After several months of mourning and begging her to come back, it appears Wasafi’s Harmonize has eventually moved on from Wolper.
The two broke up a couple of months back with both of them citing irreconcilable differences. Wolper however came out to claim that Harmonize didn’t take her seriously neither did he respect her principles and so he had to go.
The world’s first smart condom has its pros and cons; the best advantage is that it detects potential STIs but the biggest misgiving is that men who underperform won’t like it at ALL!
Some diseases will gradually become ‘extinct’ as technology keeps on advancing, Sexually Transmitted Infections will no longer be a concern if World’s First Smart Condom is proved to be as effective as its inventors say it is.
London-based company i.Con has produced the world’s first Smart Condom which they claim will break down all sorts of data to help one better understand their performance during sex.
i.Con, which acts as an activity tracker for the bedroom, will provide data such as calories burnt during sexual intercourse, the duration of your love making sessions, how many different positions you use, how many thrusts you make and most importantly the speed of those thrusts. The smart condom will also change colors if a potential STI is detected.
The device is marketed as the “world’s first smart condom,” but the i.Con isn’t a condom per se. It’s a girth-adjustable ring that sits at the base of the penis. It’s fitted with a Nano-chip and sensors that measures your performance during the throws of passion.
Once you are done making love, you upload your recent data onto the i.Con app then you will get a breakdown of your sexual performance.
Now who has been going around saying that white girls can’t dance?
Well, they got it all twisted if what transpired over the weekend is anything to go by.
Now for those not yet in the know, Nakuru came to life on Saturday night as the Chrome Vodka Street bash went down.
The crowd came in droves and was absolutely eccentric and so were the performances. They included the sexy Sanaipei Tande, the much adored Jua Cali and the much acclaimed Sauti Sol.
They were the highlight of the night as they are the brand ambassadors for chrome vodka.
As much they pulled off one hell of a performance, the highlight of the night came when this white girl got on stage and shocked everyone.
She grinded on Bien like it was nobody’s business as the crowd cheered her on and proved beyond reasonable doubt that while girls can indeed dance- I think even well than our African sisters.
Wema sepetu could be pregnant if the photos making rounds on social media have not been edited. The lass who was photographed hanging out with a person by the name name of, Lena, who is part of the Chadema Party.
Wema Sepetu is seen wearing a figure hugging blue dress and a black waterfall to accessorize her attire.
Wema Sepetu pregnant with twins in 2016
Looking at her closely one can’t miss the bulging stomach that has left many wondering whether she is pregnant for the second time. And if so, who could be the baby daddy? Idris Sultan maybe?
Well, we cannot confirm that the lady is indeed pregnant at the moment but the photo below says something different. It could also mean that she has been eating healthy…but come on.
Team Wema on social media seem a bit excited about this and as they wait for her to make the announcement, let us hope that she is not pregnant with food…lol!
Anyway below is the photo causing a stir on social networks.
But Prezzo is not proud or boastful about popping Huddah Monroe’s cherry, as a matter of facts he doesn’t want the issue to be discussed in public.
Mwana FA, Huddah Monroe and Prezzo hanging out together
During an interview with Larry Madowo on the Trend on March 3rd 2017, Prezzo said there were more pressing matters to be discussed on the media than ‘who is popping whose cherry’.
Asked to clarify about deflowering Huddah, Prezzo requested Larry to give him his phone and he dialed 999; he exposed how the police emergency number was nonfunctional in Kenya saying that resolving the matter was more important than Kenyans talking about him popping Huddah’s cherry.
Last Sunday March 5th, Churchill Show aired on NTV for 25 minutes only; the otherwise family comedy show was full of moral decay and Ezekiel Mutua and Kenyans in general couldn’t stomach it.
Churchill Show last night degenerated into a sex talk show causing uproar among Kenyans; Kenya Film and Classification Board CEO, Ezekiel Mutua, was the first to raise the alarm. He took a swipe at Churchill over what he termed as blatant moral decency.
“A stupid and horrible prank on Churchill Show. An unfortunate idiotic and foul drill, totally in bad taste, lacking in imagination and possibly the evidence of the beginning of the end of an era. That prank plus the idiotic meru-accident-laden village wag’s sex talk disguised as bicycle ride is against the Programming Code for Free-to-air radio and television services in Kenya. Any celebrity who makes money by pushing dirty content is no better than the corrupt politicians looting our country. It’s impunity and it’s wrong!” Ezekiel Mutua posted on Facebook.
Most Kenyans were not pleased with Zeddy’s prank and Jasper’s sex jokes. In the prank, Zeddy terribly insulted a ‘fan’ whom she claimed was a deadbeat dad, she used very crude words that annoyed the audience.
Zeddy responding to a fan who told her he didn’t like her jokes
On the other hand, Jasper’s silly sex jokes also vexed viewers, he was talking about ‘sex styles’ which was deemed offensive by some people.
Jasper taking on stage on Churchill Show
NTV had to take Churchill Show off air just 25 minutes after the show started airing; the show went on a commercial break and never came back. NTV instead aired adverts and a documentary until 9pm when they brought prime time news.
Churchill responded to Ezekiel Mutua’s bashing of last night’s show; surprisingly he didn’t apologize but instead said that creativity was under attack.
“When creativity is at it’s best, you’ll get all manner of things thrown along your path, to distract you, to instill fear, and to bring you down……. Jobs come and go, but TALENT and CREATIVITY is God given. Either way, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Asanta and Barakaaaaa #Churchillshow #creativity,” Churchill wrote on social media.
