The king of Kenyan comedy, Churchill, sent an inspiring message to former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, wishing him many years of prosperity as the latter was celebrating his birthday.

Yesterday being Raila Odinga’s birthday, Kenyans from all walks of life poured in their messages wishing the CORD leader a happy birth.

It was such an emotional birthday for Raila who recently lost his son, Fidel. Bearing that in mind, Churchill sent an inspirational message to Raila praising his legacy and contribution to the nation. Churchill’s message wasn’t only wishing Raila many years of prosperity, it was also encouraging the former PM.

Down is the message Churchill sent:

“We salute Jakom Hon Raila Odinga, may his legacy live on! We are fortunate as a nation to have shared his wisdom. His humility and sacrifices continue to shine through the number of initiatives that will forever come in his honour May the Almighty give him good health,”

When it comes to the game called “politics” that many people would love to call “dirty” amongst a tirade of other things, Sonko stands there, unbeaten, he is the guy who knows when to play his card, he knows when to shave his head and include a nice little patriotic message for the president. He knows when to don that spaghetti top while riding a horse- just like the perfect prince charming, and just like Prince charming of the old, The Nairobi senator has charmed allegiance out of Nairobi residents, which will keep him relevant for years to come. 

 So what has Sonko been upto lately? Well we could say that he has been out at the beach riding horses and looking pretty drag clad in a spaghetti top, but he has been doing more, for the past few months, sonko has come up with a team dubbed “The Sonko Rescue Team” A team equipped with rescue cars and ambulances  that responds to distress calls within Nairobi promptly, for example:-the building that collapsed at Huruma on Sunday, the team was at the venue promptly and effected their rescue operations diligently. 

While it might be argued that this may be for the show, or just a cleverly crafted PR gimmick, it is undeniable that Sonko has been touching lives and doing stuff for the people that elected him, Which will make him a favorite of the many for days to come.

The Jubilee Has been there for Raila and his family at their darkest hour, This form of oneness has proven that even politicians can lay down their differences for a noble cause- 

First it was their leader, The president, Uhuru Kenyatta who visited his long time Friend, Raila to condole with him and his family, Cabinet secretaries soon took  cue and visited the Family yesterday where they send their condolences. 

It is another beautiful morning in the capital city, a good day to many revelers as it marks the beginning of the long awaited weekend. A quick remainder of what is transpiring on social media; Fidel Odinga’s death is still the hottest topic while Huddah Monroe’s boyfriend surprised many with his jabs on Diamond Platnumz.  I love throwbacks on Thursdays, at least we get to see people as they were before the money and the fame. I bumped into a photo of Jeff Koinange as a baby of less than an year- apparently, there were no colored photos back then. 

This makes for a good #TBT but it just couldn’t wait till tomorrow. And why wait anyway, when you can do it today and still look cool?

She has not been on-screen for long, but Jane Ngoiri has dominated Twitter with her immaculate fashion sense and in the process become one of the most recognizable faces in Swahili news anchoring.

Despite her fame, Ngoiri has managed to keep her private life under wraps and managed to keep the skeletons in the closet. An impressive feat because she works in an industry accused to this day of relishing in ruining careers by exposing celebrities and opening the door to the skeleton-filled closet.

Jail is hard.It is especially hard if you are addicted to something and that is why Francis Kihiga deemed it fit to ask the judge for some weed to sustain him during his time in jail.

Francis who was arrested with 12 rolls of bhang worth 240Kshs begged the magistrate at a local law court to allow him to have at least two rolls of weed in prison.

The reason for this unusual request is that Francis felt that he would die if he did not get a blunt daily as he was addicted to the illegal drug, having smoked it for the last 22 years.

This is not the first time that Francis has been jailed for possessing the illegal drug as  had been imprisoned back in 199 at Kamiti prison after being caught with the narcotic.

The judge of course refused this and instead sentenced him to two years in prison.Poor guy, 2 years is a bit rash for a weed head, i think the judge should have been lenient

As I was trawling youtube checking out fashion Vlogs, I came across one blogger by the name Shirley B. Eniang and I could not help but think that she looked familiar.

