwatafutia kazi. Yeye ndio ntakuwa nikitumatuma saa nyingine kuongea na nyinyi vijana. Mkiwa na maneno, mkiwa na shida mnamtafuta, anakuja mnamwongelesha anakuja kunipasha habari (Now give me this guy Nyambane. He has now abandoned entertainment, he will be working with my government to seek employment for you. I will be sending him to you and you will send him to me),” Uhuru told youths in Kisii.
The much anticipated Ferdinand Waititu/William Kabogo showdown that was expected last night failed to happen because Kabete MP cowed into silence.
Jeff Koinange invited all hopefuls for Kiambu gubernatorial seat for an interview at his show on Citizen TV – only the incumbent governor turned up.
Ferdinand Waititu, who has long been perceived to be the frontrunner in the race for Kiambu top seat, also chickened out of the interview.
Jeff revealed that he invited all candidates for Kiambu gubernatorial seat for the interview and they all declined, with exception of governor Willian Kabogo.
“I have invited ALL THE candidates for the KIAMBU top job and the ONLY confirmation I got was governor Kabogo..The rest DECLINED! “ Jeff tweeted.
Kabogo used the opportunity to sell himself and defend the work he has done in Kiambu for the last four years. And if the interview on JKL is anything to go by, then Ferdinand Waititu will need serious prayers to unseat Kabogo.
Actor Njugush has come from far and thanks to his talent the fella seems to have a bright future now. He is not only the funniest comedian but one that understands what his fans want and how to deliver the jokes.
Anyway, today being on Thursday the Njugush shared a throw back photo that proves that hard times can really make one look like something out of a horror movie.
Anyway, he is slowly coming into terms with the fact that he cannot grow big muscles and just like Eric Omondi his only option is to Photoshop his face into other people’s bodies just to see how he would look if only it was possible to get the muscular body.
Popular televangelist Pastor Pius Muiru of Maximum Miracle Center has been struck by tragedy – his mother has been murdered.
Pius’ mother, Grace Wangari Mwangi, went missing over the weekend in what was thought to be another case of kidnapping.
Pastor Pius (in grey suit) and his son Andrew Young Muiru (in blue suit) dance during the wedding of Linda Muiru (Pastor Pius’ daughter) in 2014.
Police have arrested two suspects who confirmed to them the worst news – Grace Mwangi was killed. Apparently the suspects killed and buried pastor Pius’ mother. The motive of their crime is yet to be uncovered by the police.
The two suspects, who are being held at Kigumo police station in Murang’a, are expected to take the police to the site where they buried Grace Mwangi’s body.

Kush Tracey is among the female artists doing pretty well in the country.
Thanks to her music, the lady has been making some positive progress that include landing gigs and getting a chance to dine with the big fish in the entertainment industry.
Since she walked out on Timmy Tidat her career has been doing better than expected and I am assuming she knows this too. Anyway, just recently she had a chance to talk with Mzazi on Mambo Mseto and the lady did not have much to say about her ex, Timmy Tdat.
According to her she hasn’t missed him and they have both moved on with their lives. Anyway, as they continued with their chit chat on radio, Mzazi finally asked Kush Tracey whether she was saved and whether she was takes alcohol.
This is after she declared to have changed her lifestyle and was now saved sometime last year, something she also denied during the interview, saying that she drinks once in a while just like everyone else.
“Occasionally but sio kuoverdo I maintain bana, sio ile ya kuharibu, kidogo tu unajua ile hype, unapata kidogo na ile tu ya kwa starehe tu, unatulia tu. A woman in Thika town was forced to carry a placard that identified her as a matchmaker who hooks up young girls with old rich men.
Mary Wanjiru Karume was busted in Thika’s Majengo Estate luring two young girls into the traps of older men for sexual exploitation.
The Star reports that two of the girls (minors) were lured by Ms Karume on Monday last week where they were bought some soft drinks. Two days later, two girls who are related, were invited to a Thika Hotel where they were supposed to have a good time with a man.
Things however didn’t go as planned, someone known to the family of the girls spotted them and alerted their family.
The mother responded in time to save the girls before they went into a room with the man whom Karume had hooked them up with.
Upon interrogation, one of the girls revealed that the man had promised to pay Kes 30,000 for her birthday party. The girl also revealed that Ms Karume had warned them to be careful because the man they were supposed to sleep with was HIV +.
The girl’s mother was shocked to find out Mary Wanjiru Karume was a person she knew all too well. She however declined to press charges against her saying God had saved her daughter.