Below are some of the reactions from Kenyans after last night’s episode of Churchill Show:
Ngugi Isaac: Everyone is talking about Churchill live show prank.Personally I have never melted down to the meru-accent-laden village wag’s jokes as Ezekiel Mutua calls them, that to me has been the most dry joke that hardly moves my ribs,I see people laughing there and believes we all made differently.I didn’t even know Churchill live has degenerated into a sex talk show,I can now believe Churchill is a good student of Maina Mageni,it’s only on Churchill show that a pastor Kanyari and Paul Kuria can emerge from Woodwork and talk carelessly as if religious matters are so casual.
Bure Kabisa!
Lucy M Blessed: Hello Churchill please hear me out as ur fan a mother and a Christian. Today’s show was so much for a young mind like my son’s. A Smart Food Reality Show will be launched on KTN today Sunday 5th March2016 . This is the result of a unique collaboration between scientists and media with a new approach to popularize healthy and drought tolerant foods.
The TV program will be aired on Kenya Television Network (KTN) at 5pm on Sunday 5th March. The 13 episode show is a reality and drama series that highlights the use and importance of smart food, through a cooking competition. The show takes a competitive format as 9 cooking enthusiasts battle it out for the big prize in a dramatic cooking challenge.
Constestants who will be battling it out at The Smart Food Reality Show
The Smart Food Reality Show is an initiative of the International Crops Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), an implementing partner of the Feed the Future Kenya Accelerated Value Chain Development Program funded by U.S. Government’s global hunger and food security initiative, Feed the Future through the support of United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Promoting the health benefits of drought resilient crops could be one answer to the country’s devastating drought situation.
This year 2.7 million people are affected according to the International Red Cross, and the government has declared a national disaster. Droughts have become an annual problem in Kenya and a more sustainable way of living will benefit both farmers and the general population. Crops such as millets, sorghum and legumes are highly drought resilient while also being highly nutritious, which will help combat malnutrition among children and the most vulnerable in society.
“Smart Food is the smart way for the future and our aim is to take this awareness campaign to a global audience. Crops such as millets and sorghum can tolerate higher temperatures and use a lot less water. So these crops are usually the last ones standing during times of drought. We need consumers to realize their benefit, go out and buy more of them, so farmers can confidently grow more and earn sustainably. It’s a win-win situation,” said David Bergvinson, Director General of ICRISAT.
“The Feed the Future Kenya Accelerated Value Chain Development Program is supporting the ICRISAT Smart Food initiative because it is part and parcel of the technologies to increase the productivity of drought tolerant crops in value chain. We aims to promote farming as a business, improve food security, incomes and increase access to more nutritious foods to Kenyan communities,” commented Dr. Romano Kiome, Chief of Party of the Feed the Future Kenya Accelerated Value Chain Development Program.
The winner of The Smart Food Reality Show walks away with a full scholarship to the prestigious Strathmore Professional Culinary Program 2017. Each group takes a cooking challenge every week and eliminates the lowest performing members as the rest proceed to the next level. The show does not only supply nutritional and culinary education on smart food but is also laced with emotional scenes as contestants deal with real teamwork challenges.
The Smart Food Reality Show judges
Smart Food includes grains like sorghum, millets, pigeonpea, chickpea, cowpea, greengram and groundnut. We have branded them as Smart Food because they fit three criteria.
Good for the consumer: They are highly nutritious and healthy. High in protein, vitamins and micronutrients. For example millets are highly digestible and are gluten free. Legumes on the other hand are an affordable protein. Escalating levels of diabetes can be avoided or managed by sorghum and millets because they have a low glycemic index. They are high in antioxidants – fighting against heart diseases, life style disorders and cancer.
Good for the planet: These crops are critical in the drylands as they survive the harshest of environments and are most resilient hence climate smart crops. Millets, for example, are the last crop standing in times of drought. Smart Food crops have close to the lowest water and carbon footprints of all the crops.
Good for the farmer: The climate resilience of these crops means they are a good risk management strategy for farmers. Legumes have an important contribution to soil nutrition and when rotated with other crops, even increase the water use efficiency of the entire crop rotation. Their multiple uses and untapped demand means they have a lot more potential. Unlike the other crops they have not yet reached a yield plateau and have great potential for productivity increases.
The Smart Food initiative takes on two different approaches targeting two key audiences.
Promoting dietary diversity and utilization of smart food in rural communities in 6 counties in Kenya – Busia, Siaya, Elgeyo Marakwet, Kitui, Makueni and Tharaka Nithi.
Promoting utilization of Smart Food targeting consumers nationwide through a social media campaign and the TV reality show.
The overall goal of the campaign targeting urban consumers, is to promote utilization of Smart Food for better nutrition of consumers as well as to create a demand pull for smart food thereby benefiting the smallholder farmers.

When you have that ‘perfect’ boyfriend, women tend to get loose..in a way that you would send him your naked photos and videos. Most ladies have done this and their is no doubt about it either!
As usual, during one of her Instagram stories session…Huddah revealed that whenever she breaks up with a guy, she normally asks herself whether he has her nudes of them in action.
So as nasty as Huddah sounds…she is human after all and shares the same fears most women have. Not saying that all women send out their naked photos to guys but come on…I bet 90% especially from this generation have done it before.
You see them taking selfies and popping bottles together but don’t be fooled; it’s not all rosy in the Kenyan media scene.
As revealed by TV presenter Jamal Gaddafi, Kenyan media personalities want you to succeed but only to a certain extent…the extent where you don’t surpass them.
There is drama is Nederitu Gachagua’s fort and this is days before the former Nyeri governor is laid to rest.
As reported by the Nairobian today, the unthinkable happened on the very same day that he was declared dead.
All his tenants, in the various residential properties he owned across the board received letters from his sons citing that immediately they should start depositing rent in a different account from what they were accustomed to.
