David Mutwiri intended to kill Mr. Opudo when he found him red-handed sleeping with his wife but he managed to run away wounded and in a towel.
Mutwiri, a businessman in Meru, claims that his wife pretended to go to work for night duty only to end up in Opudo’s house for a night of debauchery.
In a letter addressed to Crown Paint, Mutwiri claims that Opudo, field sales manager, slept with his wife on Thursday January 26th 2017 at a house located near Kenya Methodist University (KeMu) in Meru town.
The distraught man said he followed his wife and his secret lover to the house after enlisting the help of boda boda operators who helped track them.
He confessed he intended to kill Opudo but he was stopped by a watchman and neighbors who responded to wails from the house.
“At around 2.30 AM we found the same car parked inside a plot near Kenya Methodist University (KEMU) and when we asked the watchman to enter, he resisted, I explained to him the issue and bribed him with shs 200. He told us the man is called Opudo and he had arrived 20 minutes ago with a lady and he directed us to his house in 1st floor of the building.”
“Inside the house, the lights were still on and I heard the voice of my wife shouting inside. I pushed the door which luckily was not locked and we managed to get in. We found them in bed, both NAKED and we attacked them with swords and unfortunately we did not manage to kill the man when the watchman came to rescue him and the neighbors also woke up and gathered.” Mutwiri wrote in part.
He vowed to kill Mr. Opudo even after he reported the matter to the police. Mutwiri says he rather pays gangsters to track him and shoot him.
“He ran away in a towel to the parking and started his car and drove away. We went with my wife but now we have divorced. Yesterday I consulted CID police and they advised me to get a court order though an advocate/lawyer. I will not file any case for now but I will GUN DOWN that guy. I have tracked him and I got some information that he was admitted in Mirimani Hospital nursing serious wounds. HE WILL NOT survive in Meru. I would rather pay gangsters to truck his routes and gunshot him. It is very painful to find someone in bed with your wife.”