Majengo residents who were vexed by the woman’s action decided to frog-match her across the streets carrying a placard that identified her as a matchmaker who hooks up young girls with old men.
Isaac Ado Bukasa popularly known as Izzo Raps has found a new baby after he was dumped by gospel singer Eunice Njeri just 24 hours into their marriage.
Izzo and Eunice Njeri walked down the aisle in a colorful wedding ceremony that was held in Texas, US on the 27th November 2016.
They broke up a day later, it’s not clear what transpired after their wedding. Both Eunice and Izzo have been pointing accusing fingers at each other.
Their 24-hour marriage aside, Eunice Njeri ex husband has found a new baby – the ultimate classic American muscle car. Ado Bukasa spent over $31,000 or 3.2 million shillings to buy a Dodge Challenger SXT.
“I love my baby! Never thought that one day I’d be riding this. #GlorytoGod” Ido Bukasa captioned a photo of his grey Dodge Challenger SXT.
When Hamisa Mobetto wrote to say I am well aware I’m not Everyone’s cup of Tea …I’d rather be someone’s shots of tequila anyway!!! trust me, she meant it and from the look of things the lass doesn’t care what people are saying about her.
This comes after Zari Hassan threw shade on her moments after one of her photos emerged showing the model wearing one of Diamond Platnumz trousers. The photo sparked a lot of interesting topics however Hamisa Mobetto’s latest photos have now given the scandal a whole new twist.
In one of her photos posted by the model just recently one can’t help but notice her flawless skin and the tattoos shouting on her skin.
But looking closely there is one one that starts with the letters ‘Chib…’ that has left fans questioning whether she had Chibu’s name tattooed on her skin or if her editors placed it there to show how much of a panic button she is when it comes to Zari.
Well, we cannot conclude this whole mystery but seems that everything is finally coming out to the open that Diamond Platnumz and Zari are not as perfect as we thought they were and even his official photographer, Kifesi, knows this too as he posted a sarcastic photo that is believed was meant for Zari.
Alex’s posts on social media depict the opulent lifestyle he used to live before he was busted by detectives; the hacker owns a sport bike, he was also a party animal.
The 28 year computer guru constantly updated his followers about his trips to several countries in Africa and Asia – he provided pictorial and video evidence to prove he had visited certain places.
From his posts, Alex travelled to Tanzania, Zanzibar, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, India, Zambia and several other glitzy destinations.
In one of his posts, Alex flew out of Nairobi because of water rationing. And when he came back and found there was still water shortage in the capital, Alex flew out again.
Alex was arrested after a police conducted a massive security operation to nab him, Nation reports that authorities received information that banks and other institutions were losing cash through suspicious electronic transactions.
He denied charges of electronic fraud and interference with KRA’s computers when he was presented before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi.
Prosecution lawyers Edward Okello and Kadebe told the court that a printout of data from seized items would fill two large rooms.
The lawyers revealed that several electronic gadgets including mobile phones, computers, hard drives, digital video recorders and servers were seized during the operation and forwarded to the cyber forensic laboratory for analysis.
Mutungi remains in police custody for now, his fate will be known on Tuesday March 28th when the court will rule on whether he will be released on bond or not.
Ever wondered why some of these celebrities never use public transport? Well, they all have their excuses and Anita Nderu’s seems to be craziest as she recently opened up as to why she quit using matatu’s.
No, it is not because she is a diva or popular…but because she had one of her boobs grabbed by some random guy and when she shouted at him, he continued to hold on it without any care in the world.
The lass has proven to be among the most humble celebrity in the country as she enjoys to interact with her fans by giving them a chance to ask whatever it is they want to know about her.
Anyway…something that has however left me shocked is that she revealed she doesn’t have alot of female friends which is hard to believe judging from how social and friendly she is.
Y’all remember Bro Ocholla right? The man who became an instant sensation after his sensual message on a prayer group surfaced on the interwebs.
He was thoroughly embarrassed with this message exposing the kind of hypocrisy being exhibited in our churches. At the end of the day, all human being yearn for 3 things; good food, sleep and a whole lot of sex. This however is my opinion so just take it on a light note.
Sister Jacinta on the other hand has thrown a yet another spanner in the works adding yet another want into the mix and that is money. Just like Bro Ocholla, she accidentally sent a wrong message to her Novena group asking her fellow members to do the unthinkable for a meager 5K.