Gachagua’s body was not even cold before the sons directed us to pay the rent into their accounts,” a tenant who sought anonymity allegedly told the Nairobian.
Nderitu Gachagua who died due to cancer of pancreas in London had two acknowledged wives and 3 other women who were said to be in his life.
The first wife resides in London and has four sons.
Nderitu Gachagua’s body when it was received from London
It is unclear why the sons decided to take such a rush decision but rumour is rife they did so to prevent other women from preying on their father’s well which is in the billions. He was specifically paid a billion for a piece of property which was located where the Eastern bypass now sits.
Nderitu Gachagua is set to be buried at his Hiriga home in Mathira constituency on Monday, March 6.
Alikiba is quite handsome and his voice is just heavenly and though he is not as famous as Diamond Platnumz there are a few things that make him unique in his own way.
Lets break down his fashion sense. Well, you can’t deny that Alikiba dresses like a gentleman. His fitting pants and t shirts – do it for many ladies in East Africa and Africa as a whole.
He likes to keep it simple like the British men obsessed with street fashion. What’s good about his style is that he never forces to achieve a certain look. Even with just a plain white T-shirt and a pair of jeans the guy just slays!
Alikiba also has a body to die for…I mean even my mum says it! Anyway, don’t get me wrong I am not taking any sides between Alikiba and Diamond. But somethings are just open to see with your own two eyes.
Below are a few photos from his Instagram that show how Alikiba’s fashion sense is out of this world.
The arts sensation who is now fully immersed in her performing Arts School and working with various brands on fitness matters, took time off to do a photo shoot which I can guarantee will blow your mind away.
Together with her photographer, Biko Wesa, the Bermudian bombshell sat down and orchestrated a photo series which will definitely restore hope in many Kenyans that creativity still reigns among our artists.
Before she started landing all this major gigs and interviews with big media houses like Ghafla and CNN, it was quite the rough patch for singer Phy.
She recently had a sit down with our videographer Moree and they talked about the challenges she has faced in the industry and trust me they are quite a lot.
One of the most notable ones is the fact that she’s not curvaceous and showy and so the only time people pay attention to her is when she gets up on stage and sings. And that’s when she blows people’s minds away.
Phy performing at a past event
She spoke of a time when a guy told her there is no way she was going to perform at his gig because she was not well endowed to attract a crowd and it broke her.
“I felt really bad” She said.
This however has helped her to strive to be a better artist and improve the quality of her performances just to compete with these other artists who are well endowed. She can dance, play and instrument and do whole lot of other things.
Listen to her as she talks about her journey to the top:
As Mike Sonko celebrates his 42nd birthday the Nairobi Senator is also happy to have hit 1 million followers on Facebook, something that rarely happens with other members of parliament.
This is not surprising as likes to interact with his followers on Facebook. Most of the time you would find him answering questions and commenting back when fans reach out.
So far he joins the list of the most popular people on Facebook and I can bet it is not going to stop there. As we are heading towards the General elections in August, the senator will definitely use this platform to listen to what the people want how he can help them.
His popularity on social media has also grown due to the small small personal things he shares i.e his daughter’s baby shower, his house and even when he goes out partying.
Through his Instagram, he wrote to say,
What a coincidence!!! Today, my Facebook fans have reached the milestone of one million Facebook friends and today is my birthday. This the best gift my friends and fans have given me at the right time.
I wish to sincerely thank all my FB friends out there and for your contributions, support, comments and critics.
We have had meaningful interactions, exchanged views and opinions on important issues as well as sharing ideas on topical matters of both local and national importance.
This year I will spend my birthday at my free medical camp at nyayo stadium with the sick especially those who cannot afford to be treated in our private hospitals. I will refer all complicated cases to various private hospitals I have partnered with at my cost.
It is a BIG THANK YOU to each one of you and God bless you all. I LOVE YOU ALL.
Jose Chameleon’s son, Abba Marcus, aka T-rex is slowly following into his dad’s foot-steps and at his young age, the rapper is now giving many a run for their money. He is not only gifted in dropping bars but is also a good swimmer who is pretty known in Africa.
He dropped his first song Game Over which was recorded in his father’s studio in 2015 and later released a video that did well on YouTube. With a single song he managed to win a lot of fans in Uganda or should I say East Africa.

Jose Chameleon has been on the forefront helping his son with his career and so far things are looking up. The young singer has also been performing at hits dad’s concerts and daytime events giving him more exposure to have a good idea of how the business works and a good contact base from a young age, and T-rex Smith is certainly taking advantage of it.
Abba Marcus aka T-rex rise in popularity seems to indicate that he is destined for stardom levels similar to his father’s. As Jose Chameleon gets older, he’s going to need someone to replace him in the younger generation and what better person than his son?
If he continues like this, T-rex is certainly has the talent and the capability, so only time will tell what he ultimately does with it.
Yes, kill any hopes of ever courting the former actress if you had any.
Nyasuguta was recently hosted at E-Daily and she took the opportunity to open about her childhood and her quest to become the next MP for Embakasi South.
She kicked off the interview with a recent episode that happened in Muku kwa Rueben where she almost got gang raped.
Accompanied by the brother had gone to meet a group of women when the incident and she clearly remembers it like it was yesterday. She claims she was cornered by four men out of nowhere who had crude weapons and who pinned her on the ground.
When Nyasuguta when she was attacked by the goons
After that they attempted to remove her panties and it was only after the interference by one of the guys who was keeping watch that warned his buddy against raping her. She however ended up with a broken nose, bruised neck and private parts.
In the process she also talked about marriage and how she has no interest in settling with a man, ever. Apparently Nyasuguta grew up in a violent home where the father always used to abuse the mother and seeing that for a very long time led to her desisting men.