And this is because she bears a striking resemblance to one of Kenya’s most popular one-of-a-kind TV presenters, the beautiful Julie Gichuru.

As days goes by, more information on Fidel Odinga’s life continue to hit the media revealing the kind of life the deceased used to live.

Fidel Odinga was a friend to many news makers in the country. From celebrities to politicians across the political divide, Fidel friendship knew no boundary.

Raila received Kiambu’s Governor, William Kabogo, at his Karen home when the latter visited the former prime minister to personally condole with him. Raila revealed Kabogo was a personal friend to the late Fidel.

Bob james Orengo had been admitted to hospital the very same day the sad news of the sudden demise of Raila Odinga’s son, Fidel Castro Odinga, hit the headlines. That was on Sunday morning.

Bob James Orengo allegedly fell sick after a night out with friends, the same case with the late Fidel Castro.

Some alleged that the two were together during the night but it was not clear if indeed they were.

However, the good news is that Bob has been discharged from the hospital and his condition is becoming better and stable.

Robert Alai Onyango says through his facebook page that Bob was discharged last evening and he is better. It can be remembered that it was Alai who broke the news of Bob’s admission to hospital.

“Bob James Orengo was discharged from hospital last evening. He is better. ‪#‎RIPFidelOdinga‬”

Standard newspapers will today fly off the stands. But for the wrong reason.

This is because of a great article recounting Fidel’s impact on the Raila family that was ruined by one wrong photo.

 The writer accidentally used Octopizzo’s photo instead of Fidel’s photo for the article  a thing that Octopizzo noted, and went ahead to express his displeasure on Instagram.

We could blame it on negligence or call it an honest mistake but for sure heads will roll thanks to this.

The Star newspaper’s Oliver Mathenge has jumped to the defense of his employers after Kenyans mauled yesterday’s headline on the Star newspaper.

The daily had run a story of the late Fidel Castro Odinga in a manner that many argued was portraying the deceased as a criminal.

The headline which highlighted how detectives had stumbled on a cache of rifles and massive number of rounds of ammunition made everyone wonder why Fidel had that arsenal but what the story said in the details was that the son to the former premier was a licensed gun holder.

This did not go down well with many Kenyans who took to the social media to bash the Star for what they termed as a reckless and unnecessary splash.

Mathenge, who seemed disturbed by the bashing defended The Star by sarcastically mocking Kenyans on twitter (KOT).

This is what he said:

Yesterday, pathologists at Lee Funeral Home examined the body of the late Fidel Odinga as they tried to come to a conclusion of what exactly caused the death of the son of former prime minister.

Family and government pathologists who carried out their scientific tests on the body of Fidel at Lee Funeral Home caused more speculation on Fidel’s death when they failed to come up with a conclusive finding on the cause of Fidel Odinga’s death.

Odinga’s family pathologists Dr Emily Rogena and Dr Bessie Byakika together with lead government pathologist, Dr Dorothy Njeru, could not conclusively come up with the exact cause of Fidel’s death. The pathologists will conduct more sophisticated scientific tests on Fidel’s body on a later date to find out the real cause of his sudden demise.

This current development is certainly causing more speculations on Fidel’s death as Kenyans are eager to know what exactly led to the unexpected early departure of Fidel Odinga. It‘s even causing more anguish to Odinga’s family since the prolonged postmortem tests could interfere with their burial plans.

On the 31st of December Dennis Okari revealed that he would be leaving his new home at BBC .

In a Facebook post, Okari wrote that “Today was my last day at the BBC. It’s been an amazing year for me and can’t wait for 2015. Happy New Year Friends.”

And yesterday, he revealed that his new home was NTV, where he received a warm welcome which involved a “welcome back” cake.

He could not hide his joy on getting back to NTV saying that “Great to be back at NTV. I had missed this family. It can’t be any sweeter than a red velvet cake and a script in hand.”

Robert Alai partially shifted his attention from inimical blogger, Mugo Wa Wairumu, to launch his attack on Betty Kyalo

fiancé, Dennis Okari.

One would probably wonder why on earth Robert Alai mocked Dennis Okari. For Christsaakes!, Dennis is one of the most humble media personalities in the country, he is not even vocal on social media (Alai’s playing ground); so why would Alai attack him?