“Looking for 5 guys who are comfortable having live sex in front of a couple, payment is 5 K. It’s more of a house party. Interested parties should inbox this number….. latest 9AM” was her message which I’m pretty sure was the worst mistake she will make this year.
Habida was the main guest in Mzazi Willy Tuva’s show on Citizen yesterday, 22nd March 2017 where they talked about a myriad of things.
The first thing was her long absentia from Kenya and the music scene in whole and secondly was her comeback which she promises will be the biggest thing to be witnessed this year.
And true to that, she had a couple of releases which I must say were quite dope.
She also talked about the Kenyan music scene and she had no kind to say about it. First of all she termed it as very complicated and difficult to penetrate but what most really got to her was the luck of support among the artists themselves.
She talked of how it’s difficult to get a fellow Kenyan artist to appear on your video without them asking to be paid or without them feeling like their presence will make your video go viral and surpass them.
She compared it to the South African scene where artist support and work together to ensure that their industry grows and feeds all of them.
She urged fellow Kenyan artists to embrace the same kind of mentality.

Last night news broke that a Range Rover belonging to Charles Njagua Kanyi popularly known as Jaguar had knocked and killed two men on Makutano-Sagana highway.
The two men who lost their lives were identified as Joseph Maingi and Mugo Abdalla, they died on the spot after the Range Rover with registration number KCB 808J hit their motorbike at high speed.
Jaguar has confirmed the Range Rover that knocked and killed Joseph Maingi and Mugo Abdalla is his. The wannabe Starehe MP sent his sincere condolence to the families of the deceased.
Jaguar assured them that the law will take its course and that the matter will be resolved amicably. (It’s not clear whether he meant compensating the families of the deceased when he said the matter will be solved amicably.)
“It is with grief that I share this post today. As it is now public, I was involved in a car accident. Sadly, lives were lost in the incident. It isn’t any ones will to wake up and be involved in an accident such as this. My heart felt condolences to the families and friends of those affected. I would like to assure all concerned that due process of the law is being followed to amicably resolve this. I pray God grant strength to the families affected as we all go through this trying moment. Lastly, lets avoid confrontational remarks in consideration to the pain it is causing the bereaved families. Be well,” Jaguar wrote.
Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko revealed Peter Kenneth was his number one enemy, he loathes him so much that he used VERY crude words to insult him in an interview on Citizen TV with Hussein Mohamed.
But extreme hatred hasn’t always been the case between Peter Kenneth and Mike Sonko, there was a time when the latter used to think highly of the former.
In a damning 53 second audio taken from the archives, Mike Sonko is heard praising Peter Kenneth’s track record during his time as Gatanga MP. Sonko also endorsed PK for Nairobi gubernatorial seat – this was after he was asked to respond to Jubilee loyalists who didn’t want him to vie for Nairobi gubernatorial seat.
Hatutachukua non-starter mtu ameshindwa ata na CDF yake tukuje tumpee ugavana,” Sonko said in the audio.
He’s currently busy selling his face and name to the Starehe Constituency electorate in a bid to represent them in Parliament come elections. But even as he’s trying to sell his manifesto, a scandal comes calling
Jaguar, a musician, philanthropist, social activist, President Uhuru’s friend and general celebrity has been thrown into a nasty scandal that may well derail or puncture his bid to represent the people of Starehe In Parliament.
According to a reputable post on Facebook, shared by one Jackson Njeru, the Founder of Facebook Group Buyer Beware, Jaguar’s Range Rover , registration number was involved in a fatal car accident a few days ago and Jaguar is at the centre of it all.
According to the Facebook post, Jaguar’s Range Rover was along the Makutano Sagana Road when it hit two Boda Boda riders, knocked them off the road, sent them flying to the other side and killed them at the spot.
Exactly who the driver was at the time is unclear. In the Facebook post, it is alleged that the high-maintainance car was being driven by a lady ….who it has been established was Jaguars friend.
But after the lady hit the two men on a motorbike, she eventually parked the car by the roadside and then called Jaguar who then showed up and attempted to deviate the truth regarding the accident.
According to the Facebook post, the moment Jaguar showed up, he started claiming that HE was the driver of the Range Rover while witnesses around the area vowed that the car was being driven by A LADY and NOT Jaguar.
And when the parents of one of the men who was KILLED by the careless female driver, who its alleged was flouting traffic rules on the congested Sagana route when the accident happened, paid a visit to the Sagana Police Station, they were told that they needed to come back with witnesses.