“Watching my mother being beaten by my dad provoked fear for marriage in me. That explains why I want to be single forever. I used to feel very bad watching my mum receive slaps, kicks and blows. That affected me as a child. It also made me have negative perception about men” She further told E-Daily.
Mishi Dora and Risper have since been airing each other’s dirty linen in public; the former recently exposed the latter for being desperate to be knocked up that she resorted to using tradition herbs.
The child’s name has not been identified but going by the photos, he’s pretty much unperturbed by the events that transpired.
Tuko however reached out to one of the child’s relatives who confirmed was on the way to Kijabe hospital to see whether there was a way the child’s face could be rectified.
We wish him success in his edeavours.
Meanwhile, here are photos of the child having the time of his life:
Singer TID is currently working under Mwana FA who is currently mentoring him a mnth after he admitted to abusing drugs.
The singer whose health had started to deteriorate is now focused on getting his life back on track and Mwana FA offered to walk hand in hand with him until he fully recovers.
Just recently Mwana FA revealed that TID’s health has started to improve and that their gym sessions are getting better each day. Speaking to Bongo 5 Mwana FA said that TID is slowly adopting to working out though sometimes it seems hard since he had not worked out for a while.
Romy Jones, Petitman and TID in court (Photo Courtesy)
He added that during their recent session TID got a bit too sweaty from lifting and working his body but this was a gone sign as the singer was slowly regaining his former body which he will be able to control in the coming years.
TID is however being monitored by the police to avoid him getting involved with drugs again. Anyway, hopefully with time he will manage to get back on his feet and focus on his career.
Wema who is originally a Muslim, caused discomfort among some members of her faith who thought the choker with a cross on her neck was some sort of crucifix that Christian faithful usually wear.
The Tanzanian was forced to explain that her choker had nothing to do with her faith, she further revealed that she was allowed to wear crucifix necklace since her father was a Roman Catholic.
“Naomba nitoe tamko… Nakipenda Ki-choker changu saaana… And wearing it doesnt make me any less a muslim… Maana mshaanza…! My Daddy Sepetu was A Roman Catholic FYI…!!!🙄🙄🙄 Wote tunamwamini Mungu… So if u cant accept it, Deal with it…! Kupangiwa maisha mnanijua SIPENDI….” Wrote Wema Sepetu.
The last time Mike Ezuruonye made headlines in Kenya was when he was quoted by SDE to prefer working with Huddah Monroe over Vera Sidika. Why? Because he thought Vera was too flirtatious and wants everyone, even Camera men.
This if course didn’t sit well with Vera Sidika who went on a rant all over social media attacking the actor and calling him all of manner of names. Later it was discovered that their story was fabricated and Vera had to eat the humble pie; she apologized to Mike Ezuruonye.
Mike Ezuruonye’s movie which he features Huddah Monroe
The man is currently in Kenya to oversee the premier of his movie Brother Jekwu and he passed by Citizen where he had a sit down with E-Daily’s Brian Okoth. There they talked about a lot of things including Kenyan women where Mike had a lot to say.
Well according to him, he’s entirely fascinated by the way Kenyan women embrace their identity and are so natural. In all the places he has ever been across the continent and the world, only in Kenya did he find women embracing their Africanism in such high regard.
And according to him, that makes them scoop the number 1 position when it comes to African beauty.
And that my friend is how to get laid in a new country!
Salma Mbuvu has been keeping a low profile leaving her big sister make headlines in the past few months. The beautiful lass could have been caught up with her school work…but that’s just life.
Now that she is back, Salma Mbuvi shared a beautiful message as she celebrated her dad’s, Mike Sonko, 42nd birthday
recently. In the long text posted on her Instagram, Salma Mbuvi, described her dad as a blessing and the best man she could ask for a dad.
She goes on to add that her dad has also urged her to be a better person and even when she is wrong he finds a polite way to bring her back right on track. She wrote…
To the best dad in the world, thank you for being there for me. For urging me to be better and fight harder. I wouldn’t be who I am without your kind words and wise guidance….You’ve taught me so many wonderful things. Each day you continue to teach me more through your humble attitude to your vast knowledge. I am blessed to have you in my life…I know you don’t always like my choices or agree with me, but I know you’ll always be there right by my side to support me no matter what. Thank you for believing in me and loving me…Happy birthday to the man I love more than anything. May your day be filled with love. To the one person who is always by my side, I hope you have a wonderful birthday….you’re one in a million. No, one in a billion. Actually, one in a trillion. In other words, you’re one of a kind. The best, most loving kind. Happy birthday PapitoLet the party begin @mike.sonko @sonkoforgovernor2017“
This is the first time she has spoken in a while. Before she went missing in action, the lass was seen blasting singer Marya for apparently snatching her aunts husband but turns out that Kevo had already split from Salma’s auntie and is now moving on with Mrya and their baby boy.
Just a month ago, Diamond dropped ‘Marry You’ featuring American crooner Ne-Yo. The song is topping charts across the world.
But even before Diamond’s fans could get enough of ‘Marry Me’, the Tanzanian superstar has jumped into another collaboration with Grammy awards winner Mohomobi and Congolese artist Lumino in a song titled ‘Rockonolo’.
The collabo was born out of a brief meeting between 3 artists who bumped into each other at the MAMA 2016 which was held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Congolese singer who is signed to Mohombi’s record label, attended the MAMAS 2016 with the ‘Bumpy Ride’ hit maker who also has Congolese roots. At the event, the two met Diamond Platnumz and Franko and both artists love his music. The quartet then decided to do a Remix version of Lumino’s ‘Rockonolo’ single.