Well, Alai has issues with Okari’s return to local media. Just to make sure we are on the same page, Okari left NTV to seek greener pastures at BBC. Apparently his return is the one that is causing jitters to one Robert Alai.

Alai “caught feelings” with Okari’s return saying he didn’t make it at BBC because of mediocrity in Kenya’s media.

So how is Okari’s return rubbing Alai the wrong way?

It has indeed been a bad week for the Raila’s with the passing of Fidel Odinga several days ago-  But like they say, you have to face the cloud to find the silver lining, the lining in this case may not be as glittering, but it is a lining all the same it may not be great consolation for such a loss, but it came in handy. The former prime minister on this day 7th January 2015 turned 70 years. 

Raila was born on 7th January 1945 to Mary Juma and Jaramogi Odinga. He shares the Birth date with Tv Queen Julie Gichuru and Jeff Koinange. Julie Gichuru Turned 41 Today while Jeff Koinange turned 49.

Citizen TV’s screen siren, Julie Gichuru, is celebrating her birthday today. Julie has gone a step further to openly disclose her age.

Celebrities celebrate their birthdays every time but HARDLY will you ever see one revealing how old they are. Disclosing their ages is like a taboo for most newsmakers. Age is like a deadly virus to most celebrities; they don’t want to “touch” it.

Once I heard someone say if you want to be ignored by celebs, ask them how old they are. But one Julie Gichuru is totally different. She doesn’t give a damn disclosing her age to the general public.

Would you believe Julie is turning 41 years today? Well, her look suggest otherwise, a much younger person; maybe on her early thirties. Don’t let Julie’s physical appearance deceive you, she is 41 years old.

Fidel Castro Odinga, the eldest son to the opposition leader and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will be laid to rest, finally, come Saturday the 10^th.

Fidel was found lying lifeless in his home at Karen on Sunday morning, a very sudden death that shook the nation to the core because of how untimely it was.

And as his family and the government do all possible to establish the cause of his death, elders in Bondo have identified a site where Fidel will be laid to rest.

Fidel’s grave will be closer to his ancestors, a small cemetery that comprises of about three to four graves.

As reported early, an autopsy was conducted on the remains of the opposition leader’s son but what really caused his death could not be established. It is believed another is expected to be carried out today.

The public will be allowed to view the corpse today.

So a nondescript guy on twitter decides to go out of his jurisdiction and call Esther Passaris, among other things, a Hoe. Esther Passaris did not take it  kindly  that she was actually called a farm tool. 

The beef started with an Omwega who tweeted :“Don’t act all holier that thou, We all know you used your %%$$ to make it..” This was after she aired her concerns on the Vihiga incest story that was run by NTV which detailed the plight of young orphaned girls who had to contend with abusive relatives.. etc etc.. 

Esther Passaris Replied to the Tweet “…And You know because you were my pimp? You are a disgrace to your mother,Your Sister and Daughter. What did you trade to make it?

In defense of her tweet Esther would say that she was doing what she was doing in a bid to clean up the rot that was afflicting the moral fiber of our society,That is when $hit hit the fan, she was questioned about her  morality, Who was she to right wrongs while she herself was as decadent as the last man? 

His over-the-top  fashion sense has often been questioned in the past.He has showed up in blonde hair, fingers heavy-laden with gold and even showed up in ripped jeans for a serious event.

But his latest crime against fashion takes the cake.Sonko shared a photo of him and his wife on a horse by the beach with a chopper by their side, but what really caught everyone’s attentions was his mode of dressing. The good senator wore a feminine garment, a spaghetti top to be specific, making it his worst stylistic pitfall.

Njoki Chege is gradually and steadily gaining fame among readers and passive followers for all the wrong reasons. This woman has chosen a path that few would want to travel in and by the way she is strongly forging forward, despite the turbulence of her escapades in the world of journalism.

Njoki’s latest article was not the first that blasted men with blue subarus. Late last year she also penned another article that ridiculed men with blue subarus where she swore never to even imagine dating such men. She considers them cheap and poor.