And that was the same story when the brother to one of the deceased visited the Station in a bid to investigate more on the death of his brother.
We have the photos of the said Range Rover with the right side of the car mangled and showing signs of a car crash .
And also photos of Jaguar posing next to the SAME car in a past photo.
Jaguar posing next to his car
The same car at the scene of the accident
Our constant calls to Jaguar to get his side of the story on the matter have all gone unanswered.
Here is the post that first appeared on Buyer Beware with photo evidence that it was indeed Jaguar’s car in the accident:
Yesterday around 3pm, along Makutano Sagana high way two young men, Joseph Maingi and Mugo Abdalla lost their lives. They were hit by a vehicle, a range rover sport, registration number KCB 808 J. The eye witness says that the driver was a lady who stopped few metres from the scene. The road is under construction, so the vehicles needed blocking to pave way for other road users and still give time to the constructors. The driver of the said Range rover did not wait in line for cars to be cleared from her side, she was from Sagana heading to Makutano while the two were heading to Sagana. That’s when she hit the duo, who were almost joining the highway.
The ‘boda boda they were using went to one side, while the two young men fell on the other side. They both died on the spot. Jaguar, the alleged owner of the vehicle came around 3.30 and said he was the one driving the vehicle, even though the eye witnesses saw the lady driving it. The policemen from Rukanga police post alerted their counterparts from Sagana who towed the vehicle away. The lady plus Jaguar left for Sagana police station. Later on, the parents to Mugo went to Sagana police station. They were denied the chance to see the vehicle that took away the life of their son. They were told to come with their eye witnesses. Today morning, Kamau, a brother to Maingi went to Sagana Police Station. He was denied a chance to see the vehicle too. He was told they haven’t found the owner of the vehicle. What has changed from yesterday? From the eye witnesses, we managed to get the photos of the car that hit them.
Yet another Popular musician has been cleared to run for MP for Embakasi South shortly after Jaguar announced his intention to clinch the Starehe seat.
Last week was rush hour for politicians who want to vie for different sits in the country as the IEBC deadline was fast closing for political parties to submit their list of members. One of these politicians was the popular musician InfluxSwagga running under his real name Hon. Augustine Kavindu. In a communication circulated on social media, he compared himself to king David in the bible, he put it clear that he had his weapons ready when goliath comes.
Here is his message
‘1 Samuel 16: 11-12
11: So he asked Jesse, “Are these all the sons you have?” “There is still the youngest,” Jesse answered. “He is tending the sheep. ”Samuel said, “Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives.” 12: So he sent for him and had him brought in. He was glowing with health and had a fine appearance and handsome features. Then the LORD said, “Rise and anoint him; this is the one.”
I am happy to announce that the Jubilee Party has cleared me to run for MP for Embakasi South Constituency after paying all the obligatory party fees and submitting all the required documents. Just like David, I have my weapons ready when goliath comes. All that remains is for the people of Embakasi South to give me an opportunity to change their lives.
Keep sending in your support on Playbill 566550 Account Name: Hon. Kavindu Hon. Augustine Kavindu MP Embakasi South 2017 #BelieveTogether’
When we caught up with his earlier today, we asked him why he was running for MP and this was his answer, ‘The youth economies has been neglected for so long in this country, we need our own in parliament because we are the only ones who can understand ourselves better. We are the majority in this country so we need maximum attention.’
When we asked whether the people of Embakasi south will take him as a serious candidate being a musician, he says that the people of Tanzania elected his Tanzanian counterpart professor Jay to parliament, and so will the people of Embakasi South.
If you thought the seductive art of twerking was the reserve of blithe college girls, who have little to worry about and too much tipple in their heads, you’re wrong.
Anyone, evidently, can twerk up a storm. But not anyone as such – you’ve gotta have the body, the skill, the booty and the will to keep that ass popping and moving.
A skill that we were not surprised Judge Jo1 masterfully possesses.
You’ve probably seen Judge Jo1 pull off those intricate dance moves that take insane Beyonce hours to master and perfect, but did you know that this charming Bermudian damsel could rock a twerk like a Jamaican mamacita!?
Well, we were a little surprised too…
Boss, Miss Jo1 is quite the twerk mistress.
Jo-1 and friend turning up the heat in Lamu
On a recent trip to Lamu, the idyllic city of the Coast, Judge Jo1, as many know her, decided to let go of her inhibitions and pull off one of the sexist, steamiest, hottest and most seductive twerk moves of recent times.