The collabo puts Diamond on the roadmap to conquering international market; Baba Tifaah has also carved a name for himself in the continent – he has bagged collabos with the best in the continent including P Square and Davido.
The new project is part of Mohomobi’s initiative to create artist platform #AfricaUnited, with the goal to build bridges between African artists in form of collaboration and mutual support.
Actress Neomi Ng’ang’a refuses to settle like any average lady. She enjoys expensive things and just by looking at how she carries herself, it’s evident that the lady’s lifestyle is that of high maintenance.
Recently she shared a photo posing in a Bayerische Motoren Werke aka BMW. This being the first time she is seen with this car, the photo has left us wondering whether she is now rolling with the BMW 320i worth 1.3 million.
Being one of the highest paid actress (so we hear) and a businesswoman…It’s no surprise that she would actually own some of the most outrageously expensive cars.
She can afford pretty much anything she wants, and when you look at the people she rolls around with it is easy to assume that money is not a problem…I mean birds of a feather flock together right?
When we reached out for the comment, the actress was however reluctant to talk about the ride…but judging from her well it could be hers or a friends car.
Deputy President was in Kakamega County the other day and he couldn’t stop himself from being nostalgic when he toured Likuyani constituency.
If you must know, this is where he met his lovely wife whom he has managed to raise a family with.
He talked about how he walked 6KM almost every day just to see her from Sugoi to Likuyani and thus was very much attached to the road leading him there.
“I was fond of using the same road when coming to see her, so I feel it is my duty to have it carpeted as a sign of appreciation to my in-laws.” SDE quotes the DP who was referring to Soi-Kogo road.
Ruto and family in a past function
In the process he also took time to assure the constituents of Likuyani that he had no intention of habouring a second wife as he was satisfied with what the residents had given him.
He would however ask them to vote for him and the entire Jubilee fraternity as he would continue to take of them like he takes care of his wife.
If you can trust me with your daughter, then you should be able to trust me with your votes,” he said.
Ruto and his wife have been blessed with 6 children.

It’s panning out to be quite the week for one Eric Omondi; success, success and nothing but success.
Just the other day he experienced yet another highlight to his blossoming career when he got a chance to perform on Jimmy Fallon’s show and the audience actually loved it. Kenyans were also quite proud as they will not only be known for their athletes but their comedians as well.
While he’s busy doing his thing and making all of us proud, his girlfriend, the beautiful Miss Chanty is badly missing him and she couldn’t hold it all in without letting the whole world know.
This what she posted that the internet can’t stop gushing over:
And here was Eric Omondi’s response that will definitely leave no doubt they are the most adorable celebrity couple in Kenya right now:
Ugandan Motor rally legend Emmanuel Katto without doubt enjoyed the biggest and most passionate fan base in East Africa. The 1995, 1996 and 1997 national champion is one of only four drivers to have won the Uganda National Championship three times in a row.
The others being Sam Sali (1989,90, 91 &93), Karim Hirji (1993,94,95) and Charlie Lubega (2000, 2001 and 2002). Legendary driver has taken occasional breaks from the sport over the years due to business commitments around the globe but he is not done with the sport. In a 10-part series, dubbed ‘Emmanuel Katto Flash Back’ that will be published weekly on www.emkarally.com and www.emmanuelkatto.com we take you back in the day.
Part 1 rewinds the clock 19 years back, in the UMOSPOC Rally, the opening race of the National Championship. Katto, navigated by Kenyan Frank Gitau in a Toyota Celica ST185 plunged into a ditch, spectacularly flew so high and the impact on landing left the bonnet, door, suspension and tyres detached from the car.
Emmanuel Katto with his navigator
Katto and Gitau who surprisingly emerged from wreckage without any injury recount the accident that many spectators will never forget.
Frank Gitau recollects:
The local road construction company had dug the ditch two feet deep and 10 feet wide across the road after recce a week before. We must have been 10 metres or 15 feet in the air, then hit the right hand side bank and started the roll another 150meters. The car came to rest on its belly with no front tyres and suspension, no door on right hand side. The engine was still running and Emka engaged first gear and we moved another 20 feet or so. That’s when it appeared we were not going anywhere. No scratches, just whip lash. I was still holding the current pace note page which I still have to date. Celica GT4 ST185 built by TTE and this was 1997.
Emmanuel Katto’s racing after the horrid accident
Emmanuel Katto:
I am not an engineer but you can’t convince me that an impreza was safer than a 185 Celica. The 185 was one of the toughest cars ever built for the safari. We were doing over 200 km per hour and came out without a scratch. The chassis was 100% straight. That’s what I call a car. My accident in the pro-drive N10 was half the speed and the chassis was completely bent. You cannot even begin to compare the two cars.
Next week in part 2: We bring you Emmanuel Katto’s exciting close battles with Karim Hirji and Charles Muhangi in the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally. You will see the near misses that why Emma Katto is only Uganda legend never to have won the coveted Pearl Rally.
If you have plans of attacking anyone online, then it let it not be Willy Paul because there you have got another thing coming.
Popular Politician’s wife Mukami Mwaura-the wife of nominated MP Isaac Mwaura is learning this hard way and this after she went on a tirade against Willy Paul and Allaine.
Isaac Mwaura and wife, Mukami
Apparently, just like majority of the people, she was not pleased with the getting married stunts artists were pulling just to get mileage on their music. According to her, it was cool when the likes of Jaguar and Akothee did but it lost flavour soon after that and Kenyans should strive to be creative.
This is what she posted:
As it appears, she messed with the wrong person as what followed that was a mauling to throw you off your seat. She was asked to mind her business and drop her own tunes if she thought she could better. And just to show you Willy Paul fans don’t joke, they even got personal poking their noses into her triplets which she just gave birth to and even her sex life.
Most of them were convinced she was attracted to Willy Paul and this was her way of showing it. Here are the comments:
Former Tusker Project Fame judge Ian Mbugua is what we call fine wine, reason being he looks better as he is aging. He is among the few ‘old’ celebrities we still have in the industry but just by looking at him, one cannot guess his age.
He is the Kenyan version of Brad Pitt and his latest photos says it all. Ian Mbugua looks like a young man who is going through the ‘grey hair’ phase, but we are not complaining.
Unlike most people his age, the media personality enjoys to take photos and also travel just to say he did it when his grandchildren are older.
Judge Ian has no wrinkles…(apart from the smile brackets around his mouth) this only means that he has no stress and has maybe been observing a healthy lifestyle. Even at his age the team mafisettes cannot keep off and trust me the comments left under most his photos confirm what I am saying.
At the moment he is touring around Dubai and of course he shared a selfies to show how much he is having.
The former KTN investigative journalist quit his job at KTN to focus on his campaign to be the next MP for Nyali constituency.
Ali’s candidacy has caused a stir as he asked Kenyans to contribute towards his campaign contrary to the tradition in Kenya were politicians dish out cash to the electorates.
But what really motivated Mohammed Ali to quit journalism and seek a career in the dirty game otherwise known as politics?
Ali says he has spent a decade exposing injustice in Kenya in hope that his story would bring change to the oppressed.
“I have spent more than a decade in a fulfilling career as an investigative journalist. Many of you know me not by my name, but by the name of the program that I pioneered, “Jicho Pevu”. Through this program, we have held a light to the ugly side of Kenya, highlighting injustice wherever it occurred, be it through the corruption that brought billions of shillings of cocaine to the shores of our Republic, or the greed that saw people sell the babies of the poor to desperate, barren parents. I have never shrunk from the cause of investigative journalism, and through “Jicho Pevu”, many across the country know that my objectives have been sincere, and for the greater good of a country that I love so much,” Ali wrote in part.
He says his decade long fight against injustice using a pen and a microphone hasn’t yielded any fruit. Ali explained that the government’s open threat to the media made his work difficult.
He further revealed that open threats, money and a lust for fame in some quarters had replaced journalism. The former KTN reporter said media has been over-run by cartels – the reason why he had to quit KTN on Valentine’s Day and start his campaign to fight for injustice within parliament.
“My fellow Kenyans, I have written and talked and investigated, yet the same impunity that I saw on that hot afternoon threatens us still. We live in a time of unparalleled corruption, masked by the largesse of our leaders. We live side by side with ill-gotten wealth of “tenderpreneurs”, who we know have stolen our taxes, but who walk Scott free. In Mombasa, the scourge of drugs is wasting a generation of young men, many of whom I know personally. Yet the purveyors of their poison sit not in jail, but in the comfort of their homes. I have reported on all of these ills, yet I cannot change them. I cannot change them because the profession I love is now over-run by these same cartels. Open threats, money and a lust for fame in some quarters has replaced journalism. The government’s open threats to the media are out for all to see; they create institutions to deny the media revenue. This is why today; I can no longer remain a journalist. My conscience will not allow it.”
“My conscience also doesn’t allow me to give up on Kenya. I cannot and will not. I want to keep on fighting, for this country that I love so dearly. That is why I resigned from my post at KTN on Valentine’s Day, to recommit my love for Kenya, and stand as a parliamentary candidate for the Nyali constituency seat in this year’s general election.”
Trust me it is end month or rather the beginning of the month but things seem a bit hard for most people. Hakuna pesa. If you think I am joking then as Kevin Buo who has people borrowing him loans.
Kevin Buo’s post
The photographer earlier today blasted a local celebrity who slide into him DM to borrow one thousand shillings which he intends to refund after two weeks. If this is not struggling then tell me what it is.
Celeb borrowing Kevin Buo cash
Though Kevin Buo did not reveal the name of this ‘celebrity’ I can actually come up with a couple names…but this is a story for another day.
Things must be tough
What surprised the photographer more is that the certain celebrity was planning to refund the cash after two weeks and after doing some math it sees that the person in question would have to save up 71 bob each day in order to raise 1k in two weeks.
Do the math…
In a way I can’t really blame the celebrity who opted to borrow rather than steal from someone… Kuuliza si ujinga.
On 1st March Lupita Nyong’o turned 34 years and unlike before the lass did not step out for dinner with one of the handsome Hollywood stars. Seems that she spent her special day in the company of her good friends who gifted her with a lot of goodies as revealed on her Instagram.

Legendary talk show host Jeff Koinange has been wagging on people’s tongues ever since he announced he the return of his show on air on Citizen TV.
Twitter bigwig Leon Lidigu has written a open letter to Jeff Koinange remanding him of so many things including principles of journalism.
Jeff Koinange on Citizen TV
Read the letter below:
Dear Jeff Koinange,
Just like many other Journalists including my dear friend Miss Njoki Chege and I believe , Journalism is not only beautiful but sacred . Let’s not call a spade a big spoon . You are the ‘ biggest ‘ Journalist on TV right now and as your friend , I have decided to pen this down heartily perharps just remind you what you already know about Journalism .
Let’s start with the 5 core principles of Journalism because I noticed most issues many people had with you from most conversations online and offline were symbiotically related to them . Don’t mind the twitter chokoras and Ksh 527 blogger wannabes who were channing damaging articles and even try telling you stuff that you didn’t know about yourself . You are a blessing to them because without you , they would have died of starvation . We all know the ‘ Kazi Kwa Vijana ‘ baba Abby assured many young people was ‘ kalongolongo ‘ .