While grinding on the floor, next to her twerk comrade, Jo1 moves and glides and slides and shakes up a mighty twerk Strom that will keep you enthralled till the end.
Like a snake, the Caribbean queen works up some seductive twerk magic to the tune of the Nigerian monster hit Shoki.
Nominated MP and aspiring Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja is without a doubt a man of great talents.
Not only does he have exceptional debating skills, admirable charisma but also great musical talent. The guy can play a guitar, a saxophone and until recently freestyle.
He was the main guest at NTV Dr. Kingori where he was dared to drop a verse. Much to the shock of Dr. Kingori and his fans, he went ahead and asked for a beat and as they say the rest is history.
Just a few days after his departure from his former label, Otile Brown teams up with the Kenyan talented producer Ihaji for ‘Yule Mbaya’.
Otile Brown has created a niche for himself, melting people’s hearts with love songs and ‘Yule Mbaya’ is no different.
‘Yule Mbaya’ is song about the bitter truth of being in love with someone who doesn’t love you back and despite knowing that fact, you still cling on to that love.
Ihaji’s touch combined with Otile Brown’s soulful voice will leave you asking for more. The crisp visuals of ‘Yule mbaya’ were shot by Kenya’s extraordinaire video director X Antonio of International Textures.
Checkout the new song below…hopefully that his latest song will be a club banger like his other songs. However looking at the YouTube views Otile seems to be just fine with his fans continuing to show their loyalty.

After the totally disastrous interview at Citizen TV on Sunday night, 19th March 2017between Hussein Mohammed and Sonko someone from the Jubilee fort has come out to speak.
And it was none other but the party secretary Raphael Tuju. He had nothing but kind words for Hussein Mohammed who was conducting the interview for exhibiting patience, decorum and professionalism even when his interviewee, Senator Sonko was intent on creating chaos.
He hurled all manner of insults especially at aspiring Nairobi governor Peter Kenneth and made much unfounded allegations that some people in the current Jubilee administration were keen on barring his nomination.
Hussein Mohammed stayed calm and steered him back to the main agenda and for this Raphael Tuju is very impressed. This is what he said about the whole thing:
“I did see some of the comments from Mr. Sonko which were pretty intemperate and I congratulate you for being able to manage that particular interview. I don’t you have faced similar challenges in this particular interaction,” Tuju said amid laughter.
As for Sonko who had doubts about the nomination process in Jubilee, Tuju assured him that it would be a fair and democratic process.
Jane Ngoiri is finally a mother of one and from the look of things, she seems to be enjoying motherhood. She however chooses to keep her son’s life on the low and this is no surprise as she has always kept a low profile when it comes to her private life.
This is also the first time the NTV news anchor is introducing her mother on social media. The three had stepped out for some pizza and from the caption…most of her fans were interested in seeing the babies face hoping they would figure out who was the father.
Anyway, since she gave birth to her baby the news anchor continues to glow and has added a couple of weight here and there but she still looks hot as usual.
Below is the photo of Ngoiri’s mum and her grandson.
How do you know your music is dope if not by people singing your songs! Willy Paul has surely conquered the industry even if critics beg to differ.
The gospel singer is currently riding high on his hit song ‘I Do’ featuring Alaine which has garnered 1.3 million views in three weeks.
But ‘I Do’ isn’t the only hit song Willy Paul boasts of, ‘Fanya’ was another hit song that made tongues wag. Willy got a new pseudonym ‘Pozee’ thanks to his song ‘Fanya’.
And to prove ‘Fanya’ is such a big hit, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho was seen singing Willy Paul’s song on a campaign trail with Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi.
Willy was quick to rate Joho’s performance when he saw the video.
“MOMBASA Governor JOHO singing my song FANYA… WACHA MOVIE IWAUME” Willy Paul wrote.
NTV’s Swahili news anchor Jamila Mohamed is back and boy is she looking different! She has lost so much weight in the past few months and to prove this she has been sharing photos on her social media pages that have left many fans ogling at her.
Jamila Mohamed has now ditched her Buibui’s for stylish modern Muslim gowns which are made of several layers of chiffon, and reminiscent of Greek inspired dresses.
The dresses curve her body showing off her amazing figure that many people never knew was hidden under her clothes.
She not only joins the list of fashionable and stunning Muslim female news anchor, Jamila is now giving team mafisi some motivation to stay glued on their screens.
Below are a few photos I managed to get thanks to her Instagram account.