Truth and Accuracy
Journalists cannot always guarantee ‘truth’, but getting the facts right is the cardinal principle of journalism. We should always strive for accuracy, give all the relevant facts we have and ensure that they have been checked. When we cannot corroborate information we should say so.
Independence
Journalists must be independent voices; we should not act, formally or informally, on behalf of special interests whether political, corporate or cultural. We should declare to our editors – or the audience – any of our political affiliations, financial arrangements or other personal information that might constitute a conflict of interest.
Leon Lidigu with Julie Gichuru
Fairness and Impartiality
Most stories have at least two sides. While there is no obligation to present every side in every piece, stories should be balanced and add context. Objectivity is not always possible, and may not always be desirable (in the face for example of brutality or inhumanity), but impartial reporting builds trust and confidence.
Humanity
Journalists should do no harm. What we publish or broadcast may be hurtful, but we should be aware of the impact of our words and images on the lives of others.
Accountability
A sure sign of professionalism is the ability to hold ourselves accountable. When we commit errors we must correct them and our expressions of regret must be sincere not cynical. We listen to the concerns of our audience. We may not change
If you don’t mind Jeff , I have been reading alot on Johanna Vehkoo, the literary editor at the Aamulehti newspaper in Finland and a Helsingin Sanomat-sponsored fellow, who has written an extensive and very readable study examining the nature of quality journalism and how it can help to save media.
In her research paper, entitled ‘What is Quality Journalism: and how can it be saved’, Johanna focuses on what needs to be done in terms of preserving quality content and making it better. She starts by examining how media experts have defined ‘quality journalism’, and concludes that journalism’s key role is to be an independent monitor of power and the servant of citizens. But good journalism must also try ‘to make sense of the chaotic world around us.
It interprets, analyses, and strives to give meaning to all the babbling that’s going on’.Johanna interviews eleven key newspaper editors, journalists and media academics to get a sense of the role that quality journalism could and should play in the future of news, whatever platform it may be on. She concludes with seven detailed recommendations to save quality journalism, including ‘content must come before business models’, ‘journalists must specialise’, and ‘invest in quality’.
I personally learn everyday and take lessons from you and many other senior Journalists . It really sounded crazy when It dawned on me that Jeff was off TV . I know big online critics Nyakundi might have thrown a party at B-Club but in my opinion we are supposed to cultivate a culture of uplifting one another regardless of the situation.
Do you remember how Kenyans poured their hearts out for Esther Arunga? Some even wanted her to come back home and do it from Kenya. Am glad that now you are back , ready to take on more challenges and smoke them out . While at your new work place , please say hi to madam Farida Karoney for me , she has been my mentor ever since I joined campus and finished a few years ago . Also tell miss Lilian Muli I have missed her and I called her jana she didn’t pick up . Good to see you back Jeff ! Lastly in this election we need a special type of Journalism .This is journalism that takes the public good as its driving principle, journalism aimed at providing citizens with accurate information so they can make informed decisions about their lives, journalism that exposes wrongdoing and gives voice to the voiceless. This sort of journalism holds to tenets of ethics, accuracy and social justice. And journalism of this sort lies at the heart of a functioning democracy. Always remember that most people know good Journalism when they see it .
Kiss FM presenter Adelle Onyango has made it to the cover of True Love; it’s such a big deal to her because of her late mother Mary Onyango.
The late Ms Onyango, who until her death in 2012 was vice chairperson of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), was featured on True Love Magazine years ago where she talked about her fight with breast cancer.
Adelle Onyango with her mother Mary Onyango
Mary Onyango battled breast cancer since 1999 when she was first diagnosed with it until her death at Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu on March 31st 2012.
“My late mum was on the cover of/in true love_ea many years ago sharing her journey battling breast cancer. We were so excited when it came out because first it was a daring shoot (topless) and she was candidly opening up about fighting breast cancer! I remember being so proud of her!!! She was so fearless and so aware that her purpose was bigger than her. So self aware and strong!”
“To be on this month’s cover and have my story in this mag is powerful for me and a true connection to my mum’s journey! I truly hope mine and Terryanne Chebet’s stories inspire you!” Wrote Adelle Onyango.
Terryanne Chebet, who was also featured on March 2017 edition of True Love magazine, also talked about her struggles.
“Someone asked me the other day if I knew that my anchoring days would end so prematurely ( or so I thought) I responded after having a reflective and personal moment. Yes, sometimes you can see it because, for one, they stop looking into your eyes.. I’ve learned in the last few months that not many people are really interested in the salutation ‘How are you doing?’ Because, ‘I’m fine’ is the easy answer and sadly it’s not always true. This month on TrueloveEA I share the story of reinventing myself. I hope my journey inspires someone to believe in himself/ herself, and pray, no matter what. The incredible Adelle Onyango also shares her moving story after the death of her loving mother to Cancer, and rising to the top despite all odds. Thanking True Love East Africa for believing in us! #Godwins”
Ok let’s give credit where credit is due… The Chinese have done such a wonderful job on the new train stations.
The only problem is the butt ugly locomotives that will be used in the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR). Kenyans were shocked when they first saw photos of the SGR trains.
Then sometimes in January this year, Kenya Railways released a video showing how first class passenger coaches on the new SGR trains look like. It was HORRIBLE! And KOT reacted.
But the Chinese have compensated for the ugly locomotives with state of the art train stations; the Chinese received standing ovation when photos of Mombasa West train station were seen by the public.
Seriously what’s wrong with Bungoma! From Kes 109,000 wheelbarrows saga to James Bond and now increased incidents of bestiality.
Just last November 2016, a certain Gabriel Simiyu from Bungoma made headlines across the nation after he was busted having sex with a neighbor’s goat.
Simiyu confessed he had passion for engaging in acts of bestiality, he said he didn’t know what was driving him to quench his thirst on animals.
26-year-old Gabriel Simiyu was caught pants down raping a neighbor’s goat in the wee hours of Friday night November 4th 2016
Fast for forward to February 24th 2017, another ‘Simiyu’, this time Kevin Simiyu, was caught having sex with a hen.
18-year-old Simiyu was caught defiling the hen by the owner Judith Nasimiyu at around 7pm, the incident happened at Nandolia village, Kanduyi sub-county, Bungoma County. Nasimiyu revealed that the hen died of exhaustion after Simiyu defiled it.
Kevin Simiyu appeared before Bungoma law court on Thursday, 2nd March 2017 where he was sentenced for engaging in acts of bestiality.

Simiyu asked the court to be lenient with him; he admitted having sex with the hen and went on to explain that he is despised by women because he’s poor.
Magistrate Stephen Mogute however sentenced Simiyu to 15 months in prison. He will be incarcerated at the Bungoma G.K prison.
Well, trouble is brewing in Diamond’s court and it has everything to do with his son Prince Nillan.
According to Tanzanian global publishers, Diamond’s mother Sandra Kasim ‘Sanura’ is not happy with all the photos circulating online trying to Prince Nillan is Ivan Ssemengwa’s kid and not Diamond’s and so she summoned Zari to finally put the matter to rest.
The contents of their discussion however, nobody really knows as Sandra failed to reveal to the media the contents of their discussion.
Zari with Prince Nillan before he was unveiled
This is however not the first time the paternity of Diamond’s kids have been put in question. Even Tiffah was alleged to be Ivan’s but Diamond came out to deny this allegations.
“I am the father, I’m the one who knows the truth about these kids. I don’t like answering to these allegations because when I do, I’m giving mileage to people without any reasonable doubt. Why should I do that? That’s why I stay silent because only I know the truth” Diamond said in a previous interview.
Keep it ghafla as we try to dig out the contents of Sanura and Zari’s meeting.
Ladasha Belle is born of celebrity parents DJ Mo and Size 8 and slowly but surely she’s becoming a celebrity herself.
First of all she keeps us up to date with whereabouts everyday on instagram, in a handle with 136K followers and reminds us that she’s cooler than most.
Actually we think she’s the coolest kid on instagram and these photos are outright proof:
Wahu Kagwi is undeniable hot…like really hot. Her chocolate skin and short African hair does it for many. Her husband Nameless also finds her really beautiful and this is the main reason he chose her as his better half and mother to his children.
Surprisingly Wahu has has always been beautiful since she was a young girl…don’t get me wrong but most people change during adolescent and we all know this. Wahu on her wedding day
But for Wahu she has maintained her looks since she was in High School and a throwback photo she recently shared confirms this. Her petite body and glowing skin can be seen in the photo that has left many fans ogling at her.
She now has two beautiful daughters and the lady hasn’t changed much. Her body somehow manages to loose the baby fat easily making her go back to her figure.
If you doubt what I am saying then checkout the photo she posted and captioned to say…
😅😅😅 must have been form 1 or 2 #yesunibwana #watuhutokafar #tbt!
Mombasa was totally lit today and I mean literally all courtesy of Kenya Copyright Board (KECOBO).
After starting off in Nairobi, it was the 4th stop as they continue to engage stakeholders in the common quest of making CMO’s function better.
For the longest time now, Kenyan artists and other stakeholders have always complained that CMO’s were not serving their interests, that they were money making schemes for certain people while the artist continued to languish in poverty despite being the sole creator of the art being peddled.
This alarmed Kenya Copyright Board and led by their CEO Mr. Edward Sigei, they made an effort to visit various towns across Kenya to listen to the concerned parties in an attempt to create better regulations and management schemes which would benefit everyone.
They started off in Nairobi, headed to Eldoret, Kisumu and today they were stationed in Mombasa where people showed up in droves.
Look at some of the pictures:
The next stop is Isiolo on 7th March at Silver Bell Hotel.
If I am not mistaken there must be something all these celebrity females seeing in Timmy Tdat. I mean it all started with Kush Tracey then kidogo kidogo Dela and now Avril.
Could it be in his looks? Or rather bad boy attitude? Sadly I cant put my finger on it since I guess I have gotten so used to how these celebrities attract attention to themselves.
However, this time around both Timmy Tdat and Avril were not doing it for the attention. The two were actually out partying and one can see Timmy Tdat holding on the sheesha pipe when Avril stood to grind on the usinikazie hit maker.
Though it was a short dance…Timmy Tdat will always hold on to that memory of having such a hot lady like Avril dance on him for him.
Anyway, it is also good to see the artistes bonding and having fun among themselves…I mean this only happens once in a while right?
Below is a screenshot of the actual video of Avril bumping and grinding on Avril.
Wema Sepetu must be in love with Kenya. In the past few months we have seen her jet in for events but we are yet to find out what she is up to this time around.
She could be here to cool off after going through so much in the past few weeks. We saw her get arrested about 4 weeks ago and after she was released the lass announced that she had moved to Chadama political party, something that shocked many.
It is also unlike her to come to Kenya just to bum but she could have decided to jet in for a short vacation by herself.
Through her Instagram page the lass posted two photo captioning
Sepetu in Kenya
I had a great day today….!! I must say I Just loooooooooove Nairobi, U guys are awesome…!! Got a lot of selfless but you can add me on snapchat-we have more fun Kule
Well, I guess we will just have to wait and see what the lass and her team are doing in the country.
